This cute, sweet and entertaining story which follows three girls at a ski resort going about their lives. Each different from the next, it covers a lot of topics so heavier than others yet draws attention to real life issues as well as loads of fun in the snow. Such a great follow on from the previous novellas as you get to read more about the amazing characters.

Really enjoyable read. Good characters and a Good story. Well worth a read. Think others will enjoy.

As someone who can't ski, this has a little appeal to me as I think it would be fun to be a chalet girl and live in the snow. However, it looks like something is in the air with this round's Chalet Girls. We have Lucy who has escaped life in the Scottish highlands with her strict parents and is living her dream life in the snow surrounded by skiers and snowboarders. She even starts to fall in love with famous snowboarder Seb, but what will happen when just as she is getting close to him he is in an accident, and then tragedy hits her hometown? Sophie is engaged and should be happily planning her wedding, but her world is rocked when she learns due to an old rough boyfriend she can't get pregnant and looks like they are having trouble with the adoption agency due to her therapy sessions and place more stress on her, Thomas - the horrible ex is vacationing in Verbier. Beth had lived a hard life and was raped when she was younger and now just as she gives her heart away; it looks like she has landed in bed with another lousy seed. Will Beth ever be able to move on and find Mr. Nice guy? We also have stories and snippets throughout the book from the other Chalet girls - Rebecca, Tasha, and Amelia. Reading Chalet Girls also presented good memories as I had read years ago a few books in the Confessions of a Chalet Girl series by Lorraine Wilson.

This novel was fast to take off and draw me into the world of a ski resort. However, after a few chapters, the chopping and changing between characters made it hard for me to keep focused on what was happening in the novel

I'm over the moon with my long awaited fictional return to Verbier, home of the the wonderful Chalet Girls. I love the action on the slopes but its the apres ski, and the relationships that really appeal to me too. Within minutes of my spotting the first mention of some of the longest running recurring characters in this series, I felt as though I had come home.
If you haven't read any of the previous chalet girls novellas then don't worry as this can easily be read as a standalone, and all the relevant back story is included. If you have read even some of the others, you may well recognise Holly, Tash and Sophie and you will see how their stories are progressing.
In fact Sophie is one of the three girls this book is focusing on, and up coming nuptials with the incredibly sexy Luc. Then there is Lucy who has had a rather sheltered upbringing, but she can't help but fall for Seb, the adrenaline filled extreme skier. Beth on the other hand, is new to Verbier and its clear something has rocked her world back in the UK, as she seems rather nervous but also determined.
With all three of our main girls there are in amongst the romance and sex filled storylines, they each have their own problems to overcome, which do add some more serious moments to this generally light hearted novel.
I found Chalet Girls incredibly pleasurable to read on so many levels, that I did have to take a break half way through, or I would have needed a cold shower, from the heat level of the more intimate scenes. I always enjoy Lorraine Wilson's descriptions of men and sex, and even though this is a longer book than the rest of the Chalet Girls, the pace and intimacy levels don't drop off or become stale.
I really don't think there was any element of the Chalet Girls that I didn't thoroughly enjoy. I love the setting of Verbier, delving deeper into the lives of Lucy, Sophie and Beth and their men, and I just wish I had any sense of balance so I could visit and enjoy the slopes for myself!
Thank you so much to Netgalley and Harper Impulse for this copy of the book which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

This was lovely and really enjoyable. The group of girls develop a close bond and they go through so much together. The book has so much packed into it and each of the girls are so much stronger and happier by the end.

This book was a little disjointed in the way that it was written but once I got used to it the story itself was ok.

Before I begin I will admit that the cover of the book is what sold this one to me and I’m so glad it did because the story inside is well worth the read.
Chalet girls is the story of girls who work at a ski resort. Everyone has their own story and I must say I found all of the characters very interesting.
I was expecting this book to be a light fluffy girly read but I must say it’s so much more and well worth the read.
This is the first book I have read by Lorraine Wilson and it definitely will not be the last, now I want to go skiing!
Thank you to Harper Impulse & Netgalley for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

This was a sexy read set in a ski resort in Verbier. Lucy , Sophie and Beth work in the ski resort and we follow their days and nights working and socialising. There is plenty of romance and healing of heartbreaks along with family issues to resolve.
Luc and Sophie are engaged and supposed to be planning their wedding- but families get in the way of the best set plans. I loved their relationship- Luc is such a romantic. The emails her mum sends give lots of added details about the pressures she's feeling. You can just imagine the plans her mum is making.
I loved one of the quotes in this book- 'Like I'm a jumbled up jigsaw and he's looking for the edge pieces, working out where to start'! Doesn't that conjure up some images?!

I love this series.
When I heard we would be getting a full-length Chalet Girl novel I squealed. Literally. I've been following this imprint of HarperCollins since it was set up, and Lorraine Wilson was one of the first authors I requested a book from. Ever since then I've been dying to be taken back to the snowy world with another Chalet Girl story.
While I wouldn't exactly call this an official full-length novel, it was a great read I couldn't put down. It's more like three novella-length stories--Lucy, Sophie, and Beth's--all linked into one book. It's told in first person from the POV of the girls.
At first I was a little put off by the separateness of the characters and their stories. It felt like every chapter I went back to the beginning of a new story and wasn't really making much progress. However, once I got over that I fell in love with Lorraine's writing all over again. I got lost in the sweet world of the chalet girls and could put the book down.
The one thing I love most about these books is the sweetness. While there are some hot and steamy sections, the writing is also unashamedly cute. They are perfect reads to curl up with in the winter; they're cosy, easy books and I can't help but smile while reading them.
As for the characters, I enjoyed all three stories in this book. I was also glad a number of previous characters--Holly and Tash--we're included. All three romances were cute and had their own twists to keep things interesting. They also all flowed together well to culminate in the wedding. I thought the author did a good job of merging the stories so that, while it's technically three novellas split up, it felt like one book.
Overall, I love this series. It's been awhile since I've had the pleasure of reading a Chalet Girl book, but it was worth the wait. I'd definitely recommend these books to anyone wanting an easy, feel-good read that will put a smile on your face.

The first thing I have to mention are the emails from family members and friends to Beth, Lucy and Sophie. They were a lovely addition to the book and were fun to read. It was great to get an insight into the characters friendships and relationships. I have to say Sophie's emails from her mother were entertaining for the reader but I did feel sorry for her at the level of interference she faced from her.
Even though the story follows three characters you quickly get to know them as individuals with their own personalities. If I had to pick a favourite I can honestly say that I would struggle. However I guess if I had to choose I would have to go with Beth. She is courageous and has hope which I thought were great qualities to have. Although saying that I did enjoy reading the book from all three perspectives as the characters stories were so different but each going through a tricky situation.
Lucy and Seb's first meeting was great it definitely made me smile to see Lucy's reaction to meeting her idol. Lucy and Seb have brilliant chemistry, very sizzling! I loved Beth's strength and determination even after her horrific past as she tries to live her life and move on. The connection that Dan and Beth share is lovely, it was great seeing them get to know each other. Another thing I liked about Beth is that I'm pretty sure I would be exactly the same as her when she learns to ski and be no good at all! Sophie was definitely intriguing I wanted to know what her back story was and I really enjoyed seeing her story unfold.
Some of the characters from the Ski Season novellas are mentioned so I'm pretty sure if you enjoyed those series of books you will enjoy Chalet Girls. However it is definitely a standalone book as I never felt like I had to read the novellas first or anything. The story flows smoothly even when transitioning from one characters point of view to another. Even though there are plenty of light hearted moments there is also depth to the characters as their lives aren't 100% perfect this definitely made me more invested in their stories.
I am so glad that I picked Chalet Girls up, the characters that Lorraine Wilson has created are interesting, engaging and full of life but they are also realistic with complicated lives and pasts. Along with a story that whisked me away to Switzerland and made me feel as if I was right there. I have never really been interested in learning to ski and if I'm honest I am not the biggest fan of snow. However after reading Chalet Girls I can honestly say I could be tempted to try it!
Flirty and sizzling at times but with plenty of heart warming moments!
Five stars from me!
Thank you to Harper Impulse & Netgalley for my copy. This is my honest and unbiased opinion.

Sorry I couldn't get into this book will try again another time

I read the very first Chalet Girl novella a couple of years ago and while I haven't read any since I've always remembered it fondly.
When I learnt we were getting a new Chalet Girl story and a full length novel at that it went straight onto my tbr list.
Chalet Girls is told from the point of view of several chalet girls working at a ski resort in Switzerland. Some of these girls have been introduced previously in their own novellas. As their histories are recapped I don't think it was any hinderance that I leaped straight into this book before reading all the novellas.
While these girls have working at a ski resort in common they are all at different stages of their personal lives and have fled to Switzerland for very different reasons. I really enjoyed getting to know these girls better as they learnt things about themselves and adapted to the changes in their circumstances.
I seriously want to be best friends with these girls. I can't tell you how much I'd love to gossip with them over a Kir Royale or two. Hic. I also really want to give Beth a big hug. All the girls went on a journey in this book but I feel like Beth took the biggest leap of faith. I really liked her a lot.
This book is sexy, sweet and serious all in good measure. I really loved having a longer book to fully experience and enjoy Lorraine's writing. I'm not quite ready to leave the chalet yet so I'm glad I still have some of the novellas to read.
