Everything changes when Tara wakes up naked in her neighbor's bed- and he is dead. She flees back across the street, but she knows in her core she didn't do it. Then people are looking at her teenaged daughter, and she admits, she suspects it is possible. Did Rosie kill him? Someone else? She knows his death is going to destroy her family.

This had plenty of twists and turns, tons of suspects. Almost too many- everything you knew changed constantly. Overall, it was okay. There were a bit too many stupid plotlines that didn't truly add to the story that kept me from loving it.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

While You Were Sleeping by Kathryn Croft is an entertaining, domestic thriller. Even though I felt some parts didn't add up this aspect didn't take away from my enjoyment.

I would like to thank Bookouture & NetGalley for providing an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest and fair review

A gripping psychological thriller that I couldn’t put down. This book reeled me in from the start. I recommend this book to all psychological thriller fans.

A captivating read and kept me guessing, although some parts did lag a little. There were a handful of times when I had to put the novel down because the pacing was starting to slow (I prefer my crime novels to keep a continuous, fast pace).

Unfortunately, I read this book back in 2017 but completely forgot to upload a review on here, so can't remember exactly what I was going to say about it!

Sorry for late review - just catching up after a busy 12 months. Loved this book a lot - the author never fails to deliver a great story with great characters and really well written. No wonder it's recommended so much by so many different people. Will definitely read more by this author.

At the start of this novel, main character Tara wakes up in her neighbor’s bed - with no memory of how she has gotten there, and with him dead beside her. Believe it or not, things get crazier from there with one insane twist and turn after another. Pretty much nothing about this book was remotely believable, yet somehow it was still entertaining to read in all of its preposterousness.

Thia fast-paced plot had me speeding through the book, desperate to know what was happening, which is my favorite kind of book. Kathryn Croft did so well in delivering a thrilling story that was un-put-downable.
The characters had many layers to them (and secrets) which just added to the thrill.
I absolutely loved the beautiful writing, which gripped me from the very first page. Loved this!

While You Were Sleeping is a psychological thriller which focuses on Tara Logan and her family and the effect that keeping secrets can have on your family, friends and those you are closest to. Tara wakes up next to her dead neighbour, in his bed. What happened to Lee? And why is Tara there?

I read this book in two sittings. I couldn’t put it down because the narrative is almost compulsive in its delivery. The characterisation is interesting too. To be honest, the only character I liked, was 11 year old Spencer. Intuitive but searingly innocent, he is the least tainted character in a book full of terrible people.

Secrets have the ability to destroy lives, and While You Were Sleeping is a good example of what can happen to those who hide things. It seems as though everyone is hiding something, which creates seriously unreliable narrators and makes the reader question everyone and their motives.

I found While You Were Sleeping to be a fast-paced read. Full of characters that are divisive and morally wrong, it’s definitely going to be interesting to see how other readers will get on! For me personally, it was not as gripping as her previous books but still a good read all the same. Pure escapism, with a hint of implausibility, but I was hooked nonetheless!

I enjoyed a few other Kathryn Croft's books and this one was no exception - fast paced, twisty, with interesting characters. It wa a little unrealistic in places, but this time s fiction after all.

Thank you to Netgalley, the publisher and the author for the opportunity to read this book in return for my honest opinion.

I enjoyed this book. It had a good storyline and the characters were interesting. I think some of the decisions and actions of the characters seem a little dubious, but it kept me reading and definitely entertained me. Many plot twists and turns and a large suspect list left me wondering who and I needed to know. Not the best book in this genre, but a good read and worth your time.

I will most likely be checking out other books by this author.

This is the first book I have read by Kathryn Croft but it certainly won't be my last. I am really liking books at the moment that have an unreliable narrator and this book is as unreliable as you can get. Along with characters that aren't very likeable, then this book will keep you guessing throughout!!
