I loved reading as I kid but struggle to find time as an adult. It’s often impossible to sit down to focus. This title changes that and packs a memorable punch! Truly savage!
I loved the characters and the storyline development of this book. It was absolutely one of my favorites so far and I can't wait to delve in to the next one that this author writes. The storyline was simple, enjoyable, and entertaining.
A great fast paced read from two masters. It might go over the top and be implausible in spots bur you, like me, will keep reading thanks to the storytelling and the pacing. This is the sort of thriller that's perfect for travel.
FBI Special Agents Nicholas Drummond and Michaela Caine are the government’s Covert Eyes—leading a top-notch handpicked team of agents to tackle crimes and criminals both international and deadly. But their first case threatens their fledgling team when the Fox calls from Venice asking for help.
Kitsune has stolen an incredible artifact from the Topkapi Museum in Istanbul, and now the client wants her dead. She has a warning for Nick and Mike: she’s overheard talk that a devastating Gobi desert sandstorm that’s killed thousands in Beijing isn’t a natural phenomenon, rather is produced by man. The Covert Eyes team heads to Venice, Italy, to find out the truth.
From New York to Venice and from Rome to the Bermuda Triangle, Nicholas and Mike and their team are in a race against time, and nature herself, to stop an obsessed family from devastating Washington, DC.
I absolutely love the Brit in the FBI series! Highly recommended.
The Devil's Triangle by Catherine Coulter and J.T. Ellison was more than a great read. The Devil's Triangle was a thrilling roller coaster ride full of action, a bit of comedy, romance, and strong characters. Kitsune or more known as the Fox, has the talent to steal a very rare artifact while it heavily guarded museum, and soon realizes that her life life is in jeopardy. While on the run for her life, F.B.I Special Agents Nichols Drummond and Michaela Caine, pursue too, but soon join forces in stop an unthinkable crime against humanity. Cassandra and Ajax Koath are from noble blood, pursuing The Arc of The Convident, as their mother before them. Nothing will stop the twins from attaining their life heritage goal, not at any cost. Truly an amazing read.
A great read. Can someone really control the weather? And, if so, how, why, and when? The Devil's Triangle deals with all this and much more. It starts as a straightforward international mystery. The Fox, a globe-trotting thief, steals a precious artifact from the Topkapi museum in Turkey. When she goes to turn it over to her client, she is nearly killed. The important thing is what she hears.
She calls Nicholas Drummond and Michaela Caine, who are the leaders of the new FBI Covert Eyes group. They have wide latitude to follow leads about almost anything.
The chase takes them across Europe and then into the Caribbean.
If you want a read that keeps you interested with every page, a good read for you. And, language is not bad.
Once a great fan of this author my exuberance is flailing. The main character is so far from reality that I could not suspend disbelief enough. The plot was not bad but the execution of the development was poorly researched and slow moving. Perhaps it was the collaboration of two authors that led to the inconsistent connection to previous books. It was an effort to finish this book.
Catherine Coulter is writing with J. T. Ellison trying to keep her FBI series going. The story is ok, but perhaps Ms. Coulter should hang up her spurs and enjoy retirement.
THE DEVIL’S TRIANGLE By Catherine Counter The suspense, thrills, and romance keep this story hopping until the touching end. This is a heartwarming book readers will have a hard time putting down. It is a 5 star must read.
The mystery / thriller writing is good. I enjoy the further development of the FBI characters. The concept of them working together with a criminal who has vexed them in the past is really interesting. It adds to the drama of the book.
The concept of finding the staff of Moses and the Ark of the Covenant seems a bit far fetched and not exactly what I was interested in with the novel.
Instead I was very interested in the concept of controlling the weather and using that as weapon against people, nations and cultures that someone dislikes. That particular portion of the book gave me the desire to keep reading and finding out what happened.
Coulter and Ellison have a good concept with this series and it is one that I am sure will be excellent as it continues to grow.
This was another great book in the Brit in the FBI series. In this one, Kitsune, steals the staff of Moses and then learns that the people that she steals it for are not nice people. She ends up working with the FBI so that she can keep her husband safe and alive. This is an action packed book full of fun and danger. This is one not to be missed!
I’m so sorry. This is just not the book for me. I like Catherine Coulter, but this is more fantasy than mystery. It didn’t engage me. Perhaps it will others.
Kitsune -master thief- has been hired to steal Moses staff form the Topkapi Museum in Turkey and does it. She went to collect her fee when those who had hired her tried to kill her and she almost dies. Kitsune escapes and hears the same people who tried to kill her bragging about causing a huge dust storm in Gobi desert that is killing thousands. Then the same people kidnapped Kitsune’s husband Grant. The People are the evil insane twins Cassandra and Ajax . Appleton Kohah had taken the Tesla coil and got inspiration from a weather machine Da Vinci had designed. He made the machine to be a destructive “Storm Machine.”,Cassandra and Ajax wanted to rule the world. They were looking for the Ark Of The Covenant. The twins were the last of the Koath and if they find the Covenant they would have powers greater than any known man. Kitsune contacted Nicholect Drummond and Michela-Mike- Carla. They can pick the assignments they take and the take Kitsune’s call and request for help. And come to Italy.
This book just wasn’t for me. I just couldn’t get into it. I weather machine in evil hands just didn’t keep my interest. Also there was to much repetition in the portrayal of the Italian cops. Also the dialogue didn’t seem very natural to me in most cases. I am sure there are a lot of others that will love this book it just wasn’t for me.
Too much was thrown in this book! People trying to control the weather, search for the Ark of the Covenant, theft of Moses' staff and etc. was just tiring.
I've been a Catherine Coulter fan for a very long time, yet this one story did not resonate for me, in actuality I was unable to finish the book. Normally if I'm not getting invested in a story I'll slug through it, I hate to not finish a book...I've found that if a story has a slow or weak beginning and I hang in getting past that part, the rest is worth it. Unfortunately this story is not the case. When I saw it wasn't improving I just couldn't keep reading. I'm sorry to say I won't be reading any additional stories in the series.
This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher and NetGalley. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.

The Devil’s Triangle is the fourth book in A Brit in the FBI series and is my first. I was able to pick up with the story without having read the other books in the series.
This was quite an action-packed thriller. I love books with a historical element and this had a lot of it. Topics included: Tesla’s inventions, Da Vinci, The Ark of the Covenant, The Bermuda Triangle, and controlling the earth’s weather. I thought the story flowed well and the author was able to hold my attention throughout.
My favorite characters were Nicholas and Michaela, both FBI agents in charge of the Covert Eyes team. Kitsune was also an interesting character. She is a thief who stole an artifact and then finds out the client who hired her wants her dead. She ends up asking the FBI Covert Eyes team for help so an unlikely partnership develops.
I would definitely read more from this series and recommend it to anyone who loves a good mystery/thriller/suspense with some historical elements. Four out of five stars for The Devil’s Triangle!!!
This gripped my attention from the beginning until the last page. Great storyline.
I was provided an ARC of this book. What if the Bermuda Triangle was a man-made phenomenon? What if the descendants of Moses could manipulate the weather to aid in their lifelong search for the Ark of the Covenant? This is the gist of this very fast paced thriller. A sudden and very powerful dust storm strikes the Gobi Desert and creates a sand tsunami that buries Beijing, China and kills thousands. As the story unfolds, a far more sinister plot is revealed (no spoilers here). The British in the FBI team find themselves entangled in a shootout in Venice and meet Kitsune, the best thief on the planet. The FBI team goes from seeking to arrest her to saving the lives of her and her husband, who has been kidnapped by a family bent on unleashing the power of the Ark of the Covenant.
The action moves from Venice to Cuba and the Caribbean but doesn't become any less intense. Characters are saved on moment and captured the next. It's a nonstop, seat of the pants thriller that doesn't let up one iota - right up to the shocking conclusion. I will definitely read more from these authors.
Catherine Coulter's "The Devil's Triangle" is thrilling, suspenseful, action-packed and intriguing. It is part James Bond, part Indiana Jones and part Dan Brown's "The Da Vinci Code."
The story is about two FBI agents, Nicholas Drummond, ex-Scotland Yard and Michaelis Caine (aka Mike). After master thief, Kitsune ("the Fox") steals Moses' staff from The Topkapi and is nearly killed by her employers after delivering it to them, she contacts Nicholas for help. Her husband has been kidnapped and will be killed unless she shows up in St. Mark's Square in Venice. Nick owes her, so he and Mike show up to help. There is a big shootout and a la James Bond, Kitsune escapes by running over rooftops and jumping into a boat.
Kitsune's employers, Cassandra and Ajax Koath are the other main characters. Fraternal twins, both are evil, spoiled and rich. They head the family's company Genesis, which finances various archeological expeditions. But, how do they finance it? Ah, that is part of the mystery.
The twin's goal is to find the Ark of the Covenant, which is why they hired Kitsune. They believe it is their destiny to find and exploit the power of the Ark. Their maternal grandfather, Jason Koath worked with Tesla. Together they explored Da Vinci's idea of a machine to control the weather. Tesla didn't like where Jason was headed and quit.
The book is about the quest for the Ark, Nick's and Mike's efforts to rescue Kitsune's husband Grant, the power Jason Koath has to control the weather and his grandchildren's unrelenting determination to get that power and the Ark for themselves.
"The Devil's Triangle" is a gripping read. You won't want to put it down. Would make a great movie. Five stars.
