I thought this book a perfect children’s story for the spooky season. Although some of the writing felt a bit choppy, I don’t think it took away from the story too much.

I was intrigued by the idea of a haunted painting, so of course, I had to read the story. Felt it could have been a bit better edited, but over all not a bad tale. Nice , not too scary haunting. I like the characters, well developed and realistic. And who could resist the setting? A castle? In Scotland??? Heck , Yeah! 5th grade up will love this tale!
