This was a quick entertaining read. I’m not sure how accurate and truthful it is to Sir Walter Raleigh’s life, but it is a good introduction to the historical figure. Possibly a man ahead of his time. The book charts his life as a youngster all the way to his execution. Buchan paints Raleigh in a favorable light and I feel there is a lot of hero worship gong on. Good read all the same.
