I love suspense books and this one has it by the bucket load. Really gripping. A great thriller. One roller coaster of a journey. Hang on if you dare! 4* One to recommend. My thanks to the publisher & NetGalley for the advance reader copy in exchange for my honest review.
When Julie was kidnapped in the middle of the night as a child, nothing was ever the same for Jane, the younger sister who saw it happen, and the rest of the family. Eight-years later, Julie returns with stories about being kidnapped by drug-cartels and her fight to make it back to her family. But what actually happened during those eight years? Questions start to arise as to whether the woman claiming to be Julie really is their daughter and if she is telling the truth.
This story was average, it was an enjoyable read but nothing really set it apart from other psychological thrillers that I have enjoyed. It wasn't a bad read, by any means, but there are definitely better choices out there to get your heart racing.
This book starts out great and is really interesting but at some point I hit a wall and found it very hard to keep going. Just after the halfway point I found it dragged on and I found it very hard to finish.
