I received an ARC of this book in return for an honest review.
*The Boy in the Park* by A.J. Grayson failed to meet my expectations. While it started with some intrigue, the pace quickly stalled, leaving me struggling to remain engaged. The narrative felt like a confusing mess, with moments where I thought things might pick up, but they were few and far between. Each chapter seemed to go nowhere, with little plot development or character progression. I found it difficult to push through, as the story never truly took off. Ultimately, I was unable to finish the book, as it lacked the depth and direction I was hoping for.

This was a brilliant read. As soon as I started reading this book I just knew I was going to love it. Highly recommended

Omg wow this book is amazing it's full of twists and turns it will keep you up all night I really enjoyed this book

The Boy in The Park - A.J. Grayson
A.J. Grayson took us on a steady incline to the sting in the tail. I usually prefer the faster paced psychological thrillers but I have to be honest and admit that although this was a slower burn it was a page turner and I enjoyed it. I prefer short snappy chapters, they help to stop me from getting bored with a book.
This might not be for everyone but if you are looking for something a little bit different give this a whirl
Read for an honest review. Thank you Netgalley and Harpercollins

This was really a gripping read, I just had to see what is the poor boy's story. I couldn't wait to finish it, worth your time and effort I promise.

Cleverly written and very sad tale..I love books that have a total twist...this one did not disappoint....A slow burner at the start This was a really good read with good characters. I liked the ending.

Gripping and unexpected. I enjoyed the book and it certainly had me intrigued throughout.

Quite good debut novel. Covers some mental health and domestic abuse.
Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC in return for an honest review

The Boy In The Park gathered my interest with a tag line like "It will haunt you for weeks" I am constantly seeking that thriller that is going to blow all the others out the water.
Every day Dylan goes to the park on his lunch to write poetry, some days it flows, other days it doesn't. Each day he visits though, he starts to notice a little boy, at the boating lake - the same time, every day. Things are not as they seem though, as bruises begin to appear on the boy - Dylan knows it's time to take action. First - he needs to locate the boy.
This was a thriller that was not as it seemed, it was dark and intense, it was heavy and just left my brain baffled. It covered topics that were more indepth than the usual unrelaible narrator - this was next level. It is hard to review this without giving things away - so i wont.
I did sort of figure out what was happening, which i was shocked by - because i don't usually work things out but it wasn't as simple as i first thought, it goes further and darker than i anticpated. This was a tale that i would reccomend reading on a dark night, because it's just got that eiree vibe about it.

The boy in the park by A J Grayson.
The Psychological Thriller that everyone is going to be talking about - once you’ve read it, it will haunt you for weeks!
Dylan goes to the same park every day. He starts to notice a young boy who comes down to the small boating lake and soon realises that all is not right with the child; he seems troubled and unhappy and when bruises start to appear on the boy’s arms, Dylan realises that he has to take action. As Dylan’s obsession with the boy takes hold, he embarks on dark, intense and powerful journey, where nothing is what it seems…
This was a really good read with good characters. I liked the ending. This is a intense read. 5*. Netgalley and harper Collins UK harper impulse.

The Boy in the Park was a gripping psychological thriller that although was a bit slow to start keep with it as it soon hooks you in. I read this book in one sitting I did not want to put it down. Loved the twist, kept me on my toes.

A slow start that took a while to get into, but a thought provoking book.

I had been so looking forward to reading this book. The description sounded fantastic and sadly for me it didnt live up to the expectations. It was dull and uninteresting. Such a disapointment

Thank you Netgalley and the Publisher. I really enjoyed this thriller and loved the characters in it. Read this in one sitting

This book is going to be very hard to review without having any spoilers. I received an ARC copy of this book from Netgalley for my honest review.
I love books that have a total twist...this one did not disappoint. Nothing in the description of this book gave away what was really going on in the book. Even though I did discover about halfway through what was going on, I still wanted to keep reading.

Great read! Looking forward to reading more by this author! Highly recommend!

I had heard so much about this book that I was actually rather disappointed when I read it. It's hard to review without giving anything away I think for me there was not enough going on and I got s bit bored

Brilliant psychological thriller with twists and turns you won't see coming. Fantastic author who really knows how to draw you into the tale. Couldn't put it down.

This book is a really good read and had a twist that I did not see coming. The book goes backwards and forwards in time which does make it slightly confusing in places but this also adds to the shock of the twist. Well put together and well researched and definitely worth reading.

Excellent book. Great main characters and plot. I would recommend this book.
