The Italian neurosurgeon, Peter Medeci, has a score to settle with his estranged wife: her reckless bid for independence has nearly destroyed his medical career.
Ellie, desperate to reassert herself as more than his bedroom playmate, flees the ‘fairytale’ for a gig in a Hollywood club until Peter comes looking for her. For her freedom, Ellie must spend the next three weeks being the ‘good doctor’s wife’ in public…and his mistress in private!
The story is typical romance there is everything that one good romance book could have two persons in love but they hate each other, one big secret which leads the tale ahead, hot- cold situation and many things which I love.
Ellie is an interesting character and I like her way of thinking and the need for more attention and care. She is a woman who doesn’t have only beauty but also has other qualification to be a good female.
I don’t like that Peter is over obsessed with his job, I think that everything that is more or less isn’t good, but the best is Aurea mediocritas ( The Golden Mean).
They are a good couple and it seems they are meant to be together.

If the weather outside is dull, dark and dismal and you are in desperate need of a pick me up, then look no further than Sun Chara and her uplifting and feel-good contemporary romances. Full of glamour, emotion, humour and escapism, they are absolutely fantastic and Italian Millionaire, Runaway Principessa is certainly no exception!
Peter Medeci is a neurosurgeon with a reputation that precedes him. A man who has sacrificed everything for the sake of his career, Peter’s life revolves completely around his job. Having got his eye on a lucrative and significant career opportunity that could continue to cement his standing in the medical community, Peter must make absolutely sure that his name is not attached to any scandal whatsoever, which is why he has a score to settle with his estranged wife who had turned her back on their marriage and walked out on their relationship without a backward glance.
Being a surgeon’s wife might be something a lot of women have aspired to over the years, but for Ellie being Peter’s wife had been a gilded cage that had almost driven her crazy. Sick and tired of being a trophy wife and his playmate in the bedroom, Ellie had felt that she had no other choice but to sever all ties with Peter and had abandoned the fairy-tale lifestyle for a gig in a Hollywood club. Ellie thinks that her marriage is part of her past and that she will never clap eyes on Peter ever again. Fate, however, seems to have other ideas in store for her as Peter has come looking for her – and this time he is determined to get some answers!
Peter will grant Ellie her freedom, but on one condition: she must spend three weeks acting the part of the good doctor’s wife. Ellie accepts, however, Peter hadn’t mentioned anything about being his mistress in private! Will it be second time lucky for Peter and Ellie? Or has their marriage reached a natural end?
I read this book in a day. Satisfying, heartwarming and deliciously readable, Italian Millionaire, Runaway Principessa is a fantastic romance that is an absolute delight. Peter and Ellie’s love story is tempestuous, dramatic, steamy, sassy and absolutely superb. 4☆ A Sweet Contemporary Romance
Italian Millionaire, Runaway Principessa is a sweet yet steamy contemporary romance. It's about relationships, fall out, communication and starting over.
I always enjoy Sun's books. This one was a short read that packed alot of story in.
Peter and Ellie are married but they have been separated for a few months.
They are at different stages in their lives.
Most couples support each other through change and life.
But Peter is a successful neurosurgeon and has a stressful relationship with his job.
Ellie just wants to be loved, listened too, respected.... Ellie feels that Peter treats her more like a trophy mistress than his wife.
Peter showers her with a lavish lifestyle he feels she wants. But what she really wants is her husband.
So when Peter has an important hospital engagement he persuades her to come back to him for three weeks and stand by his side as his wife.
But can those three weeks rekindle their love or Will it end in divorce?
I actually liked Peter and Ellie's characters.
I can completely relate to how Ellie was feeling, however if only she communicated with Peter more then their relationship would of been different. She wanted change but without actually discussing it with him.
So both of them are to blame.
There was a fair amount of steamy scenes and sexual fantasies which I love in my romances. It keeps things exciting.
Italian Millionaire, Runaway Principessa is a fast paced, short read, with plenty of drama, a good helping of Humour, Passion and Romance!
My only wish was that it was a little longer.
I think there was more to be explored with the storyline and I would of loved to see more from Peter and Ellie.
I would definitely recommend reading this book if you enjoy novellas that are fun, fast and contemporary romances.
Thank you to Rachel Random Resources for this copy which I reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

A well-known Italian neurosurgeon may be having the best life, but his runaway wife is feeling otherwise. Peter Medeci works way too hard for himself and his wife, aside from attending to his patients, he also has political dreams and still aims for power amidst the wealth he has amassed. Ellie Medeci feels suffocated even though her husband gives her all the material things she needs and wants. Except his full-time attention and time. She wants to be free to do what she desires, but also wants to be needed by her doctor husband, and be treated as a wife and not like a mistress at night.
A three-weeks under the same roof agreement is being settled by the estranged couple before they finally agree to divorce. Lots of riveting sexual fantasies filled their dreams and cravings within those three weeks.. But it all seems like they're just going back to the beginning, running in circles and their feelings start to compromise.
This has been a quick read. At the beginning, I have established the thought that Ellie was a clingy and needy wife even if she had declared her intention to be independent from her husband. Sure, she had runaway from him, but had also returned to his mansion in more ways than one. And Peter Medici, after all the achievements he had accumulated through the years, still yearned for more.. He was power-hungry, thus making Ellie feel bad about herself.
As the story progressed, I could see that both characters were trying hard to change their minds and ways. I liked that Ellie was trying her best to stand up on her own and she knew how to push Peter's buttons. It is, however, their lack of communication that always led them to misunderstanding and squabbles. In the end, it's all about learning to accept each other's faults, demands and principles that put the couple's relationship to something they really desired.

This quick 180 pages novel was just what I needed one tiring late afternoon. It was fast paced, with plenty of sexy moments and a lot of funny ‘I can’t believe it’ moments because of the miscommunication between the characters. But in the end all the things tied up nicely and it had that HEA I love so much when I’m trying to escape real life.
Peter and Ellie were two characters that I liked because they weren’t bad people, they just had some communication difficulties, and that was understanding, but it also made me laugh. Especially with all the fantasies and sexual moments between them during the three weeks they are back together.
This book had that second chance kind of vibe, although they were already married, their relationship wasn’t the best, still, I found myself wishing for them to talk and say what they really felt and wanted. Peter really wanted to win Ellie back and she just wanted him to see her point of view instead of taking her back and living the married life as if she was his mistress instead of his wife. So I understood her, but if she would just talk to him and say that she wasn’t happy to say home and be his trophy wife… It would go so much easier.
Nevertheless, it was that miscommunication that made the book as good as it was, because it was real and honest. Because it gave the storyline some drama and funny moments. Because it made it possible for the characters to develop during the all plot of the book.
And even though I would have loved some more pages, I still enjoyed the book a lot. I recommend her book to everyone that to escape the real world for a couple of hours with a sexy and romantic book.

You can talk a lot, without having said anything ...
This is a story about two people madly in love and connecting only through their bodies but not through their minds. He is too busy providing for her in order to escape the life he had before. She is too busy being pampered and bored to make clear what she really wants from him. He thinks he does everyghing right, she thinks he does everything wrong.
So she does what she thinks is best and runs ...
Argh, this story got me so frustrated. I wanted to bang their heads together and yell 'Talk to each other, you fools! Don't throw away what you have, but cherish it!' There was this constant sizzling attraction, but at the same time that stupid rejection.
And suddenly it seemed that that one accident made them see sense ...
It was a novel that was easy to read, with a lot of sex (really happening or only in their heads) with more depth than you would think at first sight. I have to say that I would liked to have a bit more background information in between the hot scenes. It would make the book, in my opinion, even more entertaining. 3 stars.

I am not a huge fan of second chance love stories, only because of so much drama.
But this one was a little different in that they where still together just not truly with each other.
However I felt like the book skipped around a lot and I felt lost at points.
But I liked the story line and the characters.

So Peter and Ellie....
How should I start it...
The book didn't have one of those "awe" moments, that really surprises you, and I have to say, I'm a fan of those. I didn't like the characters much. I mean they were good, but author concentrated on dragging and dragging and dragging the problem, the talk, the confrontation for so much, that it was really annoying.
Peter heard but didn't listen, Ellie thought but didn't really understand...
I don't know, what to really say, except that it was a drag, it took me a week to finish it, so it says something.

This is a second chance romance but a bit different.
Peter Medeci, is a highly skilled neurosurgeon, his wife Ellie left him and he finally catches up with her.
It's a story about there being more to a relationship than providing materially. Peter is very committed to work and Ellis feels she always takes second place to his career. There is a complete lack of communication and at times when they do talk he is very unkind and almost cruel, I wasn't that keen on him.
It's an okay story, not one I would re-read.

This novel was a good and quick read, but the description for the story was for Greek Millionaire, Unruly wife.
Peter Medeci is an Italian neurosurgeon, who is the best in his field and travels all over the world for different cases that need his expertise. His wife, Ellie, left him and after three months he finds her working at a club and is not happy. He gives her everything and works hard so she can have a comfortable lifestyle, yet she does not want to go back with him.
Ellie left Peter because she feels more like a mistress than a wife. Her husband is rarely home and when they do make love, he falls asleep right after at times due to exhaustion. She had to give up her dreams to help support her family. She wants to have those dreams again. She tried to explain how she feels to Peter, but they are interrupted many times.
When Peter finds her again, she agrees to stay with him for three weeks. After that, he will give her a divorce. Both do not want to divorce each other. Peter wants Ellie and she wants him, but they both need to work out their feelings before the three weeks end if they want to save their marriage. During the three weeks, they learn and discover things about each other, rekindling some of what they lost. However, Peter still puts his obligations as a doctor first and Ellie is not sure if she can continue this life. Will Peter realize why Ellie left him and try to fix it? Will Ellie understand Peter's responsibilities as a doctor? Can they come to a compromise?

This is a very different second chance romance. The couple are already married but have split up, reconciled then split up again . . . . He's Peter Medeci, a highly skilled neurosurgeon who strives to be even more successful. However, in doing so he's actually in serious danger of losing the woman he loves, his wife Ellie. Talk about not understanding each other and not communicating! The only place the two seem to connect is the bedroom and Ellie is feeling more like a kept woman, like she's his mistress rather than his wife - that's one of the reasons she keeps leaving him. He doesn't understand as he's working so hard to achieve everything for them both and tries to ensure she has all the material things she could possible want . . . . but that isn't what she wants. She wants to be able to aspire to achieve her own goals and to be more than his bed mate.
This is a story where the attraction is there but communication is lacking, putting obstacles in the path of romance that, at times, seem unsurmountable. He is wanting to gain a place on the hospital board and demands she play the dutiful wife for just three weeks then he'll let her go. However, he intends to win her back during that time whilst she hopes she'll manage to get him to see things from her point of view (even if she doesn't tell him what that is). There's plenty of action both in their relationship and in their imaginations. They both come over as well meaning and pleasant people just with serious communication difficulties. The ending ties things up nicely making it a sweet story to escape into for a couple of hours.
I was given a copy of this story without obligation. This is my honest review after choosing to read it.

This was like a Harlequin Presents on a double dose of caffeine.
Peter and Ellie have been married for five years but they have been apart the last three months after a brief Christmas reunion after the first time she left him. Seems like it might be third times the charm.
Peter Medeci grew up tough but has almost made it to the top of his profession as a neurosurgeon in L.A. He met singer, Ellie, when he was still on his way up, but had enough influence to help out her family and keep her in the style he thinks she wants to be accustomed to as a stay at home doctor's wife.
Only Ellie wants to be a singer and is tired of putting off her dreams while Peter is so busy she only sees him in bed. Where, incidentally, they still burn up the sheets.
In a classic trope move, Peter has demanded Ellie return to him for three weeks during a crucial election for the hospital board. If he gets the job he can make things better for the patients. He is, after all, a very dedicated doctor.
Both have plans for the three weeks. Peter wants to win Ellie back and Ellie wants to get Peter to see her point of view. Which was kind of ironic because she never tells him what she wants.
Peter and Ellie are nice people and that comes across well. But once we get inside their heads, it's exhausting. Like watching tennis with seventeen players on the court at once. My head was spinning. There is also a lot of the smexy happening. If it wasn't happening on the page it was happening in their heads.
Over all it was a sweet story with lots of smexy times and the ending was satisfactory, if a little too conveniently tied up.

Three point five stars.
Italian Millionnaire: Runaway Princepessa is a romance set in west coast America. At only 180 pages, I read this easily in one afternoon.
Peter Medici is a dark and brooding Italian millionaire. He is also a neuro-surgeon with high hopes for a prominent seat at the next medical board elections. Whilst voting takes place, he can’t afford a scandal created by his personal life, which his wife of five years, Ellie, is currently set to create.
Ellie is fed up with being Peter’s trophy wife and sex object, neglected whilst Peter works long hours. She feels there is little substance to their marriage and she has lost her own identity. Peter finds her working as a waitress in a bar after running away from their luxury lifestyle. He strikes a deal; play the good wife for three more weeks, then he’ll give her a divorce. But what is it they both truly want? For Ellie, will three weeks be enough to change Peter into the loving husband and family man she yearns for? Can Peter prove to Ellie that she is the only one for him? How far is he willing to go?
The story is fast paced, with plenty of sexual fantasies and tantalising encounters for the couple between brief sections of plot substance. I really liked the idea of the story, but thought it deserved fleshing out allowing the reader to get to know the characters better, perhaps by weaving in lots more emotion and creating more tension for each of them; I felt the story itself needed to be longer than just a novella. It's a good read for a couple of hours of sexy, romantic escapism.
