I enjoyed the Cherub series of books immensely and devoured them all. I'm afraid to say I haven't enjoyed these books. There isn't as much incident and the characters aren't as appealing.

My experience of Muchamore has been limited...but his Cherub series drew my son into a world he found fascinating. This new series has been just as successful...he devoured it (and anything that has him willingly avoiding his DS for a while has to be a good thing).

Despite feeling a bit slow in places, the next installment of Rock War was worth the wait. I didn't expect the twists and it was great to find out more about some of the more minor characters. There was brilliant story and character development. Highly recommended!
