An interesting poignant read.
Writing is good but the pace is far too slow. I really wanted the author to rev the pace more, a lot more.
It took ages to get there.

I didn’t know who to trust in this book, non of the characters were very warming and I though that some things were unrealistic and taken to extreme.

Once I acknowledged that however and told myself these are my reactions I did enjoy the story more.

I’d try another of this authors books and see what else she comes up with though.

A long lost review of a misplaced book in my Kindle. I am not good with technology. This was a bit disturbing of a story. It sort of struck me as a cautionary tale for grownups, particularly teachers, getting involved with children;s private lives. One never knows and some things aren't always as they appear. Very suspenseful story. Great plot twist.

Claire, a teacher, realizes there's more to Lorna that everyone else believes. She helps the girl but then the mysterious Marina shows up and everything changes. A good read.

Frances Vicks is one of those writers who always manages to catch me out.
I love her writing style and the way she weaves a story - gets right under your skin.

Bad Little Girl is a slow burner of a psychological thriller with unreliable narrators and a dark storyline.

This was a good story but I found it quite slow to start with . It wasn’t until halfway through it started to pick up for me and I really enjoyed it. I did predict the outcome quite early on in the book so unfortunately wasn’t a shocking twist for me. 3.5 stars .

One of those books you start and then nothing in the house gets done, because you cannot put it down. Thrilling and chilling, and written so excellent you're hooked from page one!

Frances Vik took me right back to my school days with this story, Where we first meet Claire and Lorna. There is always that one really nice teacher isn't there? In this story it is Claire Penny teacher of Lorna Bell. Claire notices that Lorna needs new school shoes and her hair is matted. Then things get worse when she notices Lorna's bruises and to tries to uncover the story behind them. while their friendship grows Claire protects Lorna by keeping her out of arms way until Marianne enters their lives and things take another turn.

I was totally captivated by this story that I ended up burning my tea LOL I cannot begin to tell you what an engrossing read this is. From the start I had no idea where the story was going I couldn't put it down. and found myself finishing it in no time at all.

The author certainly knows how to keep you on tender hooks that's for sure. This is full of twists and turns and I will admit that I worked a out but never the less I just had to keep reading to see if I had guessed correctly. But OMG the second part of the story took a turn that I didn't see coming at all, which totally turned things round what a roller coaster ride I was taken on.

I loved Claire even though she could be a little to nice at times. And Lorna well to start with I felt really sorry for her but has the story unfolds her spoiled brat side started to shine through and she did really start to get on my nerves.

What more can I say but this book will certainly keep you on the edge of your seat. This is a must read for Psychological thriller fans, which I highly recommend giving it 5 massive stars.

This one is certainly an interesting yet different read. A few times I couldn't decide how I felt about this book.
I was enjoying it, but it felt like something was missing, like the story just plodded along, yet it had drawn me in and I knew I had to keep reading to see how the book turned out. Pretty good as it happens. After a bit of a slow start it begins to get interesting and you find yourself second guessing what is about to happen.

Teacher Claire Penny develops a soft spot for troubled child, Lorna Bell. Little does she know that this child is going to change her life.
The child asks Claire for help, Claire seems to go above her teacher roll to help this child.
The story seems to unfold little by little, and at times seems a little creepy.
It really does drag you in and it's worth giving it a read.

This book was very disturbing to me. I could not decided whether Lorna was evil, or just misunderstood. A very well written book and worth your effort.

This book was so not what I was expecting it to be! I heard a lot of bad reviews on it at Goodreads and what made me read this book was Diana’s review at A Haven for Book Lovers. And I’m so happy I read it!

The book is very slow paced, especially at the beginning and I wasn’t really sure about it because of that, but I am not a person that easily DNF’s books so I had to continue and see if something would change if I could get immersed in the book. And for sure that started happening! Slowly, it started gripping my attention and I needed to know more.

This book is very different from what I was expecting but in a really good way. I can’t really say much about the book without spoiling it, but the book is about Claire, who is a teacher. She starts taking special notice of a young girl named Lorna, that seems not to fit in. She wants to help her, so she starts to befriend her, and trying to unravel what is happening in the girl’s life. Soon she discovers that the problems are not at school but at home and she has the need to save Lorna. And that’s where everything starts to unfold.

It seems quite a normal book, right? Well, wrong! It’s so much more than that! It’s incredible unexpected, scary and just heartbreaking. I had a pretty good idea of what was happening in the book, but I still couldn’t believe it and I could get enough!

The characters were really great and we have a hell of a development. Clary was every bit lovely and I really enjoyed her. She was kind and sweet to everyone and she is a person that for sure would matter for a tiny kid’s life. She wants to help, but she doesn’t stay just with the idea of doing it, like most. She actually acts and I like to believe that I would have done the same thing as her. And Lorna was no exception, I really liked her from the beginning. She seemed sweet and sad and a little girl that would do anything for others. I loved how the characters were presented and developed and it’s that development that made me terribly angry and scared! I still can’t believe how this book ended…

The book is for sure slow paced, but it’s every bit worth a read! I would definitely recommend it if you are into psychological thrillers. The books are addictive and the end will blow your mind.

This novel started out slowly but did get better halfway through and it's not quite what I was expecting. I was able to predict the outcome and I didn't like any of the characters but something still kept me reading this to find out what happened.

I don't know why but when reading the blurb for this book I got somewhat of a "Matilda" vibe so I was interested in reading it for that alone!

Usually, if I'm disappointed in a book it's because it's so hyped up and the ending is just ....lackluster. But it was actually the opposite for me here. The story itself was somewhat slow, a good slow burn, while the last half of the book was better than the rest.

It did take a while for it to get "there" for me but it was a good read. I thought it would have been darker than it was and that was why I wanted to read it in the first place. Especially with the blurb relating it to Gone Girl and The Girl on the Train fans, not really in the same category to me.

My rating 3/5 stars

This book was quite difficult to review for one reason. The story was quite unbelievable. Claire Penny is a teacher who wants to save the world from a very young age, teaching is ideal as there are lots of people who need her. Especially Lorna a 6 year old girl who is in her school, when she turns up with bruises and her mother hits her in the playground Claire vows to help her. Half way through the book Claire disappears with Lorna and nobody knows! She then somehow meets Marianne who becomes part of their "family" - What follows is random and so unbelievable and yet I knew where the story was going to end. The things a 6-10 year old is supposed to have done is just too far-fetched. Having said that I enjoyed it enough to finish the book, whereas usually, I would just give up.

Bad Little Girl was a great psychological thriller that had couldn't put down. I loved it. Great story about manipulation and even though I guessed some of the parts it did not spoil my reading and in fact kept me hooked I just needed to read to see what would happen. Loved the twist at the end it had me wanting to know what happens next for the characters. Great book well worth 5 stars.

I felt this book was in 3 parts. The first third I felt dragged a bit, the second third became good then the last third had you holding your breath. Although I do have to add I had worked out the perpetrator quite early on I still enjoyed it.
