Having not read the first book in the series this was at times confusing.
Saying that the characters did grow on me and the plot was interesting.
I would certainly read the next one.

This is a well written story of murder and corruption in the Australian city of Richmond. The story line is unlikely ever to have happened but that does not lessen the intrigue and excitement for the reader. At times the story deviates unnecessarily and could be edited out. All in all, though, a good read.
