Lovely chick lit romance that I loved. Nell has never been to Paris and when her boyfriend doesn’t turn up for their mini holiday she goes on her own!
Really sweet story. Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for this arc in exchange for my honest review.
I love Jojo Moyes and this book was no exception. Her writing is of high quality and accessible for all. I highly recommend this book to others and have since read many of her books.
Any easy and enjoyable read. Liked the fact it was short stories and you could take a break between them.
I enjoyed these as light little escapisms, the theme was good throughout and they were easy to dip into. Nothing memorable or spectacular but then they are short stories so that's usually to be expected.
I couldn't wait to dive into this but unfortunately it wasn't for me. There was nothing really wrong with it but it just didn't pull me in as a reader .
Sadly this collection wasn't for me, I found all the characters in these stories unlikeable and I couldn't root for any of them.
I have ready other JoJo Moyes books before and throughly loved them. Her writing style is great which is the same for this book. I do prefer a long book rather than lots of short stories but thats just my preference. Some of the stories were good but a few were just too short to get in to. Just as you were getting to know the characters the ending occurred. Wont read this a second time but will definitely read more from this author.
I haven't read a Jojo Moyes story in a while and I must admit that my reading tastes have changed. However, picking up her work is like putting on a dressing gown that has been warming on a radiator after a cold day out. So very comforting.
What is great is that this collection of short stories reminded me of all the things that I love about her writing. The relatable characters, the lifelike settings and the sense of escapism. It was a book that I needed in between reading a few heavy texts.
What is lovely to know - and so very evident in the characters on display in Paris for One and Other Stories - is that when you pick up a Jojo Moyes book it feels like going home.
Paris for One and Other Stories by Jojo Moyes is available now.

Lovely stories and just what I needed to bring some light relief. As always this talented author shares her understanding of what makes people act in the way they do.
Each story is perfectly formed and a delight to read.
DNF. I couldn't connect with this book at all and found it really hard to get into. I had high hopes for this, which is a shame.
I love short stories, especially at the moment when my attention span is limited and reading seems difficult, so this collection was the perfect anecdote to a reading slump. A perfect, witty read, I loved the characters, especially those that appear in other books by JoJo Moyes (I always feel like I'm in on a secret when there's a cross over of characters!!). Delightful, brilliant escapism, full of hope - which we all need at a time like this.
Sorry for late review - just catching up after a busy 12 months. Loved this book a lot - this author always delivers great books - never disappointed - a great story with great characters and really well written. Will definitely read more by this author and thank you for the read. Much appreciated.
Very late with this review! I'm not usually a fan of short stories, but I've enjoyed the authors other books. This collection left me pleasantly surprised. Easy to read, they were perfect to dip in and out of on holiday. Light, entertaining and full of heart.
An enjoyable selection of short stories here, looking forward to the next novel.
Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for a copy of this book.
A lovely, warm addition to Jojo's collection. Each story left me feeling warm and fuzzy. I love that the stories are short because it means you can sit down and read them in one sitting.
I absolutely love Jojo Moyes she has a style of writing that manages to break my heart everytime, this collection of short stories managed to break my heart a little more, whilst containing the feel good elements that she presents in her books each time.
A brilliant selection of short stories that has you wanting to just keep reading.
I really enjoy Jojo Moyes writing so was excited to see this collection of short stories/novella.
This collection was pretty much as expected, filled with romance stories but are deeper than that with plenty of humour and drama thrown in too.
My personal favourite is Love in the Afternoon, it was adorable. Obviously some of the stories are better than others but they are all pretty good and I think any fan of Jojo Moyes would enjoy receiving this.
I've never read a Jojo Moyes book before, so I thought short stories might be a good way to start, but unfortunately I didn't really connect with any of the stories. I suspect this is more me than Moyes, since I know short stories often aren't enough for me, but I also think that romance stories aren't a good fit for me in general. Although I will say that romance in these stories is very much a subjective thing. The ones I liked most were the two longer stories - the title one, and Honeymoon in Paris (which is apparently a prequel of sorts to one of Moyes' novels). I don't think there's really a lot else I can say about about this book though. It was an enjoyable enough read for 90 minutes, but I'm probably not going to search out the author's other books.
Paris for One and Other Stories is a collection of short stories written by Jojo Moyes. It features entertaining and interesting stories. As usual there are stories i loved moe then others but that's expected.
