C'est magnifique! (As Sophie would say). Brilliant!:
This story has everything. I am certain this will be the best adventure story I'll read this year. My enthusiasm for this book is immeasurable.
Passengers on a trip to paradise make one mistake - they board a plane piloted by a drunk who takes shortcuts. Net result is that when the plane is downed over the Pacific Ocean no-one knows the location of the plane and the pilot and passengers are presumed dead. But two passengers survive: one a newlywed who loses her husband and the other an American Banker who antagonises Sophie with every word he utters. Sparks are set to fly as the two come to terms with surviving together. There is no likelihood of rescue - the last landing on the Island was about 50 years ago. This novel has everything: adventure, mystery, love, loss and survival but to mention a few themes. I loved it and most of the reading public will to. A must read.
