One Little Mistake by Emma Curtis is a general fiction (adult) read.
Vicky Seagrave is blessed: three beautiful children, a successful, doting husband, great friends and a job she loves. She should be perfectly happy.
When she risks everything she holds dear on a whim, there's only person she trusts enough to turn to.
But Vicky is about to learn that one mistake is all it takes; that if you're careless with those you love, you don't deserve to keep them . . .
this was a absolutely fantastic read with brilliant characters. Very moving and emotional read. Highly recommended. 5*. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book from netgalley.

This is a gripping psychological debut about Vicky and Amber who are best friends through meeting at ante natal classes. But when Vicky makes one mistake, Amber sets out for reasons of her own to make Vicky pay for it, and take away everything Vicky has including her husband.
The story flashes from 2010 to 1992 but is easy to follow. Amber naturally comes across as a nasty piece of work but then she didn't have the best of childhood's!
There are quite a few books in this best friend genre whereby one is jealous of the other and tries to destroy and take what they have but the Maggie/Katya story gives this a good twist.
Will definitely look for the author's next one.

Vicky Seagrave has it all. The perfect family, 3 lovely children & a wonderful husband. She has a great friend, Amber who she met at anti-natal classes. In a moment, just one small mistake and her life is turned upside down.
Set in London between then and now (1992 & 2010). 2 different stories that appear unconnected but are eventually woven together at the end of the book.
Well written. One of those books that keep you up late into the night furiously turning the pages!
4* from me. One to recommend. My thanks to the publisher & NetGalley for the advance reader copy in exchange for my honest review.

A page turning thriller. I read this book in one afternoon as I wanted to know what happened. It is a story about how far one person will go to get revenge. Well written and going between present day and the past really adds to the suspense.

I really enjoyed this book. I liked the characters and the back story for amber/Katya. It was one of those where I wanted to get to the end to find out what had happened but didn't want it to finish as I was enjoying it!

I was given an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest and independent review.
Vicky appears to have it all - three children, a loving husband and friends, a good life with one mistake she jeopardises it all. The only person she turns to is her best friend Amber.
The book has two stories, seemingly unconnected - one set in 2010 and the other in 1992, and the chapters alternate between the time periods.
I thought the story was told well, although at times it was a bit confusing as to what was going on as there seemed to be a few inconsistencies to the story. Despite that the pace was good and the characters interesting enough to keep me reading and wanting to know how this ended. In conclusion, I did like this book but it was slightly implausible in places so overall only 3.5 Stars
