I found the story to feel very bleak, and slightly sad, though realistic, with a pace that was very plodding. Also the religious undertones weren't to my liking.

Fairlyden, is Fairly Good. I so enjoyed this book. I won't say it is predictable, but some sciences and I call them that because this book is so visual. The pages just come to life. I have never been to Scotland before I read this book. Gwen Kirkwood can be proud of this one. I did feel the end was a little rushed. I mean we knew who would end up together so go ahead already. Loved the character interaction and the fact that some parts were raw and emotional.
