I have yet to read a book by Pamela that I did not love and A Blessing in Disguise was no exception, I read this in one sitting I could not put it down. Loved the twists which I did not see coming. A great book to read while relaxing on the beach this summer.
This was the second book by Pamela Fudge that I had read and what a wonderful story! I was hooked from the very first page. At times I thought I knew the ending but how wrong I was - several times.
A good page turner and so looking forward to Pamela Fudge's next book. Can't recommend it highly enough.
This is my first book I've read by Pamela fudge but it won't be my last as I found this an intriguing read. The story is based around Alex a career woman who has been married to Phil for 25 years and in that time finds herself unable to get pregnant until now. This is where the story starts and there are quite a few twists and turns along the way to keep this an interesting read. I found Alex on the whole to be a likeable and real character.
I'm not going to go into the story too much so as not to spoil it but I hadn't sussed out the ending, there were many possible endings but not the one that happened in fact I had to skip back a few pages thinking I'd either missed some or read it wrong! ....but no I hadn't so it was a good twist.
I would like to thank netgalley and endeavour press for this ARC I received in exchange for an honest review.
An unexpected unplanned pregnancy late in life upsets a whole family, then re-unites them in a way that could never have been expected. Some very sad parts but a heart warming story showing how important it is to have family around you. Lovely story
Thanks Netgalley. I quite liked this book but was not to sure of some of the characters but I finished it and was glad I did but left me a little bit wanting.
After 25 years of marriage Alex finds she is pregnant. Just when you thought you had it all figured out, life throws a curveball at you. Phil, her husband, is adamant that he does not want the baby. Alex has to decide what course her life will take and how her in laws and her husband fit into the mix. There is a curveball partially through, one I was happy to see. I liked this book. I didn't like the main characters much, finding the side characters were actually much more well developed. Thank you to Endeavor Press and Net Galley for this e-ARC in exchange for my honest review.
