Melissa has always been waiting for love, so when she happens across some pictures of beautiful places on a iPad it seems like fate has come into her life to show her life can be thrilling. Contacting the owner proved life is about to get better, falling in love is magical but falling in love with words when you are worlds apart can make you question everything.

I wasn't able to finish this book, I didn't enjoy it. It was your cliché story: good girl meets bad boy online. Will their relationship ever be real?

I read past half, but just couldn't go on. Not even after what was supposed to be a twist. but was pretty expected, occurred. I just couldn't find anything redeeming about this book, it's just not what I'm used to. After the initial character introduction, I found the book consisted of sex scene, after srx scene. In short, very little substance. But when there was dialogue, it was unnaturally long, and sometimes purely unnecessary.

Melissa is the good girl, she recently received an ipad with the most stunning of photographs. When she tracks down the Ipad's previous owner, she finds Leo. They talk on Facebook. It gets to the point that it's ten messages daily. They make each other better.

I was hoping the messages were at least funny, if not witty, but alas... No redeeming points. This book was clearly not for me.

I received this book through NetGalley.

The premise of this was good- a digital love connection. The characters though were not very likeable. I just didn't feel any connection to anyone. The speech and writing were strange and didn't always flow well.

A good storyline and a good romance. An okish read but felt a little formal the whole way through.

I always like to have a cleanser between thrillers, mysteries, and horror. The premise of LOST AND FOUND by Danielle Ryan intrigued me - I do like the more contemporary-romance-almost YA type books. This one is about an unexpected romance blossoming from an iPad and Facebook.

Melissa lives in Milan working as a college researcher and after buying an iPad in an auction, she quickly realizes the previous owner did not delete all of their files. She looks through the photos and loves the landscapes and city views, so she begins searching for the owner - because why not?

Through the magic of Facebook, Melissa finds Riccardo and can't help but contact him. They begin chatting here and there, but then they both become increasingly dependent on their unusual relationship. A relationship they're both completely fine with leaving as a virtual one - no plans to meet in person. But, of course, their digital world is brought into real life, and their true feelings are revealed when they finally meet.

This is definitely something that I know happens all the time. There's always that sense of, is this person really who they say they are? Fake accounts are made all the time. So you never truly know who you're talking to until you take the leap to meet in person. It was definitely a cute romance story and a quick read. I did enjoy the messenger interactions and seeing the relationship blossom.

This is the perfect summer read or beach read. If you want something light and quick, then this is the book for you!

I give this 3.5/5 stars! Only because I wasn't too drawn in at first but once the relationship started to blossom it became much more enjoyable!

A big thanks to Aria for an advanced copy in exchange for my honest review!

The Blurb :
Melissa Riva works in Milan as a university researcher. After buying an iPad at auction, she finds it contains files belonging to its previous owner.
Fascinated by the beautiful photographs of romantic landscapes and views of the city, she starts her search for the previous owner. Locating him through Facebook, Melissa can't resist contacting him.
Melissa and Riccardo begin chatting online. Both of them becoming increasingly dependent on this strange relationship, though acutely aware that it's only likely to remain a virtual one.
But when real life bursts in on their digital world, they can't resist revealing their true feelings...

My Thoughts :
First off, I love the cover on this book. Such a bright purple stands out and the background is perfect. Two people on a pavement at the end of the street with detail to the sky. This was why I wanted to read this.
I found this interesting from the first page, how an ipad is bought second hand and the new owner finds some beautiful pictures on it and goes out of their way to find the owner. This then leads to an online virtual friendship. I think the story is well brought together and I really enjoyed the exchanges of messages between Mel and Riccardo. The attraction seemed to grow between the two as they opened up to each other during their exchanges.
It worked well that each chapter was identified with the teller, so we knew who's part we were reading about.
A great little read with a couple of twists that will leave you looking forward to more from the author Danielle Ryan.

A fantastic book. The concept of this story is genius. It has fantastic characters in it, who are all very realistic. The pace of the book is initially slow but soon picks up.

'Lost and Found' could not get any further into the 21st Century if it tried! I mean really, a lost iPad, auctioned iPad, male character & a female character chatting over Facebook; I'm just waiting for the virtual relationship to form! Oh, wait....it already did.

In this day and age, a lot of time is spent chatting to people on social media, engaging in harmless banter and lusting over a vast number of photographs posted. No, I don't mean THOSE kinds of photos, eeeesh, get your mind out of the gutter! Melissa was taken aback by some rather impressive scenic photographs; making it her mission to find the face behind the photo. Oh she found the face alright, even if the gentleman did seem to be the proud owner of multiple faces...

If I am about to read a book written by an author I haven't heard of before, nine times out of ten I take a peek at the reviews on Goodreads beforehand. I don't read them in-depth, merely skim reading to get a feel for the author; 'Lost and Found' was no different. I'll be honest, after reading the book for myself, the lack of sparkle on the ratings and the rather comme ci, comme Ça reviews I had spotted before I began reading rather surprised me! Don't get me wrong, some of the phrases used in the sex scenes made my toes curl in embarrassment! If you're going to describe something of the sexual nature, using the proper terminology would be advantageous, especially as I didn't realise female genitalia was called 'the sex'. My bugbear!

Now I have that out of the way, I can now say that I rather enjoyed this rather modern and brave version of a love story. I say 'brave' because some cynics reading the novel may think of Melissa and Riccardo's situation as completely unrealistic, whereas the 'happily ever after' type readers may be on Amazon buying their wedding hat before the novel even finished. To put it in another way, I felt that Danielle Ryan was very brave and bold to put such an outlandish, (yet possible relatable), situation in the core of her storyline. It's bound to be the main talking point of the storyline, and if it isn't I want to know why! I'm not the most romantic person on this planet, I fully admit that! So yes, I did think the two characters relationship to be a little bit 'realllyyyyyy?' at times, but that didn't stop me enjoying seeing how the events unfolded, nor did it stop me eagerness to find out the outcome. Does the boy get the girl? Or does the girl tell the boy to go and do one?

I really enjoy reading novels set in Italy which have been written by Italian authors as I consider them to be my guilty pleasure! The way an Italian author can describe their own country in their own storyline, is such a beautiful thing to read. Instead of describing Italy like a travel brochure, Danielle Ryan described Milan in such a vivid and incredible way, it was as though the buildings became familiar and every scent was bottled up ready to be smelt again. You really need to know a country to be able to write it into a storyline so flawlessly, and obviously Danielle Ryan knows her own country!

I'll be honest, 'Lost and Found' didn't give me that firework feel, however, it was a rather enjoyable and humorous tale that kept me entertained the whole way through. The storyline wasn't heavy, the characters didn't require an additional pair of hands to sort out their lives (the reader), and the overall plot didn't need TOO much of my brain power. In all fairness, it was a light-hearted, pleasant, and fun trip to Italy, which took my mind off my own troubles for a little while. Can't really argue with that now, can you?

Thanks Aria.

When Melissa, who lives in Milan, buys and ipad at auction she finds that the previous owner has not deleted all their files and there are some great pictures of the area.

Intrigued by who has taken such lovely pictures she decides to try and track down the original owner and does so with the help of facebook and then an online friendship springs up between them - but if they meet will the reality be as good?

I loved the concept of the book and although I did enjoy reading it I did feel that it was slightly lacking and that more could have been made of it

Rating: 3 Lost Stars!

The cover, is cute.

The story, the idea of this story was what attracted me to request it. I had this expectation of “You’ve Got Mail”, and I think that is why I couldn’t fully appreciate it. First of all, at about 15% I had trouble identifying who was I reading about, was it him? Was it her? The tone of their voices were very similar. It got better as I went along. Second of all, Leo had so many “issues”, I just didn’t believe him, and it actually made my eyes roll every time he got “scared”. Third of all, the twist in the story with Bianca, it was annoying to be honest, maybe is because she made me want to get inside the book and punch her repeatedly, she was such a biotch. No cliffhanger, thankfully.

The romance, meh, it wasn’t until the end that I truly saw their chemistry.

Melissa, the thing I liked best about her was her ability to react in a sweet and very humanly manner about the baby, to include him as he should have been elsewhere.

Leo/Riccardo, uhm, he striked me as a volatile, multiple disorder kind of guy. I am usually in love with the heroes, but not this one, he sounded very immature.

Overall, did I like the book? Kind of. Would I recommend the book? You should try it, maybe it goes better for you.

Lost and Found was really good. Two strangers brought together by an ipad. I really loved finding out what was going to happen between Mel & the owner of the ipad. It takes great trust to contact a stranger online as your never really sure just how honest etc the person is, so there is an element of suspense in this book on whether its going to go happily or tragic. This book is something different and very enjoyable.
