This is a Gritty read for all us crime thriller fans. Especially if like me you enjoy books when they are set in and around Manchester. I always get a stronger sense of enjoyment when my mind actually pictures the area or places mentioned in a book.
I found this book quite well written and interesting.

This was book 2 in the badge and pen series.
I really enjoyed this book. Great story. Although I wasnt sure if I liked Vinnie. I liked Christine. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author. 4*.

A dark, gritty read which crime fans will enjoy. Plenty twists to keep you interested and a complicated plot to hold you until the last page. A hit man trying to kill the Deputy Chief Constable of Manchester Police, contracts out to another killer, who just happens to be an undercover cop. Well written with good characterisation. Thank you Net Galley for my copy. A very enjoyable read. I reviewed on Amazon.
