This book is a re-issue and as such is a little dated. That does not take away from the excellent Cold War set story. I found the story entertaining and the premise engaging. The pacing is relatively fast and the plot well crafted. The book was originally published in 1973 and spent quite a bit of time on the best seller's list, as well as being a made for tv movie offering. If you recognize the technological limitations of the time period, I'm sure this book stands the test of time.
