Oh my goodness, this book was brilliant!!! I loved the story and flew through it from cover to cover. The pace is excellent and personally think that the story line is the best so far in the Helen Grace series, it is a story I could really easily see happening too. I wasn't a huge fan of the sixth book in the series but this one tops all of the books I've read so far in 2017 and all of the books in the series (and I've read them all). I really, really enjoyed it and wouldn't hesitate to give it 5 stars. I loved the format and how the story played out and the way the book is a different style from the others in the series. Very highly recommended and will feature on my blog nearer publication date too. Pre-order your copy now - you won't regret it if you love fast paced crime thrillers! 5 stars no hesitation

I am a huge fan of DI Helen Grace and have read all of the series, if you haven't read any then I'd really recommend that you start at the beginning with Eeeny Meeny and go from there as I am sure that you would enjoy the books more in order.

Following the shocking storyline in Hide and Seek I was looking forward to reading what MJ Arlidge would do next with Helen Grace. Love Me Not is a little bit different in that it takes place over 24 hours and is told in real time, this makes for a really fast pace with short chapters increasing the tension and keeping the reader hanging. I read it in two days which is really quick for me, it was one of those books where you ignore the pile of dirty washing and the million and one other things that you have to do, just so that you can keep reading.

I don't want to give too much away but of course, the 24 hours during which the book is set are a very crazy, with lots happening and DI Helen Grace and her team struggling to keep up with it all. It's a fast-paced and fun read and I look forward to the next book!

Thank you to the publishers, Michael Joseph, for the opportunity to read Love Me Not. I was under no obligation to review and all thoughts are my own.

Brilliantly paced paced thriller that had me hooked from the start and kept the momentum going through out the book. Narrated over a 24hr time period Helen Grace is chasing over Southampton trying to get ahead of a killer on a rampage. She is trying to find a pattern to the killings and understand the killers motive. The low life journalise Emilia Garanita is in the thick oft things, desperate for a great story break to reinstate her as a top journalist and go some way to repairing her reputation. Another 5 start read from M J Arlidge

I would like to thank Netgalley and Penguin UK - Michael Joseph for an advance copy of Love Me Not, the seventh novel in the Southampton based DI Helen Grace series.

It has been 9 months since Helen's release from prison and major crime has been quiet in Southampton but Helen has what can only be described as PTSD manifested in a lack of trust towards her colleagues and terrible nightmares. To relieve the stress she takes her bike out for a blast on country roads. It is on one such early morning blast that she finds Sonia Smalling lying on the road dying from gunshot wounds. This is the start of a spree which has Helen and the team playing catchup.

Wow, what a book! This is a high octane read that rattles along at breakneck speed. It takes place over the course of one day so with a high body count it is nonstop action. Obviously, Helen finding Sonia's body is a bit of a coincidence but in I didn't have time to ponder over it before it was off to the next body. I really enjoyed this novel, not just because of the fast pace but it was interesting to read about the team's efforts to identify not only the perpetrator but the next victim and I couldn't put it down until the end so I read it in one sitting.

Love Me Not puts the thrill into thriller so I have no hesitation in recommending it as a great read.

The latest DI Helen Grace just doesn't disappoint. I devoured it in 3 sittings. It is fast paced and captivating from the very first page. The story is told over a breathtaking 24 hour period and is full of twists and turns and edge of the seat moments.

DI Helen Grace has been released from prison and is struggling to come to terms with things that happened inside. She's finding it hard to bond with her team again in particular DS Sanderson.

The opening chapter sets the scene for the whole book. I was both horrified with what took place as I was hooked on reading on. It's a fast paced read and you just don't know where the killer is going to strike next. The race is on to find out why and to find out who's next...

I've been reading this series about DI Helen Grace since it was first published and was very excited to receive this latest installment from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
It was a great read and certainly the sort of novel that kept me on the edge of my seat. It was about a series of murders that take place over the course of one day and Helen and her team are on a race against time to stop the perpetrators and stop the killing. There is no mystery about who the criminaals are as part of the narrative is told from their point of view. It is their motivation which Helen has to discover in order to prevent further deaths.
There is not much information about Helen's personal life unlike previous books. This one just focuses on the spree killings taking place and the desparate rush to catch those responsible.
Although this book is part of a series it can be read as a stand alone novel and I would recommend it to all fans of action packed thrillers. If you haven't read the earlier books you have got a real treat in store!

I would like to thank Michael Joseph and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read ‘Love Me Not’ by M J Arlidge in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
‘Love Me Not’ begins with a man and woman hijacking Probation Officer Sonia Smalling as she drives to work and shooting her dead with a sawn-off shotgun. The woman, Daisy Anderson is a young woman who’s been dealt a bad deal and is now determined to retaliate on those people she felt have rejected or humiliated her. It’s up to Helen Grace, as head of the team and with no boss to take overall charge of the situation, to foresee what Daisy’s going to do next and eventually stop her, but not before Daisy has increased her death tally to six.
‘Love Me Not’ is the seventh in the DI Helen Grace series of thrillers. I’ve read every book and thoroughly enjoyed them all, partly due to their being set in Southampton close to where I live and know the area, but mainly due to the exceptional writing of M J Arlidge who has the ability to introduce excitement and anticipation into each novel. ‘Love Me Not’, in line with the other six, keeps the reader enthralled, the plot is gripping and exciting, and it’s impossible to put down until the last page has been reached. I eagerly await number eight.

This latest instalment in the series featuring Detective Helen Grace is a fast-paced action thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The events take place in the course of just one day, at the head-spinning speed. As usual, there's plenty of murder, action and suspense, but I also liked the short background stories of the victims, which gave a glimpse into their lives.
Every book in the series is different and M J Arlidge never fails to surprise. I can't wait for the next one.
I'd like to thank Netgalley and the publishers for the ARC.

Another fantastic Helen Grace book. I love the action, speed of the story unfolding and the gritty nature of the adventure.

This was brilliantly written as always. Looking forward to the next chapter in Helen's life.

Yet another winner from this author. Read this in one sitting last night, an absolute must read as are all the other books in the series. M. J. Arlidge is one of the best writers out there and never fails to deliver!

Really loved this !! I have read all the previous Helen Grace novels and this was not a disappointment . I raced through it , we know pretty much straight away who the police are looking for after a murderous rampage in which the victims seem unrelated at first . Its down to DI Grace and her team to stop them and to find out the reasons behind what is happening . Really fast paced and exciting with some edge of my seat moments .Fantastic read can't wait for the next one ..... Thank you for the opportunity

A new Helen Grace book is always a joy and this one is no exception. Love Me Not sees Helen Grace in a very different place to the earlier novels. Not long out of prison, feeling angry and betrayed by her colleagues, and with no access to her usual method of relieving tension, Helen is wound up tighter than a snare drum.
To make matters worse, there is a vacancy at the top for a Chief Inspector, so no-one is currently holding those reins. Meanwhile, Helen’s nemesis, Emily Garanita, is back on the desk of the local paper, doing the church notes and other junior jobs as punishment for selling her last story into the nationals, who then dropped her after the same stories that helped to vilify Helen were proved false.
So when a killing spree begins in Southampton, Helen has to fight her demons in order to lead her troops and catch a pair of terrible killers and Emily keen to prove to her boss that she is the best crime reporter the paper will ever have.
Sonia is a mum and wife. She is on her way to work when she comes across a road accident. Minutes later she is lying dead in the road. She will soon be recognised as the first victim in a spree that shows no signs of ever stopping.
The second victim is Alan Samson, a pharmacist. Soon the police are desperately trying to work out what links the victims to establish motive. Emily Garanita thinks she has found a link, in the form of an elaborate dragon eating its tail.
But as Emily sets out to prove her theory she will come face to face with a killer and there will be more deaths before the day is out; deaths that will shock to Southampton force to its core.
Love Me Not is a fast paced thriller that plays out over the course of a 24 hour period. It is an unmissable read and I devoured it in the same period of time.
I loved the way that Helen has changed because of what happened in Hide and Seek. Emily Garanita, too, has become a slightly (but only slightly) less abrasive character.
If Helen’s early life shaped who she is, the events of the last book and this one will undoubtedly leave a strong mark on her.
Where she goes from here will be a fascinating journey and one I am determined not to miss.

I didn't enjoy this as much as I have enjoyed the others in the series.

Love me not by MJ Arlidge.

It has been a while since I have read a book in one sitting, so congratulations to the author on writing a book that kept me sitting still for such a long time, totally engrossing, thrilling and fast paced. It follows Helen Grace over a series of a day chasing after a murderer all over Southampton. There are explanations that follow on from the previous book Hide and Seek (the series must be read in order) and Emilia Garanita is also back with her questionable journalistic techniques and really getting into the thick of it this time.
With short exciting chapters you won't want to put it down and before you know it you will have finished it.
4 / 5 stars

Love me not is the seventh book in the D I Helen Grace series and is yet another tour de force by this fantastic author. The tension builds and builds as Helen and her team are in a race against time hunting for a serial killer/killers with a grudge that knows no bounds.
As usual this book is a cracking story full of shocks and heart stopping moments, I am in awe of M J Arlidge and the ability to keep me spellbound. But what I really enjoyed as the story unfolded was how much more we become involved with Helens emotional side, it finally felt that all she had been through in the past was coming to a head, would it break her or would she come through it stronger than ever? No spoilers, but for me the book ends on a high, and I felt we are going to continue this journey in book 8....that's a hint to the author to hurry up please I need more and I'm sure the rest of you're readers feel as strongly.
Thanks to net galley and publisher for opportunity to review this book, and many thanks to the author for a wonderful read.

Set in Southampton, nine months after being in prison, DI Helen Grace is back out there fighting crime. Emilia our junior crime reporter disgraced from previous actions, is looking to turn her career around.

Sonia is a polish mum and wife apprehended on her way to work as a probation officer by a couple on the road whom shoot her dead in the chest and leave her to be found by Helen.
She is the first victim of many within the twenty four hours.
Alan Samson was a respected pharmaceutical for his family business for over thirty years then found brutally murdered whilst there's a woman and her baby trapped in his shop too.
He's the second victim of brutal murder, whilst the woman provides crucial information for DI Helen.

A story of two criminals, two lovers, who've faced too much wrong done to them to let things lie. They have hearts of stone with cold grudges towards the victims and towards each other...

A dramatic, thrilling, shocking story of how much love can get you so far but how much more hate can cause trouble and change lives forever.

Another fantastic installment to the series I've loved so far!

Thanks to the publishers for allowing me to review this book for them!
