This is a great book; this is the third book in the Boot Creek series written by Nancy Naigle. After yet another heartbreak, Flynn Crane is pretty much done with dating. She’s not even sure she can keep her grandparents’ struggling bed-and-breakfast afloat. But just as she’s about to give up on both her business and her dream of settling down in Boot Creek, Ford Morton walks back into her life. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book. The free book held no determination on my personal review.
Until Tomorrow is the third book in the Boot Creek series by author Nancy Naigle. I read the first two books in the series and enjoyed both of them.
Until Tomorrow is set in Boot Creek, North Carolina but also in a small town in Alaska...think Skagway or Juneau. Flynn lives in Boot Creek and owns the local B&B. Ford is a glassblower who lives in Alaska. They had met at their friend's wedding the year before. Now Ford is in town for a month to teach at a glassblowing workshop. Both have deep roots in the community they live in so the biggest hurdle to their relationship is geography.
As always Nancy Naigle writes a well written and clean romance. Her novels are always a pleasure to read. I particularly enjoyed the Alaska scenes in the book.
Highly recommend Until Tomorrow.
Flynn has no idea what to do. In business or love. Running her grandparents B&B is harder than she thought. Throw in a mooching ex who caused more damage to renovations than good and she's hurting. How can she make ends meet when she can't even book reservations?
Ford makes beautiful glass art. In Alaska. It he's off to NC to see his best friend and teach a class about his art. He's kind of a big deal. But he hasn't stopped thinking about Flynn in the year he's been gone so maybe nows his chance to see what could be.
As these two meet, Flynn and Ford take things extremely slow. She wants to be just friends at first. Her heart can't take another beating. And he lives in Alaska! But the attraction is too strong. With him staying at the B&B and helping her fix things she is growing more and more attached. And when he kisses her she is a goner. But how can things work with them in opposite corners of the country?? Will all be lost because of distance or can a compromise be made? Will one have to give up their dreams or is that too much to ask for love?? Really loves this small town story and the writing behind it!
So glad to be returning to Boot Creek with Ms. Naigle. This story is about Flynn Crane who has recently suffered through another breakup and has decided to swear off men altogether. She needs to focus on getting the family B&B back in shape and up and running again. Ford Morton loves the little town in Alaska where he currently lives but he's glad to be able to spend some time in Boot Creek hopefully reconnecting with Flynn who he met previously at a friends wedding. These two may be at different points in their lives but it's clear the attraction between them is strong. Ford hopes he can convince Flynn to give him a chance.
This one is very well done. I would recommend it.
Until Tomorrow is a sweet, romantic book that has only a handful of very mild curse words (no “f-bombs”) and one vaguely described fade-to-black kind of sex scene – nothing graphic or scandalous. But because this is a Nancy Naigle book, the story itself is intriguing enough that it doesn't need graphic sex scenes or cheap bedroom tricks to keep a reader interested.
I have to admit that for me, this story started off a little slow at the very, very beginning. Flynn comes off as a little self-centered and a little woe-is-me at the start, but stick with it because that is NOT who she turns out to be. The story picks up tremendously once Flynn and Ford finally come face to face. For me, the first few scenes in Alaska were interesting, the scenes in Boot Creek, not so much, but once they got together? I didn't want to stop reading. I absolutely loved the looks into Ford's glass-blowing career (which gave me an item to add to my previously-empty bucket list), and into Flynn's relationships with Billy and her grandparents. The personal moments are what make Nancy Naigle's books so special, and this one was no exception. The camping scene was probably my favorite in the book. ***SPOILER to end of paragraph*** I was a little surprised (and almost) that there was no conclusion regarding Flynn's father. It felt like we were gearing up to something, but that never happened. The drama that was in the book was interesting enough that it wasn't needed, I was just surprised when it didn't happen.
The main characters were really great. Ford was a seriously good guy, a nice guy who didn't need to be a bully (under the guise of being an “dominant alpha”) or a swaggering jerk in order to be sexy. His appeal started and ended with him being a solid, good guy. And Flynn, while a bit of a hot mess, was doing the best that she could while trying to hold her family's legacy together, which made me like her so much. Again, if you start this and wonder what is going on with her, don't fret because she definitely gets it together.
If you enjoy a small town romance book, a book that so vividly describes places (Alaska/Ford's home) and experiences (glass blowing) that you find yourself itching to try it yourself, and a book where the couple don't just hop into bed together and call it love, but actually develop a relationship together, you should give this one a read. I am so glad that I was able to take one more trip to Boot Creek with Nancy Naigle's wonderful characters.
I requested and was generously granted an ARC of this book. I was under no obligation to write this review, I did so because I very much enjoyed the book.
Until Tomorrow is a well written small town romance. It is book 3 in the Boot Creek series. I enjoyed this author's style of writing. I will be reading the first two books in this series.
Once again Nancy Naigle takes us back to Boot Creek, NC. I really love this small town where everyone knows each other.
Flynn and Ford met at Angie and Jackson's wedding. Ford had feelings for Flynn then but went back home to Alaska, where he lives in a small town where everyone knows each other.
Ford returns to Boot Creek for a job. Flynn still running the Bed and Breakfast is looking for love, obviously with all the wrong guys.
Will Ford and Flynn find their way to each other?
A wonderful story full of emotion and perseverance, love, life, family and friends.
I could not put this book down.
I received a copy of this book from NetGalley. Thank you Nancy Naigle and Montlake Romance for the opportunity to read this book.
Having previously met at their mutual friend's wedding, can Flynn and Ford re-connect? Ford travels from Alaska back to North Carolina to teach glassblowing for a couple weeks. While he's there, he's hoping to connect with B&B owner, Flynn.
Having just ended a relationship, Flynn has sworn off men. Especially while she's trying to renovate her grandparents B&B that she recently acquired.
But can Ford break through to Flynn. Can they survive a long-distance relationship?
This book was cute. It was pretty predictable. And to me, Ford just seemed a little too "nice". But it was a cute read.
Flynn and Ford's story. I did like the story enough to finish it, and there were many parts that were enjoyable. At other times things felt a little off, and frustrated me a bit with a lack of details. For example, why was her ex calling all the time? then no mention of him? Why was she so obsessed with the B&B, when the rest of her family was not. Why was her father not mentioned much? I also wish more with Alaska would have been shown, as that sounds like an ideal spot. Overall I did enjoy the story, but just felt it could have been stronger. Would still recommend this book, and do really like this author's work.
Having loved the first book of this series, and not finishing the second book, I had to discover whether Ms. Naigle could capture the magic she did for me when I read Life After Perfect, and I've got to admit this is -- I believe -- the best book of the series so far. However, in saying that, I did find this book a tad slow to start with due to the heroine's whining about her latest break-up and the fact that it takes a few chapters for the hero and heroine to come face-to-face, but when they did I was totally excited. Because they had a connection when they met at the wedding of their mutual friends, and I couldn't wait to discover which direction their relationship would take, as Flynn has decided to give up on relationships. Will Ford be able to change her mind? Can he show her that not all men will let her down?
Both the main characters entertained me from start to finish with their growing relationship, their back stories and I especially liked learning all about Ford's work as a glassblower. It was very interesting, and has me wanting to give it a try. Moreover, Ford has come a long way in his life with going from a lawyer living in Tennessee to being a glassblower in Alaska, and I could sympathize with him when it came to making such a drastic change in his life. Because there was no way a sweet, kind and caring man like Ford would ever be able to hack the kind of work his father lived for and be able to live with himself. However, what I liked most about Ford was all that he did for Flynn and how determined he was to win her over. He showed her she was special and deserved love in her life. Besides, he's definitely the right man for her.
While Flynn, I thought she was a bit of a whiner and a tad weak in the beginning because of her recent break-up and the fact that she might give in to talking to her ex, but I liked that she proved me wrong and realized in the end that her relationships never worked out because none of the men she was ever with were her Mr. Right. Furthermore, the heroine is also loyal and has so much love for her grandparents that she would be there for them in an instant. Yet, what I liked most of all about the heroine was the choices she had to make and that I believed she mostly made the right ones when it comes to pursuing a relationship with Ford; the choice she has to make between family and Ford; and the temptation she was presented with her old job. Would she go back to her old job? Would she continue to run the B&B when she's falling in love with Ford and he lives in Alaska?
Overall, Ms. Naigle has delivered a wonderful read in this book where the romance took a while to go from platonic to physical, but was worth the wait because of the chemistry between Ford and Flynn, which increases with every moment they interact with playful banter. The way this story ended was completely satisfying, as both the hero and heroine were willing to do whatever it takes to be together. In other words, sacrifices had to be made because nothing is more important than to be with the one they love. I would recommend Until Tomorrow by Nancy Naigle, if you enjoy the friends to lovers trope, the matchmaking trope, or books by authors Terri Osburn, Carolyn Brown or Jamie Beck.
I loved book one in this series, Every Yesterday, and though I missed book 2 , I was looking forward to this book. Sadly, I was disappointed.
The story centers around Flynn and Ford. Flynn is struggling to keep her grandparents B & B afloat. All she really wants is a family to call her own.
Ford, currently living in Alaska , now a glass blower, was a lawyer in his past life. He is ready to find a woman and start a family. He takes a month long engagement in North Carolina with the ulterior of finding said wife. He has his eyes on Flynn, whom he met at his friend’s wedding.
I somehow did not find the story nor the characters engaging. I would have stopped midway, but felt I owned it to the author to finish it.
I was gifted this book by Netgalley. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
I tried to complete and like this book, but it got harder each day and I was unable to go pass the 46% mark.I thought the premise was really good but found the execution lackluster and it's possible that it got better as the story plods along,so my review should not be taken as a complete evaluation. While I may not have found this book interesting and worthy of more effort on my part, I can see the potential in this author's work and will give her books another go around. This book was made available from Netgalley.
While I definitely wanted to finish the book, it was predicable for the category.
I really wanted to like this book. The beginning showed promise but then the book just stayed flat. I kept wondering when the feelings between the characters would continue to develop but it felt like I was missing something. I forced myself to finish it and by the end I was still confused.
