Fliss and Harriet run a dog-walking company in Manhattan and when visiting the vets one day, Fliss discovers that her ex-husband Seth is now working there. Panicked, Fliss decides to travel down to the Hamptons to avoid Seth and help look after her grandmother, only to realise that Seth is in the Hamptons too and her plans for avoiding him won't work for very long.
I love Sarah Morgan's books - they're such reliable good reads for the holidays and I fairly sped through this one. I have to say that while Fliss and Seth aren't my favourite pairing from Morgan, I appreciated that twist in the romance where for once the ex isn't the bad guy. I really liked the relationship between Fliss and her grandma too.
A great holiday read that I read in one go. 4 stars.

While Sarah Morgan’s love stories could be described as a stereotypical chic flick, she does it with such style that I can’t help but to keep going back.

Each book she writes makes me fall in love with the characters and Holiday in the Hamptons was no different.

Unfortunately I hadn’t realised that this was #5 in the ‘From Manhattan with Love’ arrived but thankfully, it didn’t detract from the story. The other books in the series just set the scene with other key characters, such as Fliss’s sister, rather than Fliss herself.

Written by rote. Quick to read but unsatisfying with stereotypes for characters. An interesting story that needed more depth

This was a well written, quite enjoyable light read. Although the outcome was rather predictable, I did enjoy reading this novel and would read further books by this author if they were set in interesting places.

Unfortunately, I read this book back in 2017 but completely forgot to upload a review on here, so can't remember exactly what I was going to say about it!

Oh how I wish I was holidaying in The Hamptons right now! An absolutely glorious read, with a stunning setting and the loveliest of characters.

I have really enjoyed all of Sarah Morgan's books set around the same 'universe' in and around New York City. Not only do you get to know two new characters, you also get to catch up on some of the future developments of previous characters you have come to love. I love how Sarah's stories all intertwine but you also get a new and fresh perspective and dig deeper on some characters that you have met briefly before in her previous books.

Fairly formulaic Rom Com but Morgan always writes such warm and funny characters that it is easy to forgive. A lovely setting and a sweet story for the perfect holiday read.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 suspend reality stars!

Does exactly what it says on the tin.

Escapism at its best, I loved it and it only lost that last star because (and yes i maybe am being picky) some of the characters did become a bit annoying and a bit OTT.

I whizzed through this book a perfect summer by the pool romance with comedy elements thrown in.

This is a great easy read for the summer, which has just arrived here in the U.K. It flows along at a steady pace and has some lovely romantic moments in it between Fliss and her ex Seth, who you are willing to find each other and love again. The characters are well written and likeable, but my favourites were the addition of the dogs in Fliss and Harriet's dog walking business and Seth's lovely dog Lulu.

Perfect book for summer holidays to while away the days in the sun.

This is the fifth book in the From Manhattan with Love series. If you've been following the books, this one features Harriet and Fliss, the twins who run a successful dog-walking business in New York. The focus is on Fliss and her ex-hubby Seth.

This story is dialogue heavy in a sense that the main characters spend a lot of time really digging into their problems. It is less light fluffy candy floss and more of a toffee you have to chew. Morgan can write the perfect literary equivalent of a chocolate chip cookie or a create a tear inducing read, and yet she is also a dab hand at the more intricate relationship plots.

Holiday in the Hamptons is witty and amusing, but it is also about a couple who disassemble their relationship in an attempt to at least salvage a friendship. Sometimes you have to step outside and look in through your own living room window to try and get some objectivity.

Fliss and Seth have spent quite a long time apart since the disastrous and rather abrupt end of their marriage. Fliss spends a large amount of time trying to avoid any contact with Seth. Not because she hates him, but because she is scared of her real feelings. There are so many unresolved issues she has never laid to bed or not really come to terms with yet. Seth just reminds her of her own failings.

Seth is giving Fliss the space she needs, although he would rather be one half of a happy couple again. Which is probably the reason he goes along with her crazy and outlandish scheme to keep Seth at arms length. It is quite hilarious though.

Morgan is an expert at entertaining her readers, whilst delving into the complexities of love, romance and relationships. There is no such thing as a dull moment in any of her stories.

A warm easy to read romance story - I really enjoyed this book.

This is part of a series which I haven't read and I enjoyed it as a standalone novel. It has interesting characters and a well flowing story which kept my interest right through until the end.

It is a story of second chances and reconciliation and of everyday misunderstandings. I enjoyed how there are several different character stories interwoven throughout the book.

A perfect book to snuggle on the sofa with on a chilly winter day or holiday read in the sun!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

Romance sometimes falls by the wayside and is lost, but not always. Space is sometimes needed for emotions and want to become so strong that nothing will be left to stand in the way. Second time around love and commitment is so powerful.
Good read.

Provided by NetGalley for an honest review.

When this book came up on NetGalley for a review, I jumped at the chance to read it. Sarah Morgan has fast become an author whose books I’m loving reading. They are easy, yet complicated enough to keep me on my toes. Her characters are always well written and well researched and her love stories pull you straight in and keep you there until the very last word written.

Loved this book. I love the fact that each sibling gets a book and even though this is the second in the series, and I haven’t read the first, I feel like the characters are well written and developed as always. What I found intriguing was the way each of the twins dealt with an emotionally abusive parent. And how their mother didn’t really deal with him. All of Fliss’s issues stem from her relationship with her father and her constant need to prove him wrong and be bigger and better than he ever thought or wanted. Meeting her ex brings it all home and she finally has to deal with both her issues with her dad and her issues with her ex. Two lovebirds meant to be together but life and circumstances prevented it the first time. Can they make it work this time...?

Inject some much needed sunshine and sparkle in a cold and dreary winter day with multi award-winning author Sarah Morgan’s gloriously uplifting tale, Holiday in the Hamptons.

Fliss Knight has not had the easiest of childhoods. While she is devoted to her twin sister Harriet and her older brother, Daniel, Fliss’ childhood was the stuff of nightmares with her father’s unpredictable temper and her parents’ constant fighting and bickering the soundtrack to her early life. Desperate to escape from her unhappy home, Fliss thought that she had hit the jackpot when one summer she had fallen madly in love with Seth Carlyle. Their fling had quickly given way to something deeper and, even though they were only teenagers, Seth and Fliss had married. But their marital happiness was short-lived and Fliss and her sister Harriet had set up their own dog-walking business in New York with Fliss’ bruised heart precluding her from ever developing feelings for anyone else ever again. Fliss has all she needs: a thriving business, a fantastic relationship with her sister and all the dogs and puppies she could possibly need. She doesn’t have the time to miss being in a relationship – even if she has never quite managed to vanquish Seth from her heart. Happily settled in New York, Fliss thinks she’ll never clap eyes on her ex-husband ever again. But fate seems to have other ideas in store for her…

Fliss would sooner stick pins in her eyes than confront her feelings for her ex-husband, so with no other option available to her, she packs her bags and heads off to her grandmother’s house in the Hamptons. But Fliss may be able to run, but she certainly cannot hide for Seth has followed her to her hideaway and he is not going to go away this time. Seth might have let Fliss slip through his fingers once, but he is not about to go through all that anguish and heartache ever again. He wants to have his wife back in his life and he will pull out all the stops to achieve his objective – even if it means facing old demons and past secrets which he would rather keep buried.

With his adorable dog Lulu by his side, will Seth manage to make Fliss realise that the only way she can be happy is if she gives their love another try? Will Fliss take a leap of faith and grasp this unexpected twist of fate? Or will she continue to hide behind the wall which she has built around herself and her heart?

Sarah Morgan strikes gold once again with this wonderfully written romance that will make readers’ hearts sing! Holiday in the Hamptons is a wonderful read that I couldn’t bear to put down and which I devoured in a single sitting. Sarah Morgan has got this wonderful ability to make readers laugh and cry on the same page and they are sure to be mesmerized and enthralled by this funny, witty, poignant and spellbinding love story!

A five star read from a writer who never lets her readers down, Holiday in the Hamptons is another keeper by Sarah Morgan!

I really enjoyed this one. The only fault I have with this is one of my own making. I didn't realize it was part of a series! I'm so upset!! I need the rest now.
