I haven’t always been a Sarah Morgan fan, one Christmas I picked up her Snow Crystal Trilogy and was just amazed at her ability to capture not only the feeling but the magic that surrounds Christmas and ever since then she’s become one of my must read authors, so when I read the synopsis for Holiday In The Hamptons I jumped on it, I wanted to see if she could pull it off again and capture the feelings and magic that comes with lazy summer days and I wasn’t disappointed.

Fliss and Seth surprised me, after reading the synopsis I was expecting them to be quite different, I definitely thought they were a little bit older and a part of me expected them to be a bit more damaged from their failed marriage but that was purely because I was expecting them to be older and a bit more set in their ways. I loved seeing how they acted around each other at the beginning and as the story progressed, I felt the emotions and general tone of the book was genuine all the way through, it never felt rushed or like the feelings or scenarios were manufactured by the author to achieve her end goal, it just felt like a natural progression from start to finish and that is one of the reasons I’m giving it 5 stars. Seth is the kind of hero I really enjoy reading about, he’s a vet, which as far as professions go is a pretty swoon worthy one, he has patience with Fliss when many wouldn’t and he’s totally gorgeous! Fliss is an amazing heroine too, she’s a bit flighty and she’s way too hard on herself but the more you read the more understandable her behaviour is, the way she looks out for her twin sister Harriet is admirable and the most amazing bit is it’s ingrained in her to be that way it’s second nature to her to be the protector, I really hope Harriet gets a book and soon, I want to know more about her.

Holiday In The Hamptons is the perfect summer read no matter where you are or what the weather, Morgan has captured everything that I love about summer and put it into a book with an enchanting story and two characters who deserve a happily ever after more than most.

Thanks Netgalley and the Publisher. One of my favourite authors who I like to read when things are miserable outside and I need an uplift

This is real rollercoaster of a romance about second chances.

Seth and Fliss, both very young had a summer holiday romance in the Hamptons. With her family background and further complications, things went horribly wrong. Lack of communications was the biggest obstacle.

It's now ten years later and neither of them have been able to forget what they had. Seth is a Vet and Fliss runs a successful dog walking business. Fliss' traumatic childhood has taught her not to show her feelings, therefore she has built this wall that nobody can get through. Not even her twin who is her business partner and best friend.

Seth now wants closure, one way or another. When they eventually talk to each other again, they discover that they really don't t know how the other feel. They both feel guilty about past events and are afraid of causing any more heartaches. It hasn't been easy for either of them and even though their feelings haven't changed, they have. Fliss is still guarded but more mature in other ways. Seth acknowledges his mistakes and will do anything to get through to Fliss. Not an easy feat!

Fliss is very protective towards her loved ones but sees herself as the bad twin. Something that's been drummed into her since early childhood. Seth is patient, determined and understanding. There is a lot of emphasis on different family dynamics and the long term effects. This is an emotional story, full of uncertainties and angst. It builds up gradually until the point where I was completely hooked. It's a beautifully written love story with a myriad of emotions. Frustration, anger, love, passion, guilt, uncertainties and laughter. I absolutely love how it all comes together in the end. It's a journey well worth taking.

I received a complimentary eARC from the publisher via NetGalley and the views expressed are my personal opinion.

A rather predictable holiday romance type book. Enjoyable but really not a great read. Shame I was looking forward to reading it.

Holiday in the Hamptons is the first book I've read by Sarah Morgan and I requested it as soon as I read its blurb on Netgalley. It's a lovely seaside romance story about Fliss meeting her ex-husband Seth again after being separated for 10 years.

Fliss was happily running her professional dog walking business in Manhattan when Seth appeared within close quarters. She used her grandmother as an excuse to escape to the Hamptons to avoid Seth but it turns out fate had something else in store.

Seth had let Fliss go too easily 10 years ago and he's not going to make the same mistake again. With the help of his dog Lulu he tried to get Fliss to open up to him.

I loved reading about how Seth tried to win Fliss back, or perhaps it didn't require too much of his effort! There was quite a bit of build up and anticipation to a particular scene and I was constantly looking out for it. This book certainly did not disappoint and I would not hesitate to pick up more of Sarah Morgan's books in the future.

This is part of a series of titles involving a group of characters who pop up in other titles but each book can be read as a standalone title.. In this one Seth and Felicity run into each other a decade after the last met - young love had gone wrong. Now they are older are they ready to find love again and can it be with each other? A good summer beach read, Romance, misunderstandings and much more.

A lovely, light, romantic novel. Good characters, lots of angst and resolutions. I do love happy endings

This book is a nice easy read, ideal for reading on holiday.
It is quite slow to begin with,
but once the characters start to develop and interact it moves along at a good pace.

I enjoyed reading it but did find it
predictable, although the characters were easy to relate to,
and I am sure that fans of this author will be pleased with this
addition to the ongoing series of books.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I am a huge fan of Sarah Morgan's writing and have read most of her previous books. When I saw her newest offering on NetGalley, I immediately knew I wanted to read this one.

Twin sisters Fliss and Harriet own a dog walking business in Manhattan. A good 10 years ago Fliss separated from her teenage sweetheart Seth and hasn't seen him since. That is until he covers for a vet in the clinic the sisters use for their business. There is a lot of hurt and undiscussed feelings between Fliss and Harriet, but rather than to talk to Seth, she escapes to the Hamptons in order to care for her elderly grandmother. However, this might have not been her smartest plan, as the first person she comes across in the Hamptons is none other than Seth. To make matters worse, she pretends to be her identical twin Harriet. How long will Fliss be able to keep her little white lie up?

In true Sarah Morgan style, this novel is filled with plently of romantic moments and sheer passion. I loved her depiction of the Hamptons. Not that I have ever been there (and to be honest, probably will never go there - unless I win the lottery), but I thought the setting was extremely well chosen and tied in fantastically with the whole feel of the book.

Fliss was a very likeable character and I rooted for her from the beginning on. The reader quickly gets an insight into her emotional state as we learn more about her past. She puts on a brave face to guard herself from any hurt, but her inner voice depicts a different story altogether. Will she, this time around, be able to open up to Seth?

Holiday in the Hamptons is a fantastic read, a rollercoaster of emotions and a story about second chances.

I have never read anything by Sarah Morgan before but requested my copy from Netgalley on the basis of the blurb. It turns out that this book is part of a series but that was immaterial as it works well as a stand alone novel.
The author has a relaxed style of writing with which it is very easy to engage and I was hooked from the beginning. There are interesting characters and a somewhat unusual plot which, whilst it doesn't exactly keep you guessing as to the outcome, reels you in just enough to make you not want to put it down.
I rather wish I had kept this book for my holiday next week as it the perfect holiday read and I will be looking for more books by Sarah Morgan in future.

Fliss has no self esteem due to the verbal cruelty of her father. Her marriage to Seth was very short lived. When thy meet up 10 years later, Seth and her grandmother work to build up her self esteem. A lovely romantic novel ,compelling reading. Loved it.

Holiday in the Hamptons by Sarah Morgan was a lovely little read. You are instantly transported to sun, sea and sand as this love story progresses.

The story didn't blow me away but I did enjoy it and the characters are likeable.

I would give this 3.5 stars.

Thank you to NetGalley, HQ Books and the author for the chance to review.

Im so in love with Sarah Morgan's easy reading style of writing and Holiday in the Hamptons is everything I expected it to be and so much more. Even though this is ultimately a romance that is built on the foundations of a second chance at love it has plenty of drama and heartbreak that will keep you reading and have you getting so emotional that it will have you grasping for a box of tissues and a packet of chocolate biscuits to comfort you as you share in the turmoil going on between the pages of this book. With the charming setting of the Hamptons being so beautifully described by the author you could just imagine yourself there sitting on the sand at the edge of the sea besides the characters waiting as their story unfolds in front of you.
Fliss is co owner of the Bark Rangers a dog walking service in Manhattan with her twin sister Harriet, so when someone from her past shows up unexpectedly she suddenly finds she needs to runaway and hide from them, so when her grandmother takes a fall and needs help to be allowed home from hospital she flees to the Hamptons to help look after her but as plans go it's an epic failure right from the start. It brings up so many traumatic memories for Fliss when she meets Seth again for the first time in ten years and once you see why they parted ways in the first place it made my heart hurt for them both. They were both young and stupid and thought that they had both hurt each other for the wrong reasons and with them both having had a very different kind of childhood their actions were taken the wrong way on both sides because of it.
This a very emotional story with some sadness but also many happy funny moments happen between them on their way to finding their happy ever after. I have totally loved reading this book of Fliss and Seth finding each other again and of learning to trust in each other again. I cannot wait to read more stories from this brilliantly talented author..
An amazing 5 Stars!

Couldn't wait to dive into another of Sarah Morgan's novels and this didn't disappoint. Loved reading Fliss's story - can't wait for Harriet's!

This is a lovely, happy read. The main protagonists were likeable and you were rooting for them all the way through the book. Although it is a stand-alone story, it was interesting to have characters from the Manhattan series popping up. I find that Sarah Morgan books are like a dose of sunshine on a rainy day - they cheer you up and make the world feel like a better place.

I have only recently discovered Sarah Morgan as an author and have been devouring her books one by one. Initially I found it a little hard to get drawn into this book but part of the way through I really started to enjoy it and by the end I loved it.

Holiday in the Hamptons is book 5 in the From Manhattan with Love series and focuses on professional dog walker Fliss who has a thriving business with her twin sister in New York and loves it… that is until her ex-husband Seth starts working in the vets that they use. When her grandmother calls from the Hamptons needing help after an accident Fliss uses this as a way to escape and avoid facing him.
While Fliss seems to have it together in her professional life, her personal life is a little bit more of a mess. Her childhood was not the best and she did not have a great relationship with her father which led to her seeing herself as the bad twin who could never do anything right. This feeling is what drives all her decisions as she is convinced that she does not deserve to be happy. Fliss is a strong, feisty character however there were times that I felt that I wanted to shake her as she seemed so determined to let things from her past derail her future. For every one step forward she takes with sorting out her life she seems to run 3 steps backwards. It is her love of dogs that does make for this as I will admit to being a big softie where they are concerned. She has an overwhelming need to protect her twin sister even now they are grown up and tries to hide things from her that she thinks she can’t deal with.
Seth has never forgotten Fliss and although I thought the story was going to show he was the reason why they broke up I could not have been more wrong. He is determined to get Fliss to see what they had is still there and worth fighting for but he is also prepared to do it on her terms. Seth sometimes comes across as too good to be true as he seems perfect with the exception that he gave up on his marriage too easily the first time round.
Her Grandmother, despite her accident is full of life and has quite a close set of friends who love to gossip and have a bit of fun teasing Fliss and I often found myself chuckling at their antics During her recuperation she gives Fliss a little insight into her parents’ marriage that helps her understand the problems a little bit more.
The story took a little while to get going and apart from the sense that something bad happened between Seth and Fliss to end their marriage you do not really get a feel for what is going on until they both arrive in the Hamptons.
What I like about this book is that there are no unnecessary characters in it and people are only introduced if they are bringing something to the story. You learn about Fliss and Seth’s history in pieces but it ties in well with what is happening at the time. Whilst this may be book five in the series it can be read as a stand-alone novel. Despite its slightly slow start I found that I raced through this book often chuckling at some of the situations Fliss found herself in due to her stubbornness. Holiday in the Hamptons is a charming story and a great summer read for chic lit fans.

This book is number 5 in the Manhattan with Love series, but works well as a stand alone. Fliss and Harriet are twins who have a successful dog walking business in Manhattan and their characters are very different ( or so it seems at first). Fliss is hiding secrets about her failed marriage to Seth and her dysfunctional family. Her upbringing has made her build protective walls around herself so when she bumps into Seth again in Manhattan, she runs off to the Hamptons to look after her grandmother, pretending to be her twin sister. This might have worked if she hadn't run into Seth, who is the local vet. He recognises Fliss at once but goes along with her pretence. It's a lovely read, finding out whether Fliss and Seth can forgive each other and find the happiness they deserve. We meet some characters from the previous books and there's a nice reference to the Snow Crystal books too. Highly recommended - not just a soppy romance, there's real character development.
