Oh. My. Gosh!
They just keep getting better.
If you've never read any books by Robert Bryndza....why not?!
Start now! Start with the 'Girl In the Ice'...go on, do it, do it now!!

Review to follow:-

After reading The Girl in the Ice, The Night Stalker and Dark Water and being completely wowed by them, I couldn’t wait to get started with this one.

It didn’t disappoint. What a great plot.
Robert Bryndza has the ability to hook me in straight away.

The current obsession with social media played a big part in this plot. Watch who you accept as friends on Facebook! It really does make me think about privacy settings, location settings and being tagged in places.
I felt quite sorry for the girls who were excited to go on a date with this good-looking guy. Only for it to be someone quite different.
During the investigation I was intrigued by the killer avoiding the CCTV cameras, something I never give a thought to. I suppose when you have nothing to hide you don’t even think about that kind of thing.

Some of the characters really creeped me out, especially the farmer’s son and the farmer’s milking helper.
The farmer and his wife were not the nicest either….thinking more of the farmhand than their son at times. They had their own sadness from the past to deal with I guess.
I really felt for Bryony. She just wanted a boyfriend.
The descriptions of that old oast house were so vivid….what a nightmare!

On to Erika Foster, I love how she constantly goes on her instinct, her gut feeling. Even when the top brass try to rein her in.
She is a great, ballsy and smart character. It doesn’t always go down well with her superiors but it makes her team of Peterson and Moss fiercely loyal.
I saw a bit more of her softer side this time, and that was nice.
The pace of the plot kept me turning the pages. Kept the adrenaline going for sure!
Erika Foster is a definite favourite of mine.
Thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for my review copy in exchange for an honest review.

I never got the hype surrounding book 1 in this series, I mean it was good but not 5* material. However this book along with the others in the series just get better and better. The writing seems improved and although we know who the killer is early on you still find yourself racing to the finish.

Love Robert Bryndza books. Having read his previous books involving Detective Chief Inspector Erica Foster I couldn't wait to read his new book. His books never disappoint. Not a book to dip in and out of as you can't put it down once started. Involving social media and murder the storyline is totally believable and very scarey. The murderer is a crazy character who appears to others as a quiet and normal human being. Far from it!! A cold and calculating piece of scum is a better description and the way he meets his victims is just as scarey as it's so plausible . Love the spotlight on Erika's love life in the book too. Readers will want her to have a happy ever after ending. All in all a 5 star read. I don't know how Mr Bryndza can keep on writing 5 star books but long may it continue and if you haven't read one of his books before you are crazy!!

The next in the series Erika Foster series and it's another home run.
Erika just cannot stay out of trouble. Still not able to get assigned back to a Murder Investigative Team, she is miserable in Projects Team. The book has barely started when she's butted in on someone else’s murder crime scene and lands on Superintendent Spark’s sh** list. Still, she's like a dog with a bone and refuses to stop looking into the case, even after a suspect is arrested.

I found myself shaking my head at her tenacity. This is a woman who hardly has a life outside of her job. She consistently takes advantage of the few friends she has, such as Peterson and Strong. You know she's desperate when she's willing to apologize to Sparks. Bryndza does a wonderful job of painting this obsessed woman.

This book is a definite page turner. From the beginning, you know who the killer is. But if anything, that just ratchets up the tension, as he is one depraved soul.

Just an amazing series. Definitely add this book or the entire series to your TBR list. Thank heavens Mr. Bryndza is a fast writer because I’m already anxious to read book five.

My thanks to netgalley and Bookouture for an advance copy of this book.

The Erika Foster series is fast becoming my favorite detective series. I just know when I pick up the next book in the series i'm in for a proper treat . This was no different with this next installment

I decided to read Dark Water #3 and then Last Breath in a mini ''Erika Foster'' marathon.

I adored being in this world for the 3 days I took to read both books. Last Breath was another page turner and a quick read. The Bookhangover was shocking. I just wanted to stay in this world .

It like all the other books had an amazing story-line as well as good character development with our usual cast.

Thank you to Bookouture and Robert Bryndza for being able to read an advance copy of this book for a fair and honest review.

Now I have got to try and wait patiently while Robert writes the next installment!

5 out of 5 stars

(Review scheduled for 5pm 27th March)

This is the 4th book in the series and every book seems to get better (if that is at all possible). The book had me captivated from start to finish with the ending making me want more, much more. I would highly recommend this book any all others in the series. The author is very talented.

Actually 4.5 stars but I have rounded it up.
This series just keeps getting better. The main crime being investigated is complete within this book but I wouldn't recommend diving straight in with this book as, shall we just say, Erika's past is a bit chequered and, although little catch-ups are included for new readers, to get the best out of her as a character, I'd start from book one and read in order. I mean, why not, they aren't too dear and, in my opinion, are all great books.
Ok, so at the start of the book, Erika is no longer with the murder team although she still has "connections" to it and one night, she attends a crime scene and, as her current position within the Police is not really cutting it for her fulfilment-wise, she does everything she possible can to inveigle herself into the investigation. Erika, eager to solve the crime, throws herself back into the job all guns blazing and, true to form, with little regard for rules, regulations, tact and diplomacy. Although not a whodunnit for the reader as we learn the identity of the perpetrator quite early on, the fun is to be found in watching how the police investigate, how they piece together the clues and that makes for quite a pleasant and refreshing change.
As with all the books in the series, characterisation is spot on, the regulars are developing nicely and growing a a team and the extras in this book are all very well drawn and come across on the whole as real. Banter and other interaction between characters was also up to the usual high standard previously presented by this author. My only gripe would be that I didn't quite find the baddie to be completely credible. Something was just a little off in their motivation and behaviour. But then again, it's rare that things are completely black and white so I guess it's ok.
The story was interesting and help my attention very nicely throughout. I think it only took me a couple of sittings to read but I do remember not wanting to put it down and becoming a little grumpy when I did have to.
All in all, another brilliant edition to an already great series. Roll on book five.

My thanks go to the Publisher and Netgalley for the chance to read this book.

Robert Bryndza has woven another gripping crime thriller and Erika Foster is again on the chase to piece together the clues. This time she is after a serial killer who tortures his victims, kills them, and throws them in a dumpster. The tension builds throughout and I found myself unable to put the book down until the end. Bryndza builds the investigation masterfully and interweaves some police politics and a love affair making for an engrossing read. Recommended to anyone who loves crime fiction.

This is Book 4 in the Erika Foster detective series, and I hope they keep coming. Erika Foster is a complex character and follows her instincts to do the right thing - procedure be damned!

Thanks to Bookouture through NetGalley for an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

Number four in the Erika Foster series and every bit as unputdownable as the first three. The book starts with a murder, then we are introduced to the murderer and then we are put in the position of knowing everything and praying for the cops to catch up. By the end it is edge of the seat, chewing your finger nails and hyperventilating as Erika and her team get nearer and nearer but will they get there in time?
This is proving to be a very rewarding series. The stories are good, the characters are appealing and there is always lots of action. [author:Robert Bryndza|5763380] writes well and knows how to rack up the tension and maintain the reader's interest. Altogether excellent and I hope there will be more to come.
(Thanks to Netgalley for my digital copy to read and review.)

Proceed with caution........

Lifting the heavy lid of a dumpster at 3 a.m..may well bring you more than just a heap of trash. Ask the apartment dweller whose eyes fell upon a badly beaten female corpse contained within. Gonna have a hard time casting that sight from his memory for years to come.

And while this one is brewing, DCI Erika Foster is grinding the gears while trying to get back into the Murder Investigation Team. She's been side-lined for a while. Foster doesn't play well with others. She's left quite a trail of bad behavior. The higher-ups have been roadblocking her transfer for some time and a visit to Superintendent Sparks just doesn't end well. Ask Foster how only one of them left the office on two feet.

But Foster can elbow her way through the worst of conditions. She's been given her old team back and the opportunity to bloodhound like never before. The murderer keeps ratcheting up the tallies with more missing young women. And Foster is not about to be kicked to the curb this time.

Robert Bryndza reveals a bit of a transformation in his main character of DCI Erika Foster in this one. Still intensely fierce and a take-no-prisoners attitude, Erika vents her private nature in a different direction. "It wasn't just the circumstances of the victims' deaths which haunted her, it was the lives that had been snuffed out prematurely."

From the very first sentence, Bryndza sets the story at a rapid pace. Short, spirited chapters catapult the storyline from one breathless action to the next. Bryndza reveals the killer from the onset. We, the readers, snap on our seatbelts (and you're gonna need one) as Foster and her team get closer and closer. Just how is this person staying one step ahead of them? The answer may lay at the bottom of the next dumpster........

I received a copy of Last Breath through NetGalley for an honest review. My thanks to Bookouture and to Robert Bryndza for the opportunity.

Another gripping installment in the brilliant Detective Erika Foster series, one that will certainly make you think twice about what you are sharing on social media, or online dating in general.

Really enjoyed seeing how Erika managed to get onto a case that was outside her current teams guidelines, and seeing how she is managing her career prospects. What is undeniable is she is a good detective and has strong inklings in how to deal with seemingly impossible to track down serial killers.

I wasn't as enthralled by this case as I have been by others in the series. It was gory, but just didn't really get under my skin. May be that I did't really get a feel for the victims, nor was I really that sure just what the motivation of the villain was.

I did enjoy seeing how the police tried to solve it, and the teams thought processes. As the book progressed, I found myself enjoying it more and more, and was completely hooked towards the end.

I am loving the Erika Foster series, and am keen to see where it goes on from here.

Thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for this copy of the book which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

Has Erica Foster finally met her match? Has she finally been given the case she will never close? This is undoubtedly Robert Bryndza at his Best! A complex, gritty, suspense filled & at times disturbing first class Crime Thriller. A tough case for Foster, Peterson & the team interwoven with some softer parts where we get to see the other side of Erica. This Book is written with a fast pace, stunning twists & some Shocking turns. Robert Bryndza & Erica Foster make a best-selling team. Definitely up there with my tips reads of 2017!

Grab yourself a hot piece of pizza, a fresh cold beer, and Robert Bryndza’s new novel and be prepared to escape into another non-stop, adrenaline-pumping, thrilling ride!

LAST BREATH (Detective Erika Foster, #4) by ROBERT BRYNDZA is an action-packed, exciting, and a gripping suspenseful mystery/thriller that pulled me in right away and didn’t let go once as the story races along at high-speed to the breathless and exhilarating ending.

ROBERT BRYNDZA delivers another well-written read here with non-stop action, although some things are revealed to us early on it is the tone, the well-developed characters, and the storyline that grabs your attention.  I really liked all the characters and loved how Bryndza balanced their work and personal lives in this book.

I absolutely love Erika Foster as we see a little softer side to her in LAST BREATH but she is still that extremely likeable, interesting, entertaining, and strong character who is just as cutting and determined to get results.

To sum it all up it was an entertaining, exciting, tense, fast-paced, and a quick read with a very satisfying ending. Highly recommend!!

Thank you to NetGalley, Bookouture, and Robert Bryndza for the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book for a fair and honest review.

I love this series! This installment was very good with a very creepy character kidnapping and murdering women. The police work involved in catching this killer was intriguing and frustrating. At one point, I actually thought that he was going to get away with murder. The murderer was like a ghost and left almost no clues for the police to follow, a very difficult case. I loved that Erika's team was together in this book and have to say that Moss may very well be one of my favourite police characters of all time. I enjoyed reading about how Erika has learned to keep her mouth shut in some situations but still lets her superiors know exactly how she thinks things should be done. Erika's personal growth is so interesting to read about and gets better in each book in the series. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series!

I've read the previous DI Erika Foster novels and enjoyed them so I was excited to receive Last Breath from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
Erika investigates a killer who stalks his victims on social media. This is a very current theme as nowadays so much is shared in this way it would be very easy for someone with bad intentions to gain information using this method.
From early on in the book the murderer is revealed to the reader so it is a race against time for Erika's team to find him before he murders more girls.
At the beginning Erika is not working on the murder squad and gets involved through Peterson with whom she is having a relationship. She manages to get herself reassigned eventually and then the story really takes off.
I liked the interaction between Erika and Peterson as Erika tries to overcome her guilt at starting over after the death of her husband several years earlier.
The story moves effortlessly between Erika, the kidnapped girls and the killer so we see what is happening from three different viewpoints.
The author lightens the atmosphere with some banter from Moss, the other detective on the squad.
Erika is feisty and very motivated to find the kidnapped victims. She is not patient and speaks her mind, even to her superior officers which does not always go down well. However we see a softer side to her in her relationship with Petersen. I particularly enjoyed this aspect of her character development.
Although this is part of a series I believe it could also be read as a stand alone novel. However all the books are compelling reads so it would be worth reading the earlier ones first in order to learn more about Erika's background .
An enjoyable thriller which gets five stars from me.

I love Robert Bryndza's writing. He has the knack of making his characters very real and rounded. I was looking forward to this the fourth in the Erika Foster series and was not disappointed. The story goes along at a good pace with the tension building to the very end. As acrime novelist in my opinion Robert is up there with the best. Look forward to the next one. Positive review will be placed on Amazon and Goodreads
