An interesting and unique book. If you get it in hardcover, the cover is protected so you can use it as a coaster. A cute read.

The book is very well written.
I'm not British and I have to admit I do not understand British humor, so I missed the "pun".

I would certainly not call this book humorous, nor educational. I found some short stories funny, but not in a laugh-out-loud kind of way. Some are actually sad and cringy, and you realise this only after you're done making fake laugh noises.

If this is meant to be a children's book the parents read to their children and they snort or giggle as they read it, mission accomplished. These are shorter than a short story. I read an e-book copy, I don't know what the physical version of the book looks like, but it would be fun to have some drawings or interesting art accompanying the "stories".

As far as I am concerned, this was not for me, but it was an out of ordinary experience.

I was drawn to the very beautiful cover illustrations and I thought it was a non-fiction book on nature.
Unfortunately I was wrong and it's not a book I would purchase especially not for my school library.
I didn't get the stories and found them depressing.
Maybe someone with a different sense of humor would enjoy it?

Cute stories. Some are laugh out loud. Wish it had been longer.

An interesting way of telling an assortment of silly tales. Highly engaging.

I was really pleased to be able to start this book and was looking forward to the content but sadly I think I was possibly a bit too optimistic as the content wasn't as good as I expected and can only give the book two stars. It will appeal to a lot of people, just sadly wasn't one for me.

I did not get this book at all. The short stories (blurbs really) were neither funny nor educational to me. Several seemed like they weren't finished, they just stopped. Not sure who the intended audience is, but unfortunately, I wish I had not wasted my time. The publisher provided me with a copy of this book via Netgalley.

Bees Make Honey and Butterflies Make Jam by John Offord is an amusing collection of tongue-in-cheek tales. Several of the stories turn fairy-tale tropes on their heads. One of these is the story of The Princess and the Frog. Offord’s version even makes a play on 'Anna and the King of Siam’. I laughed out loud at most of the stories, and even spit my tea at some of the cheeky absurdities.

Be forewarned- this book is short. I have an e-copy, and I am guessing that the actual hardcopy is one of those little gift books you often find close to the register in bookstores.

I'm afraid to say that I wish I hadn't wasted any time on this book. I didn't understand the concept, other than that it was a collection of short stories that are both educational and humorous. The stories were neither educational, nor humorous. I was left thinking: "What on Earth was that all about?" I searched the internet to try and shed some light on this concept and what I was missing, and all I could find was a short quote from the author's mother to say that she 'laughed out loud'. Honestly, I really don't know what this book is about.
