A little bit of romance and a big mystery! What a delightful book! The author did a great job going from past to present and engaging the readers with memorable characters. A fun twist at the end! I am looking forward to reading more books by this author.
very good i enjoyed it would recommend to freinds and family
Took this book away for a holiday read and it was perfect. An easy read but not earth shattering. I was disappointed in Alice's reaction to Harry Rolfe's death - there was none! This could have added more pathos to the story as could the deciphering of the code! This was stirring stuff but there was no mention of a shocked reaction. A good read but room for improvement.
the cover is pretty, i could not put it down, just loved it. Thank you net galley for letting me read it.
A very intriguing book. After finding a lost cook book manuscript written by her great-Aunt in her recently passed mother's possessions, Rachel decides to investigate. The manuscript inspires her to start a cookery business based on the recipes. During her investigation she finds two very different men have taken a liking to her and want to help her. Who is sincere and really wants to help her and has her best interest at heart? The book focuses on the cooking manuscript and volleys back and forth between modern and past times when the manuscript was freshly written . Secrets are discovered along the way that are really better to have been left alone. Fascinating book!
