I really loved this devotional it put a unique spin on your life and relationship with God. I can see myself recommend this to aspiring actors. Such a fun reminder for who God created us to be.
Shine will encourage you to dig deep into your relationship with God and ignite something inside you to figure out what your unique purpose is.
Shine by Allison Allen calls us to step out into God’s calling for our lives. Allison writes about her past experiences as an actress and her current experiences as a speaker. She writes about debilitating fear of being in the spotlight and overcoming it. Drawing upon many stories from her life, the author encourages the reader to drop pretenses and to step out in authenticity. I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for my honest review.

I am reviewing a copy of Shine through Revell and Netgalley:
Allison Allen was once a professional actress and now a popular Bible teacher, but she points out that we all are often playing roles and it can be exhausting. She points out that as Women of Faith we have all been invited to play a key role in the Jesus Narrative. She goes on to point out that we are not all meant to play the same role, and the stage is not one size fits all.
Shine reminds us too that there are times we need to drop the act. This book also goes on to talk about our personal Goliath's.
Allen warns us too to be careful of those negative names we give ourselves. We are warned too to watch out for what loosens our tongue. We are reminded too that we need to leave the moment to him, and not to chase the spotlight but instead we need to chase Jesus!
I give Shine five out of five stars!
Happy Reading!
