Funny, cute romance. A good rom-com for a beach read, which is exactly what I did. Fun without being fluffy. Liked the connection between the characters

Unfortunately, I have not been able to read and review this book.

After losing and replacing my broken Kindle and getting a new phone I was unable to download the title again for review as it was no longer available on Netgalley.

I’m really sorry about this and hope that it won’t affect you allowing me to read and review your titles in the future.

Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity.
Natalie.

I really enjoyed this story and thought that it was really well written.

I thought that the story was very good and the characters were very strong and well developed, I really enjoyed their interaction.

The only downside for me was at times I thought there was a little too much information at times and it detracted from the main plot so I found myself skipping a few paragraphs here and there, but it was still a really enjoyable story!

Four stars from me, highly recommended!

Georgie discovers that her fiance cheated on her just a few days before her cousin’s wedding. She had planned a trip to Vegas with him, but now she’s going on that trip alone. Georgie wanted to have some fun before the cousin’s wedding and it seems that she had a bit too much fun, because she wakes up married to a man she didn’t even know before that trip. Georgie had won a lot of money in the casino and offers Jack, her husband, a fine share if he pretends to be her fiance. Georgie’s family hasn’t seen her ex-fiance, so it was suppose to be an easy task, what could possibly go wrong?

It was a fun and light-hearted book that has good humor and relatable characters. I found Georgie and her journey a lot of fun and jack was just the perfect gentleman. I’ve read a few other books by the author and have enjoyed all of them and I can’t wait to read more, because I know I’m in for a treat. I absolutely recommend this book.

Absolutely hilarious, such a load of fun from a book that I think would make a great rom-com film.

Loved every second of this story, that you do need to stay alert while reading purely as the layers of deception do take some getting used to.

I loved Jack on so many levels, but especially the way he does his best to help Georgie from the moment he meets her. I also loved all his hints about how to spot a casino cheat, and how to cheat at cards!

Georgia manages to back herself into such a corner with her family, that its hard not to feel sorry for her a lot. She is unwittingly in competition with her cousin, and feels she has to keep up appearances. Of course once her feelings get a chance to catch up it makes things even more complicated but amusing.

This is a laugh out loud gem of a book, that is pure escapism at its best. I thoroughly enjoyed every last scene of it and would have loved the story to continue for longer as I was enjoying it that much.

Thank you to Netgalley and HQ Digital for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

Thank you to NetGalley, Harper Collins UK and the author Portia for allowing me to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

One word… hilarious!

If you are looking for a carefree book, that is very witty and funny and not your usual love story….. this is the book for you!

Perfect for a beach read and something you can pick up and put down very easily…. although I found it that funny I struggled putting it down! The bit with the stripper is literally one of the funniest things I have ever read!

Great read! Will definitely be reading more from this author again!

Loads of funny moments in this light hearted story. The characters are fun and I guess not everything can stay in Vegas... Her mom is a real treat, and the way they end up in England is fast and fun. The wedding activities are a bit over the top and who does all that?

This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. The story flowed very well and was very enjoyable. This book will keep you reading long into the night and you will not want to put this book down until you finish. This was such a great read and full of surprises. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

5☆+  Absolutely loved it!! Rom Com at it's best!!

The Accidental honeymoon had me laughing so hard I was highlighting bits so I could go back and laugh again.

It's a story of friendship, family, lust, betrayal, relationships, jealously & rivalry, drama, pretending, fun, hilarious moments, a fair amount of drink, and one disastrous wedding, not to mention kidnapping an old lady and a not so wild hen party!!

When Georgie catches her fiancé cheating she decides to go off and enjoy the holiday in Vegas she was meant to be sharing with him, before attending her cousins wedding.

It's here she meets Jack the Casino security worker who follows Georgie because thinks she is going to jump of the building!

So when he loses he's job because he was helping Georgie she sees him at the bar and offers him to dine with her.

The night gets pretty wild.... so when Georgie boards the plane to return to the UK she is shocked to find Jack jumping on the plane claiming they are married lol

Oh yeah and that she's won £20,000 lol

What a predicament.... sitting next to her is her very annoying, yet endearingly sexy husband.... she is off to attend her cousins wedding which she is dreading without her ex fiancé.
So she comes up with a plan!
Jack will get £10,000 if he plays along as her ex fiancé, I mean they are married and her family have never met her ex!
But they have an understanding once it's all over they will have the marriage annulled .

What could possibly go wrong!!!!!

Poor Georgie she is dreading the wedding, she is always being compared to her very successful cousin.
Everything she says and does is scrutinised by her Aunt and family.
So she can't possibly attend without her fiancé.

Georgie was my favourite character, I could sympathise with her.
Her predicament was so real, she ruled her emotions with her head and heart. Not always making the right choices.
She could do no right, everything she tried to do backfired on her.
She was always thinking of others but at the same time she was learning alot about herself.

Jack is perfect....he's a gentleman, gorgeous, everybody loves him, he oozes Charm and charisma.
What's not to love.
He was also my favourite character.
Jack supported Georgie 100% he always had her back. He had me laughing out loud. Especially when he wore a skirt to bed as he had no clothes lol
Jack was an interesting character, he had no family, and had never had or wanted a serious relationship. I really enjoyed learning about he's story.

In fact there wasn't one character I didn't like.. well maybe Georgie's Aunt as she was awfull to Georgie.
Even Dougie grew on me ( Georgie's cousins hubby to be) he was a spoilt rich kid who wanted for nothing and didn't like losing.

I especially loved the bond between Georgie and her two brothers Olly and Jacob. I loved watching Jacob grow and become confident thanks to Georgie and Olly.

Portia is fast becoming one of my favourite Authors.
She always has great relatable characters, who you grow to love. Fantastic storylines and plenty of humour, romance and friendship.

The Accidental honeymoon is a book I will be reading again and again and I'll be recommending it too all my friend and family.
It's the perfect summer read.
It's feel good, warm and made me laugh.
Perfect for readers who love Chick Lit,  Rom Com and Romance.

I can't wait for the next book

Want to freak out people around you? Take this book and go to a fairly crowded pub or café. Why? The humor will have you laughing out loud to the point people will think you have lost your mind. I did not want to put this book down as it’s the perfect thing to read when you’re feeling a bit down because you won’t be for long.

Macintosh did a great job writing this fun, light-hearted story full of interesting characters. It has everything you could want in a great summer novel from friendship to romance to everything in between. I loved the mix of cultures and the sweet fish out water theme she used to bring out different layers in her characters as they had to adjust to different countries, cultures and lifestyles. She just did  a great job of pulling it all together without resorting to stereotypes.

It was definitely a new twist on the age old “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas” especially when it doesn’t!

The Accidental Honeymoon was a great light read. It had me chuckling at times and I did not want to put it down. We meet Georgie who after finding out her fiancé has been cheating on her goes to Vegas as planned on route to a family wedding back in the UK however what happens when we wakes up the next morning..... she finds out she got married to the handsome Jack. Oops. Jack agrees to attend the family wedding with her and pretend to be her fiancé, that's okay nothing will go wrong...... or will it?
A great enjoyable read perfect for lazing by the pool.

The opening to the story is pretty funny although not so much for Georgie but it is a great start and showcases how funny Portia MacIntosh's writing can be. Georgie is complicated and there were times when I was completely on her side and then others where the situation she created caused problems and she was I guess less likeable. This definitely made her more real for me as everyone has flaws. The main point about her character for me though is that she was coming from a good place. She was trying to make her cousins wedding go without a hitch. Best laid plans though I guess never work out!

The story moves pretty quickly and I think Georgie's personality helps to make this book so entertaining. It's pretty difficult to pick my favourite bits of this book out although when Georgie and Jack get to her parents house it is pretty funny! It's always awkward meeting the parents and this was a great example. I was smiling nearly all the whole way through and laughing too in parts although I'm not sure reading the book on the way to work was the best idea. Trying to hold my laughter in is quite hard on a packed bus! I'm pretty sure I got some funny looks, oops!

It's a story about family at its heart that was pretty lovely especially Ollie and Georgie. It is also about finding the real you when you have seemingly lost sight of yourself. It's the kind of book you want to chat to your friends about talking about the funny parts and how I kind of had a crush on Jack! I also loved the sub plot with Betty, she was wonderful! Even though I kinda knew where it was headed it was still a perfect addition to the fun nature of the story.

Feel good and ever so funny!

With thanks to Love Reading Romance, HQDigital & Netgalley for my copy. This is my honest and unbiased opinion.

Delightfully romantic, lighthearted and charmingly entertaining!

This is an exceptionally humourous tale about the outgoing, spontaneous Georgie who suddenly finds herself heading to a family wedding with not only a fake fiancé but an unexpected groom.

The prose is playful and lively. The characters, especially Jack, are dishy, kind and easygoing. And the plot is quick-witted, funny and full of quirky mishaps, awkward moments, tricky situations, delicious chemistry, and the predictable but mandatory happy ever after we all love.

I have to admit that there’s just something about Portia’s novels that keep me coming back for more. They truly are the perfect rom-com with the right amount of laughs, appealing storylines, and endearing characters.

Thank you to Portia MacIntosh & HQ Digital for providing me with a copy in exchange for an honest review.

This was my first book from Portia Mackintosh but it won't be the last. Laugh out loud in places but then you think how can someone be as unlucky as Georgie. She finds out her fiance is cheating on her and goes to Las Vegas where she ends up married to someone she'd just met. She then decides to keep stay married until she's been to a family wedding. It sometimes gets very complicated with all the deceptions but ends up well.

Thanks so much to Netgalley and HQ Digital for providing me with a copy of this book.

I loved this story. I literally finished it in two sittings. It was a sweet, funny warm story. I loved Georgie and her crazy but loving family. I loved Jack and his awesome sense of humour, not to mention his unwavering support for Georgie whenever she needed it.

This book had me laughing out loud several times and then sighing with contentment in the end. A truly sweet uplifting story.

I am a now a new fan of this wonderful author.
