What a thriller!!! A real page turner!!! I long for the type of book that it is impossible to put down and I found that in NO EXIT by Taylor Adams. Heart wrenching in that you are rooting for the protagonist as she navigates the "crazies" at a rest stop, while stranded during a blizzard. Who can she trust?

Surprises are around every corner. I was in it 100%, going along for the ride!!!

This is my first book by this author, but definitely not my last.

Darby Thorne, a college student receives  a phone call that her mother had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Hoping to reach Utah before the surgery Darby rushes off but hits a  blizzard on the way home.Seeking shelter from the storm inside a rest area she meets other strangers in the same situation. At the advice of one of the travelers Darby tries to go back outside to find cell service to check but when passing a van Darby thinks she sees a child  in a dog crate with duct tape on her mouth. The only thing she knows for sure is that one of the people inside is a kidnapper and she can trust no one .

No Exit by Taylor Adams is a fast moving non stop action packed thriller. It’a a well written thriller which takes you on a roller coaster ride that does not let up till the end . An engrossing entertaining read that I found difficult to put down once started

I wish to thank  Joffee Books & NetGalley for providing an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest and fair review.

So I got to read this book back in the summer and thought it was such a great book. All the twists and turns of a thriller with some horror aspects. I definitely recommend going out and getting this one.

Suppose you see what you thought was a kidnapped child, what would you do? Just watch what Darby has up her sleeve.

Finally got around to reading this book after many stops and starts. It was one of those books that didn't grip me as i feel it should have done. It was what i call an ok read.

Well, I just finished reading this one, after a two day read-a-thon. It was scary, suspenseful, and even humorous, at times. The heroine, Darby, was believable and likable. She was an unassuming rescuer of an innocent child. The feeling of foreboding and evil lurking just around the corner was present throughout the book, right up until the ending. I will not disclose the plot of the story, as there were so many twists and turns, that one must just read the book, with no pre-information about anyone.

At times, I thought that the story was wrapping up and then, the author threw another curve into the book. Towards the end, there were some tear jerking moments and I held my breath as I read the last few pages. I would definitely read more from the author. I would purchase the book for anyone who enjoyed a thrilling and scary read.

I was gripped from the very start and that tension just never waivered. Thrilling and exciting with a clever plot so well thought out you couldn't find anything to criticise. The characters seemed real and had a consistency that controlled the plot rather than the other way around as sometimes happens when there is so much going on.
Don't read if you want to simply relax because the action is intense and at times very brutal but always appropriate.
I loved it!

Just imagine that you are heading home as fast as you can on an icy road during a snow storm after receiving a message that your parent has a life-threatening illness. Then, imagine that you get stuck at a rest stop and can't go any further because the highway is closed down because of the weather. This is the premise of Taylor Adam's book NO EXIT. It was believable and terrifying because at the rest stop Darby Thorne meets four other travelers. What she doesn't know until she takes a walk outside to get a phone signal is that one of the vehicles has a child in a cage inside it. Now Darby, a college student who has never done anything much that would get any recognition has to call on every resource that she has to try to save a child that she doesn't know from a danger that is beyond belief. The evil is real; the villains are going to fulfill their purpose no matter what and Darby is in the way. The book draws you in and makes you want to keep reading to find out if Darby and the little girl survive or against all odds. There is so much action that it is hard to keep up with it at times; just when you think that nothing else can happen to Darby, it does. Keep reading to the end...it will surprise you, too. Pure evil but a good book..

I would never have thought that a rest stop would be a good place for a suspenseful, somewhat terrifying scene. This book has a good dose of suspense, suspicion, enemies at every turn and a good ending. I am a sucker for a happy ending even if it is a horror book. A happy ending is a must and this book gave that and more. I will read more from Taylor Adams for sure!

My god, this book is AMAZING! It literally grabs you from the first few pages and does not let up until the last. It is so atmospheric and tense and claustrophobic; the creepy, snowed-in rest stop and the howling weather were perfectly described. The story is full of twists and turns and shocks and action and I read it in a little over a day. And oh my god, the suspense! I read most of the book holding my breath and with a lump of anxiety in the pit of my stomach (in a good way!) This is a brilliant, exciting roller coaster of a story and I could totally picture Kate Mara kicking some serious ass as Darby in a film version.

Thank you to NetGalley and Joffe Books for the ARC of No Exit.

What a wild, wicked ride, this book.
Who would've guessed a full-length novel entirely set on a rest stop could be that thrilling, especially considering the bad guy reveals himself relatively early into the book?

Sure, there wasn't much of an elaborate plot, Adams went totally over the top with the "NOOOOOO" moments, the protagonist was stupid and kept making the dumbest decisions, and I often felt like I was reading the script of a teen slasher horror movie where, no matter how fast you are, the villain always catches up to you.
But still, I had such an amazing time reading this. I bit my nails off and got about three and a half hours of sleep last night because I just couldn't put it down.
I still loved Darby and her fucking everything up, and I particularly adored that sadistic, sociopath of a villain.

This was a fascinating mindfuck; unexpected twists and chilling revelations lurking around every corner, and somehow, in between all that action, tension and gore, Adams even managed to throw in some dry humor.
Hats off!

What an amazing read. I was hooked right from the start it continued to twist and turn throughout the story with such suspense I literally had to put the book down and have a break. Every chapter was fast paced leaving you gasping wanting more and continued to the very last page..

The characters were so well drawn and compelling that you were immediately drawn into this snowbound rest stop in the USA.

I want to read more of this author she has a real talent and this book will fly off the shelves.
