This little sampler of the cookbook clearly shows that it seems to be a beautiful book -clear and colourful pictures, little stories and nicely written recipes that seems to be a great mixture of different dishes and offer a nice mixture to prepare a good number of different meals.
I am certainly interested in looking and very possible getting this cookbook simply from this little sampler!
Highly recommending flipping through this beauty!

Only reading a sampler of the first 17 pages has now made me desire the cookbook. When I saw the title I thought "oh it would just be the usual food" and how wrong I was. The first few pages explain Nadiya's story of how she grew up and what British food means to her. She explains very clearly the many cultures that occupy this country and where her recipes have come from. Her writing was a wonderful start to this book.
There are only two recipes but both are not the usual ones as Nadiya has added her twist to s standard dish. I am now about to order this book from Amazon so that I will be able to browse all her recipes and I hope that they all have pictures with them as that has made the first two so appealing. I am also interested in her other books as well as she has a natural writing style as well as an interesting cuisine with lovely presentation and after all what one sees of a dish at the start sticks in the mind and so appearance is very important.Well done Nadiya for translating British food for all British people

This may only be a sample of the actual book, but it looks utterly divine. I think the images are fantastic. I haven't tried the recipes yet. I loved Nadiya on the Great British Bake Off and hope she does well with this new book.

I downloaded a sample from NetGalley of the new cookbook by Nadiya Hussain, Nadiya's British Food Adventure and decided that the perfect way to celebrate the one year anniversary of my blog was to post something completely different than usual and do a mini review of the book as well as trying one of the recipes! Now, there's a reason that I'm a book blogger and not a baker, so you'll have to excuse my attempt as it's definitely not Great British Bake Off standard!
Although the sampler is only a few pages, it manages to really get across the essence of Nadiya and also the food in the recipe book. It's full of beautiful smiley photographs and mouth watering food and the layout is extremely aesthetically pleasing. The introduction from Nadiya is lovely, as are the notes at the top of the recipes which tell the story behind them. I really felt Nadiya's motivation of 'family and food, flavour and fun' coming through.
Now for my attempt at the recipe! There were two to choose from in the sampler, but I know my limits, so I decided on the Cheese Scones with Chive Butter. The recipe was easy to follow and I was pleasantly surprised with how my attempt turned out! While they don't look as beautiful as Nadiya's, they tasted absolutely delicious and were really easy to make!
From the sampler, I'd give Nadiya's British Food Adventure 5 out of 5! I'm definitely going to buy the complete book because I loved it!

This is a great sampler, giving an indication of all the delicious recipes from Nadiya. I have a lifestyle, food and travel blog, so I think I will try out some of these great recipes in the future.

Nadiya captured the love of the nation's bakers during The Great British Bake Off and it was a triumph when she won! She is such an enthusiastic cook that she has certainly encouraged me to try new and different recipes. This is a fabulous selection of delicious recipes produced in true Nadiya style, with my favourite being the amazing Eton Mess Cheesecake. Just...yum :)

This book is interesting and colourful. The recipes are easy to follow and cover the many tastes found in Britain today both the traditional (with a twist) and the more recent cuisine.

This cookbook looks so stunning! I can't imagine anyone who wouldn't want something this beautiful as a present. I tried one of the recipes and it was super quick yet delicious. Even Nadiya herself liked the picture I posted on Twitter!
My detailed review can be found on my tumblr blog.
Thank you for the chance to read the sample!

Having read just a sample of this book, I already know I will buy it once it's released. I love how Nadiya weaves stories into what is essentially a cookery book, but is turned into so much more than that as it takes you around the UK and beyond on a culinary journey. Love it!

I love Nadiya and followed her progress avidly on 'The Great British Bake off'. I was really excited to get a look at a sample of what is in this new book as I know that Nadiya is an innovative baker so her cooking should be just as great. What I have seen of the book looks great and I look forward to seeing all of her new recipes.

Unfortunately I only had access to a sample of this cookery book, but from that extract alone I can see that this is an absolutely brilliant book. The imagery is stunning, combining flat-lay photos of the completed recipes, alongside some personal photos of Nadiya as well as photos of her mid-action making the recipes. The book is packed full of photos, which really sets this apart from a lot of traditional recipe books. The recipes themselves are laid out well and very easy to read, thanks to the contrasting text colours to differentiate the varying elements of the recipes. All in all, this is a 5-star recipe book for anyone from the most basic cook to the hobbyist.

Having read this sampler I straight away went online and purchased it. Nadiya's introduction is warm, evocative and well written and I can't wait to try some of the recipes.

After watching the accompanying programme to this recipe book I really wanted to make the cheese scones (who doesn't love them) and they were great and quick to make also. I have to go and buy this book and work my way through these recipes.

In 2015 Nadiya became a household name when she won Great British Bake Off. Yes she could bake but more importantly her warm personality shone through. Nowadays I often spot her on national television cooking for daytime tv shows so it was with true delight that I've started watching her very own cookery show featuring the producers of so many much loved staple British foods. If like me you enjoy her relaxed approach and effervescent manner then rest assured it's still present in her cookbook. Yes there are recipes but most of all there's the voice of Nadiya as she experiments and experiences what it truly is to be British today.
This review is based on a sneak peak I received from Netgalley but as I follow her show I can reassure other would be cooks that her recipes are both inventive and imaginative. Best part of all is they look like they really taste good and I for one will definitely buying the full length book
This voluntary take is of a copy I requested from Netgalley and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair

I'm a big fan of Nadiya, she’s done some amazing things since she was on The Great British Bake Off. Although I had no intention of buying her new cookbook I'll admit that I have now ordered the book!

I got to read the sampler which includes two recipes, Cheese Scones with chive butter and an Eton mess cheesecake.

I'm sure you can imagine that I was immediately drawn to the Eton mess cheesecake! The recipe although long with a lot of steps is very detailed and easy to follow and looking at the end product is definitely worth the effort.

There are seven different sections to the book which include
Breakfast and Brunch
For the love of lunch
Midweek meals
Friends over
Party Time
Pudding
Something Special

I can't wait to receive my copy of the book now as I'm very interested in the section on lunch, party time and something special.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for a sampler of the book in exchange for an honest review.

Beautiful pictures, very good looking sample of a book. The recipes were just that bit interesting so would make me probably buy the collection for some new ideas. Nice to have Nadiya's twist on British classics.

I've only received a sampler of this book and tried one of the two recipes that were included. The scones were delicious and I really enjoyed Nadiya on The Great British Bake Off, so I'll keep an eye open for the entire book in stores.
