Beautiful book. Perfect gift for cooks & lovers of Great British Bake Off or fans of Nadiya.
I loved Nadiya on the Bake Off, willing her to win and watching her grow every week. I have watched the programmes she has made, enjoying her ease and warm personality. The book is no different, her lovely personality shines through in the introduction. Reading about her childhood and understanding her take on what makes Britain, Britain was a lovely way to start the book.
It is well presented with excellent photography and style. The recipes I have seen look easy to follow and are inventive takes on the classics. I will be purchasing this book.
Great sample and can't wait to purchase the book to try more of the recipes.
My thanks to the publisher for a sampler of this book via Netgalley.
I was interested to learn about Nadyia's early years in her well written introduction. It's fascinating to see a very different perspective on what constitutes British cuisine and Nadiya's cultural influences certainly add a new dimension to some tradional dishes. The photographs are outstanding and really bring the recipes to vibrant life. I've often made cheese scones, but never thought to complement them with something as simple as chive butter. The recipes are well set out and there's nothing complicated, so it would be good for a novice cook. It's set out to cover different meals; breakfast/brunch, suppers, entertaining, main meals etc.
This is a book to savour and although the electronic version is beautiful and works well on a tablet, I believe a hard copy is the best way to enjoy it. A great addition for anyone interested in good home cooking.
I received a sample of this book and what I've seen looked fantastic! Great recipes, lovely layout!
Thanks for the sampler, the book seems pretty good and the recipes clear, I would definitely buy it in full
I received a sampler of this book and my mouth watered just reading it, I went out and bought the book and was in no way disappointed with it.
I had acces to the first 17 pages. Nadiya famous scones recipe is included
A beautifully laid out cookery book. I prefer my recipes to come with a photograph of what the food is supposed to look like, and the pictures in this book do not disappoint. The recipes are clearly laid out and easy to follow. I cannot wait to test some of them out. I have never bought one of Nadiya's cookery books before, but having seen this one, I am tempted to investigate the others further.
Just as you would expect, this is a heartwarming cook book aimed at everybody. Nicely laid out with easy to follow instructions. Recommended for all budding cooks and seasoned chefs alike.
The sample has really given me the taste of wanting to buy this whole book and try all the recipes.
After reviewing the sample we bought the book, did not see the TV series but the recipies are so amazing. Would have liked more detail on the methods for meranges etc but love the style and layout as well as the recipies.
A great book with some really great reviews. Great images and a lovely variety of different foods.
Lots of lovely recipes, Well illustrated. Made me want to start cooking straight away.
I struggled to down load this sampler unfortunately as i was really looking forward to reading some interesting recipes. I have seen Nadiya on TV and really like her personality and approach.
Only negative, she uses a lot of sugar and fats in her recipes, i would appreciate more non meat and healthy recipes
Having seen just a small sample of this book I have to say I was very impressed. Clear, easy to follow recipes and lovely pictures to accompany the recipes and the TV series.
Was unable to download sampler, but have now had a chance to see it, very promising.
I was provided with the Sampler from NetGalley
I think it hard to review a sampler of a cookbook , however this did come with 2 recipes and you kind of get a feel of the direction of the cookbook.
What I do like about the book is the aesthetic of it , it has gorgeous pictures that entice you to cook the recipes and the end product is presented in a detectable way .
The recipes themselves are straight forward and uncomplicated which I feel would appeal to a novice cook/baker.
Overall I feel like it would be a beautiful addition to anyone's kitchen.
I can not write a true review being that this was a sampler. It only had the story of her life and 2 or 3 recipes. It seems that it would be a great cookbook from what I did see.
