Can’t wait for the full version. Just not a school library book

Great recipes with good instructions and easy to follow. Everything I've made so far has been delicious.

Having heard of this book through the BBC television show and having known that Nadiya won the great British bake off, i was intrigued to take a look. The introduction is charming, full of her character and the recipes appear easy to follow and accompanying pictures look great.

It looks like a great book to read both for the delicious recipes and the great pictures, but also for the great food stories!

Lovely sampler great ideas, definatley be one to be purchased for the book shelf

Thank you for allowing me a sampler of this book. It took a while for me to review as I had difficulty with the format. However, it looks to be a great book to go along with the tv series. You get a real feel of Nadias heritage and love for cooking. Some of the recipies aren't for me but they are set out well and look easy to follow. I may even try to make something from here.... out of my comfort zone!

I really liked this sampler from Nadiya Hussain's new cook book. I love the tone of her writing and the recipes in the sampler that I had were enticing and seemed achievable. I'll be looking out for the actual book in the shops to have a proper look.

A great companion to her new tv show. Tried a few recipes and they came out great. Book is well put together and presented

I have given this a 3 star as I couldn't judge what the book was like because unfortunately i could not get it to download onto my IPad or my Kindle.

A nice sampler of Nadiya's yummy cooking - i shall be trying most of these recipes and will post how i got on!

The main thing which stood out for me about this sampler was the very clean and crisp photography, I think this really helps in a recipe book and also makes me much more likely to try cooking the dishes! The instructions for the two recipes included are clear and concise and Nadia's introduction makes me want to see what other recipes have been included in the full version.

I love Nadia she is so down to earth and has a no nonsense attitude and this comes across in this lovely book. I enjoyed the series that went with this book. The recipes in here all look delicious and I will be trying a few when I buy the book.

This sample is far too short to form a judgement. I have never watched the TV programme so wasn't sure what to expect. I then made the mistake of buying the book (it as being offered very cheaply via the book service at work). I tried several recipes bit all had problems (the bean stew was the worst - watery & tasteless until I did a few tweaks of my own). Overall the tweaks to British standards that Nadiya offered were either not good to eat or too obvious to require a recipe. There are so many much better cookery books out there that don't get the Bake Off hype that this one gets and doesn't deserve.

I'm glad to have had the opportunity to sample and review this book. Not being a Bakeoff fan I am interested and surprised that I loved the sampler. Interesting, fresh ideas, beautifully presented. This is a perfect gift for Bake fans, or anyone looking for a new twist on food by a popular cook.

It's rather obvious that she would leap to publish books but don't let that put you off. As well as making a birthday cake the the Queen, she can really cook?

This sampler did not encourage me to buy this cookery book. I did watch the TV series but did not find the recipes so inspiring that I would want to buy this to add to my extensive collection of cookery books

As Nadiya says, British food today is a melting pot of cuisines from different cultures. This book reflects that, with twists to classic British dishes and more modern favourites. The book ties in with Nadiya’s latest TV series, so includes several of the dishes featured on the show. You’ll find recipes such as Minted Lamb and Apple Pasties, Mango and Passionfruit Jam Roly Poly and Masala Eggy Bread. Recipes are simple to follow, with attractive photographs and engaging introductions.

So this is a great recipe book! It really really is! But that's not the reason why it gets 5 stars. There are many good cook books out there. Some make cooking fun and others make it way too complicated. Nadiya Hussain made it personal. She let us take a long look at her personal life and family dynamics, giving us a great explanation behind what inspires her and her culinary endeavors. That was so amazing!
When it comes to aesthetics, I was pleasantly surprised. The photographs are made to draw you in, creating a level of familiarity between you and Nadiya. The food looks scrumptious (obviously) and the recipes are realistic. Realistic, as in easy to follow for the average cook. You really do not need to be advanced in the culinary arts to be able to make her cheese scones with chive butter (which I will try to prepare this week!). I will be purchasing the hard back and potentially be investing in more Nadiya books!
