Who doesn't love Nadiya and her kind and funny personality! The recipes are down to earth but with a twist and sound delicious. It's the best kind of comfort food. The photographs make this already great cookbook perfect.
Lovely book and pictures. Nadia's warmth shines through and I'd be interested in seeing the whole book. Based on the few recipes that I've seen I would buy it as a gift for a friend.
A wonderful book of modern twists to British food. Her natural and relaxed demeanour shines through making it an easy book to read and encourages you to attempt the recipes.
Nicely done, especially the introduction in the sample, seems as palpable as the photography that accentuates colors. The recipes seem nicely put, especially descriptive and simplified.
Unable to download the file, despite numerous attempts.
I received a sampler from NetGalley for a unbiased and voluntary review and from what I received, this book is worthy of buying. Nadiya brings heart and soul to her cookbook. She tells a story, peppered with amazing and colorful pictures, of her journey and discovery of foods outside o the food of her childhood. She bought me along with her as she talked about growing up with her native foods of "curry and pink custard and the switch between hands an cutlery." About food and the kitchen being the center of family togetherness. The couple of recipes I was able to see in the sampler I received looked delicious and I definitely would try making them. I wished I had more of the book to read and review, but this is definitely a cookbook worth buying and trying.
I only received a preview of this book from the Publishers but after reading that I have asked my husband to get me the full book for Christmas and I can't wait to get started on the receipes!! The books is bright, brilliantly laid out and the receipes are easy to follow and the images used are mouthwatering - 5 stars and the cheese scones receipe is to die for - yummy!!!
Nadiya is a fantastic writer and cook. I was so excited when I heard she was releasing this book and it did not disappoint.
A tasty excerpt of dishes to try - worth trying if you feel the need to 'update' your evening meals. Great for families and couples alike.
Tried to download this on a number of devices and had no luck - therefore couldn't review
Nadiya has such a lovely voice, it was a pleasure to read this sampler. I'm familiar with her baking from television and while I haven't been able to try out the two recipes featured here, I'm confident that her book will be filled with delicious recipes that anyone can enjoy.
You need to change your format if you want me to review this book
Couldn't open the link so was unable to review. Loving the current to series though so I'm sure the book is just as good...
Some nice recipes look forward to trying out Eton Mess Cheesecake.
I have since received the book as a gift and what a lovely gift it is Nadiya has made cooking a stress free pleasure Wow that's all I can say I have tried a couple of the recipes it's fair to say need to work on presentation. I do make A lot of curries from scratch so presentation not bad still need some work tho. My next recipe I will try from Nadiyas collection is Easy Chicken Tikka Masala. I honestly don't know why I haven't thought of this? it makes so much sense first time I made an authentic Indian curry I remember the thought crossed my mind, it will literally cut out hours off cooking time I am so looking forward to making this will work on presentation and hopefully post a photo in next few days of my culinary skills. Just to show how easy Nadiya has made this recipe.
Some delicious looking recipes that I have urged me to buy the book just so that I can drool over them and attempt to make them for myself
A brilliant sampler leading to a brilliant cook book. I made her cheese scones today, my first attempt. They are very good. My cook book looks like a porcupine with all the little white bookmarks.
Unfortunately it is very hard to review a book from two recipes in a sampler, so most of my thoughts are caught up with Naydia"s reputation both in the Great British Bake Off, where she was brilliant and won the series, and her other achievements.
Back to the sampler for the book - the two recipes, they look easy, well written, but nothing new. Her written style is interesting and I would like to read more
The sample recipes in this ‘taster’ are very tempting – Eton mess cheesecake sounds particularly good – and the photography is lovely, always lit up by Nadiya’s smile. In the introduction, which is written with real warmth, Nadiya’s personality really comes through strongly as she talks about what it means to be British, and the culinary collision that is British food. This is a perfect companion to the TV series of the same name and an excellent recipe book in its own right.
Love this sample. It is the essence of Nadiya, her personality and infectious enthusiasm shines through. Absolutely loving the accompanying TV series. Looking forward to buying the book for myself. Thanks for the sample.
