I love Nadiya from the Great British Bake Off. This sample has wonderful photos and the recipes are easy to follow once you convert the metric system to imperial system. I made one of the two recipes that were given with the sample book, and the cheese scones are amazing. I would love the receive the full book to try out more recipes.

A very nice sampler showing just how the full book will be set out. The recipes it features look amazing.

A delightful sampler into the recipes and meals created by Nadia, one of the brightest and most watchable of the new TV chefs/bakers.
Delicious recipes which my wife and I have already tried a few. Well, my wife has spent time in the kitchen following the recipes, I've just eaten them!

These recipes are great, easy to do and great tastes.
Writing is nice too.

Thank you for sharing this sampler, however, I don't feel that I can reasonably share a review having only seen two recipes. Admittedly, they look delicious, but it would be unfair to judge the book on just these.
For this reason I shall not be spreading my review on my usual sites.
Hopefully I shall have the opportunity to view the book in its entirety at some time in the future and then I can submit a reasoned review.

Nadiya Hussain won the 2015 Great British Bake Off and now has her own BBC2 cookery series. Travelling around the U.K she gets to visit some of the best growers and producers of British food, as well as its new pioneers.
Inspired by her journey, this accompanying cookery book includes over 120 recipes! With a mix of local British ingredients and with a nudge to her Bangladeshi roots, the book encapsulates Modern Day 21st century Britain and the fusion of classic "British" meals with the influence of some of Nadiya's favourite flavours and ingredients.
The sampler only includes two recipes - but they both sound utterly divine!
Cheese Scones with Chive Butter and Eton Mess Cheesecake - with meringue kisses and dehydrated strawberries to jazz up the top. I've only seen one episode of Nadiya's TV series and the Eton Mess featured on that episode, it looked delicious and slightly more out of the norm than a regular Eton Mess.
The recipes in the book are well laid out, in a clear, concise and easy to follow format. Suitable for even novice cooks such as me! There is a short introduction to each recipe from Nadiya, as to what each recipe means to her and when she discovered each one.
The layout of each recipe takes the same format of -
Prep and cook time
How many people it serves
List of Ingredients
Step by step method - which is what I look for in cookery books
Each recipe in the sampler is also accompanied by a yummy looking picture. So I can't say whether pictures are included with the other 118 recipes in the book.
The book is divided into sections, making it super easy to find a recipe to suit every occasion - whether a snack, a formal dinner or party food.
Introduction from Nadiya
Breakfast and Brunch
For the Love of Lunch
Midweek Meals
Friends Over
Party Time
Pudding
Something Special

Thanks
Some of the other recipes include Masala Eggy Bread, Spiced Bean and Banger Stew, Ploughman's Cheese and Pickle Tart, Jerk Haddock with Jollof Rice, Lamb Bhuna with Garlic Naan, Star Anise Chicken Wings with Chunky Chips and Rosemary Banoffee Pie. They are all motivated and dedicated to her love of family and friends and food, flavour and fun.
I enjoy cookery books with a twist, I also love Bangladeshi/Indian food. Nadiya's baking style on Bake Off was so inventive and clever, I think I will add this book to my Christmas wish list as the recipes and flavours Nadiya uses are right up my street and suit my tastes perfectly.
Huge thanks to NetGalley and Penguin UK - Michael Joseph, for the opportunity to read this sampler in return for an honest and unbiased review.

A great preview of interesting recipes from a chef I wasn't familiar with! The couple of recipes included in the sampler looked amazing (as well as Nadiya's personal history) and gave me a fantastic idea for creating striped meringues - makes me want to read the entire book for sure!

A sample of this book as been provided by the author/ publisher via Netgalley with no obligation to provide a review.
In the introduction, Nadiya talked about what food meant to her growing up and thereafter identified the role played by various family members. Whilst our personal stories are different, the stories resonated with me because growing up food and meal times was an integral part of my family life.
Prior to receiving the sampler copy of this book, I watched an episode of Nadiya's new series, similarly titled, as a result of which I resolved to buy the book prior.
The sampler edition contains 2 recipes, one with a picture and the other without. The recipes are easy to follow and I look forward to trying both out.

The small sample I downloaded definitely whetted my appetite to read more of Nadiya's recipe book.
The opening section seemed more memoir than recipe book, but I enjoyed learning more about Nadiyah, and it established her friendly, personable voice.
The two recipes included looked great, and presented a twist on ordinary classics. The pictures were great and the actual recipes clear and more engaging than is often the case.

I really liked the recipes in this book. Have tried a few and they are very easy and well thought out. Will purchase this for my ever increasing cookery book library.

I like her easy manner and her different take on recognisable dish. Refreshing and interesting.

I have loved following Nadiya's journey and this book that goes with the new TV series is just another part of that. Fantastic British recipes, often with a little twist, but that is what makes British food so great, throughout history we have taken what others are doing and we have tweaked it.

Nadiya Hussain has been taken to the hearts of Britain following her win on 'The Great British Bake Off' and it is easy to see why. She has a very warm and friendly approach to writing which seems to mirror her on screen personality and her food is simplicity itself. Written to accompany the TV series of the same name this is a collection of simple recipes designed to make the most of quality ingredients. Some criticism has been levelled that the recipes are too simple, some of them are but that never stopped Delia Smith! There is nothing worse that a book which shows a picture of a stunning dish which then demands a huge list of ingredients which are a) expensive and b) difficult to get hold of. I particularly like the spicy twists she makes on some classics.
The whole point of this book is about accessibility, Nadiya's whole concept is to be the woman next door, an ordinary housewife with a talent for cooking and an infectious and enthusiastic personality. The photography is stunning and the book is like a warm friendly hug.

5☆ Scrumptious recipies
This was a sampler of Nadiya's new cook book and Wow I'm excited.
The photographs were beautifully added and the accompanying food photographs were mouth wateringly good!
Clear concise instructions and clear ingredients listed.
My only criticism was that lots of people myself included like to see Oz and g measurements. But that is just a personal choice.
Recipes included in the sample were....
1) Cheese Scones with Chive Butter
2) Eton Mess Cheesecake
Which actual made my tummy grumble!
I am very very excited about Nadiya's new book. I love watching her bake and thought she was amazing on bake off!
Will Definetly be looking to get this book to add to my ever growing collection of baking/cook books!
Highly recommend to baking and cooking enthusiasts whatever your skill level.

I'm a big fan of Nadiya's cookbook and the TV series it supports.. Nadiya's presentation both written and spoken are so easy and reflect her personality. The recipes I have seen are easy to follow and although I haven't yet tried I am sure that they will 'work'. The photography makes the recipes very appetising. I look forward to seeing the whole book and think it'll be on my wish list for birthday and Christmas ideas and will probably end up buying it for my daughter.
I have now been given the cookbook and it does not disappoint and has inspired me to try several recipes and I can vouch that they do 'work'. The narrative introducing each recipe is true Nadiya, with little twists and alternative ingredients on the way. The photography is stunning with pictures taken from her series plus finished dishes. The forward gives an insight into Nadiya's background and her journey into the culinary world. I love looking through recipe books and this one is pure joy to read and makes one rethink about unconventional combinations to create lovely dishes. Certainly has my full endorsement and I will definitely be buying further copies as presents this Christmas amongst my foodie friends and family

This sampler attracted me initially because I was a big fan of Nadiya throughout her season of Great British Bake Off. Her inventive and family-inspired recipes always excited me. This sampler gave me a taste of what the full cookbook might be like, and it definitely didn't disappoint! I can't wait to get my hands on a copy of it. .
