Great read. The author wrote a story that was interesting and moved at a pace that kept me engaged. The characters were easy to invest in.

This was a 4 star read for me until about 80% through. The ending reduced it to 2.5 stars. It was just too contrived and fairy-tale for me. Other reviewers haven't thought so, so please don't let my cynicism get in your way.

The premise promised more than was delivered. The characters were interesting and mostly believable, if a bit underdeveloped. The story kept flipping from present to past, but that wasn't too distracting. Not really my cup of tea.
