This is the third book in an on going series. Fortunately for me it can be read as a standalone.

I read this back in 2017, but had to reread it because I have been battling with my health and finally now I can review it.

This book is about Sasha a fire fighter, and Abbey a wealthy woman but wants to be known for herself and not money so she changes her last name. They meet at a wedding and yes, sparks fly. The book is rather steamy. I can't compare this one to the other books because I don't think I've read them.

The only thing I was disappointed in was that I saw it coming. Yeah, you're going to have to read it to find out. But yes, the other shoe does drop. But you're waiting for it. Kind of takes away from the story because you are just waiting.

Riley is a good story and I did enjoy the book.

Enjoy!

The third in Riley's match series brings together two of the characters who were unsuccessful matches in Unlikely Match. Samantha is at it again - this time setting up the sexy firefighter and button down accountant. Like the others in this series, this is a fun romance read with engaging characters that is different enough from the others that it doesn't feel like a carbon copy. I really liked both the main characters - although Abby's insecurity over whether someone would love her in spite of her wealth irked me a bit (Wasn't it Marilyn Monroe's line that "Its just as easy to fall in love with a rich man as a poor man"). But I really loved Abby's mother, so I'll let my irk go. Sasha and Abby seem well matched - once the miscommunication and mandatory break up was over with and you can't help but smile at the end of the book. A cute, funny and romantic read.

This is my favourite book in the Perfect Match series. It was a great addition to the series with plenty of sexual tension and sparks flying in abundance. The writing was engaging and held my attention to the end. You don't need to read the previous books in the series to be able to enjoy this - it can be read as a standalone.

This is the first book that I read from series. It was good not so much drama. The mothers are lovable.
Both MCs are likable and attractive. 4star

Not having read 'book 1' I wasn't sure if I would be missing anything. As the novel went on I was introduced to characters from the first book and didn't seem to lack anything which is a good thing.
The two main characters in this novel didn't have enough chemistry for me and the story seemed very contrived. Not very enjoyable at all

An honest review thanks to NetGalley. I have read the previous two books in this series, but you do not have to before reading Strike a Match. The characters are in the book, and I love this series so I would recommend it, but you do not have to. This was an awesome book, maybe even my favorite of the series. Sasha was amazing and having her so involved in her family and background gave her the perfect soft edge. This was an outstanding romance; you will not be able to put it down.

Steamy hot! Another great match in the series! Loved the characters and the story! Maybe there will be another match maker story in the future. I could see Dianna needing a love match (tennis anyone?). Just a thought!

This is book 3 in the Perfect Match series. I loved all 3 books. If you haven’t read the 2 previous books I would start there. I do not think it is mandatory, but I believe the overall reading experience would be better. While all the books are romantic, they are all very different from one another. Riley really knows how to write romance, but can still keep it hot without over doing it. I love her characters, and how different they are but they fit well together. My favorite in the series is still book one, but I was so happy Samantha plays an important role in all of the books. If you read this series and are not at least a little bit in love with Samantha I am unsure if there is any help for you. This book is about two characters we were introduced to earlier in the series. Sasha is a firefighter so instant points for most of us. She is hardworking and loyal. Abby is wealthy and works hard even though she doesn’t really have to. For me these two just clicked. I was rooting for them from the beginning. This is also a steamy romance, which goes perfectly with the firefighter. I enjoyed this one a great deal. I own the entire series in ebook and audiobook form (just purchased this one on audible). They are all great reads as well as listened to. Pick them all up today if you haven’t read them, but this one is just as good as the previous two. 3 winners in a row is a huge successes for Fiona Riley. Ready to see what is next.

This is the third book in her Perfect Match Series. I have read the other two books in the series and was really looking forward to this book. I was not disappointed. Since it is a series, I have enjoyed the constant reunion with the characters.

In this book the two main characters are Sasha McCray, a firefighter, and Abby Rossmore, an accountant. Both ladies are using Samantha Monteiro’s match service but have not found the perfect match yet.

Sasha is a hard-working firefighter who is devoted to her family. Unfortunately, her father is ill, and she is taking on extra shifts at the station and works part-time at a catering company to help cover medical bills. Abby is a millionaire but enjoys working with numbers, so she became an accountant and works at her family’s non-profit organization. Abby does not want anyone to know that she is very wealthy so she implies that she is just an accountant. Sasha and Abby have seen each other at various match socials but Abby feels that Sasha is a player and Sasha’s interests were previously with one of the other clients. When they meet again at Samantha’s wedding, sparks fly.

Ms. Riley has written a great romance. I find her writing to be very smooth, and therefore making it a very fast read. The characters are so well developed in this series that they feel like old friends. It does not take long to get involved in the next book of the series.

I highly recommend this sweet romance. I rate this book a 5 stars out of 5.

I was given this ARC in return for a fair and honest review.

I came into this novel knowing it was part of a series, but not having read the prior books.

This did nothing to inhibit my enjoyment of the story. I enjoyed learning about the characters and seeing them grow. The relationship was genuine and, at times, steamy.

I would highly recommend this book to fans of romance.

This series just gets better and better. Matchmaker Samantha has had a lot of success bringing people together but Abby Rossmore has yet to end the woman of her dreams. She keeps part of herself a secret and maybe that is the problem. When she bumps into firefighter Sasha at a wedding she realises there is a spark, but will it go any further? Their story is steaming hot as one expects from Fiona Riley, but also emotional and funny. I could see why Abby kept secrets but wanted her to see that Sasha was the one person she could trust with them. Sasha was sexy, heroic and caring – who could fail to fall for her? The supporting characters made the story all the better and I loved finding out what happened to Samantha and Lucinda. I hope this series goes on and on because I feel invested in the characters. I highly recommend ‘Strike a Match’.

I was given this ARC by Netgalley and Bold Strokes \books in return for an honest review.

I love this series and Sasha is by far my favourite character yet. I absolutely loved the gritty firefighter details. The romance between Abby and Sasha is perfectly paced and full of wonderful grand gestures, magical dates, and tender, intimate moments.

Sasha “there’s more to me than amazing cheekbones and legs for days” is a fabulous leading lady. The Boston firefighter is strong and sweet, funny and charming, and she’s working two jobs to pay her father’s medical bills. She’s a complicated, fiery character and I couldn’t help falling in love with her.

I didn’t warm quite as quickly to Abby. She’s an heiress working for a family charity who attempts to keep her privilege a secret. It takes time for us to see beyond her wealth to her kindness and her humour. I’m not sure she ever fully understands Sasha’s struggles, but she tries and she cares and she’s pretty special in her own way.

I really love the strong and interesting women in this series. This is a pretty sexy read, but it is the relationship between Sasha and Abby that I found really special. Sasha and Abby make each other stronger and they complement each other pretty perfectly. I’m already looking forward to the next book in the series!

This is the third in the series, and whilst it involves a new couple, there are lots of references to previous storylines, which means I would suggest reading them in order. In my review I assume that you have.

Both Abby and Sasha had been matched with Shelly, but it didn't work out, now they have noticed each other, and in spite of misgivings on both sides, and complications due to family, they give it a try. The chemistry is certainly there, but the openness is not, and causes more heartache to both of them. Matchmaker Samantha, now a newlywed herself, is determined to give them another chance at getting it right.

Getting the full story, the reader is inevitably drawn to the fact that the secrets will all spill out, but the timing works very well. I also think that the closeness and friendship which was developing is key to the story, as it added the emotional to the obvious physical connection that they enjoyed.

With some great side characters, such as Edie, Sasha's parents, and Burger (!) there is both humour and intensity added to the story. I found this a very good addition to the series – and enjoyed the wedding which kicked off the proceedings.

I hope that Ms. Riley is busy writing the next installment, as I enjoy catching up with the gang and seeing who is next to benefit from Samantha's intuition and skills!

In 'Strike A Match’ Riley gives us a update on the happenings at 'Perfect Match’. We get to see what Samantha Monteiro and her lover Lucinda Moss are doing. Getting married. But the real story is about Sasha McCray, a beautiful firefighter who wants to find the right one to spend the rest of her life with. Besides being a firefighter she is also helping her parents with medical bills by working part time with Casey and Elise caters. Abby Rossmore is also looking for love by using Perfect Match but she doesn't want anyone to know she's really rich. She wants someone to love her for who she is and not her wealth. She doesn't want anyone to know she's Edie Davenport's daughter. Riley mixes all these people together, giving us another great, nicely paced read. Very enjoyable.

Sasha is a firefighter (drool) who picks up catering gigs on the side to help pay for her ailing father's medical bills. It's at one such gig, Lucinda and Samantha's wedding in fact, that she connects with the enchanting and outspoken Abby. Abby is unfathomably wealthy, but still she choses hide her last name and spend her days working as an accountant for her family's charity. Samantha can't help but play matchmaker, and the two women are nudged together on several occasions. They can't deny the heat between them. But will the secrets come out and tear them apart?

This is pure romance at it's finest. Two gorgeous and sexy ladies, a great cast of supporting characters, family drama that tugs at your heartstrings. Perfectly paced, great dialogue, slow burn and sexy, all wrapped up in a well written package. You can't go wrong with this book. You just can't. This is the third in the series but you can easily pick it up as each book stands on it's own. If you've read the others in the series though, it's certainly a joy to catch up with some old friends!

I loved the glassblowing in this story - its something extremely fascinating and unique and damn it was hot!

I received an ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

My favourite book by Fiona Riley so far, she just goes from strength to strength. It is always good to read about characters from previous books and especially enjoyable when minor characters then get centre stage. This addition to the Perfect Match series is funny, charming and my favourite of the lot.

I've enjoyed this romance very much, starred by two women that had appeared in the previous book of this series as a secondary characters. Abby, from a wealthy family that hides this fact, even by changing her last name, wary that women are atracted by her position more than by herself. Sasha is a woman that fights for her family under a difficult situation. Both women are strongminded, prided, independent but there is an atraction unstoppable between them. The story has some pasionate and hot scenes, also some sweet moments. There are musunderstandings, several, that lead to emotive reconections. As the other two books of the series, so far, this is a book worth reading if you look for a classic romance.

This third book in the Perfect Match series brings together two women with something in common. They both have used the services of Perfect Match in the past, but a series of near matches have left them feeling like there will never be a special someone for them to love. Sasha McCray is a full-time firefighter who moonlights for a catering company, helping to support her parents and their medical expenses. Abby Rossmore works as an accountant for a charity and moonlights as a reluctant heiress. When they meet at the wedding reception for Sam and Luce all the fire-related superlatives used in the blurb come into play.

Strike a Match gives us just enough Samantha and Lucinda to remember what an awesome couple they make. Riley ties their fairy tale wedding reception into an introductory tool for the moonlighting Sasha, and the confident accountant/heiress Abby. Nothing sweeter than first connections at other people's weddings. It was a perfect showcase for the author’s skills at witty dialogue and her ability to set a scene and fire up the steamy bond these two women have right from the start.

This is a pure romance pleasure read. There are no villains to contend with, no broken hearts from serious past relationships and better still, no crazy ex’s showing up at inopportune moments. There is some serious lack of communication and secretive behaviour which creates a small amount of angst but that doesn’t detract from the amazing chemistry these two strong and independent women share.

A terrific escapist read filled with beautiful people who deserve their HEA. You can’t go wrong with a Fiona Riley read.
