With a relatable plot and likable characters this is a little gem, especially before christmas. I would love to read the other books from Hailes too.

I enjoyed reading this story. It made me laugh in lots of places, be angry at some of the situations, happy when things were going well, and hope that in the end Serena and Ricky, the rock star, would find the love that was lost when Serena needed to find herself when she left him after 10 years of marriage. He is lost without her and follows her to try and find out why she left. He loves her more than anything and wants to be with her. This was a nice Christmas story of the spirit of love, forgiveness, and compassion. TY netgalley for an ARC in exchange for and honest review.

I love chocolate, and any book that has chocolate in the title is bound to be good. Serena Hunter loves her husband Ritchie, but she’s tired of being the wife a hard partying rock star. Now, she’s enjoying life in a small English village making chocolates using local ingredients and just relaxing. Then Richie shows up, trying to win her back, but she doesn’t want to live that lifestyle again. Still, Richie seems different, quieter, more like he did when she first met him, before the fame and fortune changed him. Is it possible that they could try again? Has he really changed or is this a lull in his wild, high-profile lifestyle? A sweet, enjoyable read

An enjoyable read with a plot which makes it differ from the usual girl flees back to safe home only to rekindle love ..... BUT I just couldn't get past the Rabbit's Leap - really??? There are no villages in England with such a daft name - similar yes but this one is beyond the realms of quaint to just plain daft. Sorry but it spoiled my enjoyment of the story as it felt as if you are either laughing at how we are here in the UK or trying to copy it - but not quite correctly.

A beautiful Christmas story about a couple who redefined their life together after 10 years of marriage. Love, without self-realization, can not be fulfilling in the long run.
The question is, can you adapt yourself to the new situation and fight for a common future or choose the easy way and give up.

I will edit later and write a longer review. All I can say at the moment is: I didn't want to leave Rabbits Leap. Can I work in The Sweetest Thing?

This was a fun book to read. Serena had left her rock star husband and returned to her home town. She was really just trying to find herself. When she realized she was doing nothing worthwhile with her life, she was embarrassed. She couldn't tell her husband and after an argument, left him. He followed and tried his best to win her back. He really just expected her to come home with him, but she had done some growing and wanted him to change and listen to her needs for a change. This story really hit the highs and lows of their relationship, both with Serena and Ritchie and Serena and her mother. Very well written. I really enjoyed it.
