So glad to have this book in myh library. All the patterns are lovely and have great detailed pictures. The instructions are easy to read and understand.. I especially appreciate both the charts and written instructions. . There are shawls, hats, mittens, leg warmers, sweaters, and a headband. Good for all levels of knitting.
Such an important book, especially in these times. Deals with both left and right wing arguments as to why hate speech should (not) be protected. Highly recommend it.
Simple designs made luxuriant by lushes yarns.
I love the photography and the most of the patterns.
However most of the designs are meant for bulky yarn, which isn't my favorite yarn to knit with.
I found myself scrambling to find a pattern that is for fingering ...
This was a wonderful collection of patterns! Beautiful pictures, clear instructions. Different projects, yarn weights, yardage. Something to satisfy every urge and make stash diving a treasure. Mittens for my daughter, a bulky wrap for myself. Absolutely delightful.
It's hard to review a book like this but it was decent! Did what it said it would do and all. I feel like I could have found similar patterns on the internet for free, though.
I have received this book through NetGalley for a honest review.
I have been knitting for 3 years now, and have looked at a lot of patterns. This book has easy to follow instructions and beautiful photos of examples of the finished object. I also, liked the notes and description of each project. I am looking forward to knitting Sawyer, Lyndon, Cape Elizabeth, Rockland, Bretton Woods, Prescott, and Mackinaw.
This is a great book! Easy to read instructions and I enjoyed knitting the patterns which is a big thing for me.
Thanks to NetGalley and Interweave for the opportunity to read and review Plum Dandi Knits by Alicia Plummer. Not for beginning knitters, but full of a wide variety of projects awaiting knitting needles and a knitter for their creation. Lists of needed supplies and knitting instructions for each project, as well as photographs, give helpful directions. From leg warmers to hats and scarves to socks and more, this book will inspire knitters, 5 stars!
This book includes a great variety of patterns (leg warmers, cardigans, socks, shawls, vest, etc) in a very cohesive collection. Each pattern has easy to read instructions that I, as a relatively new knitter (I only just started working on my first wearable piece that not a sock) had no problem understanding. If you like cozy, yet elegant knits, I'd recommend this one.

This is a very nice collection of knitting patterns. It uses variety of yarn weights from fingering to chunky. There are some cables and lace - all of it is both charted and has written instructions. The patterns might not be for very beginners, but they are not that hard, either. There is a chart for general garment shape and multiple size measurements for all the sweaters and such, as usual for Interweave patterns. The designs look stylish and the kind normal people would wear. You can check out all the designs in the book on ravelry, and see how other people knitted them.
I received a free digital copy of the book from NetGalley
this is a beautiful book with wonderful patterns that I can't wait to cast on,
Plum Dandi Knits is a great knitting book that puts 23 projects in one book. You can knit big projects or maybe your time space is limited and a small project is interesting to you. All I had to do was pick a project, gather my necessary supplies and go for it. The patterns are straightforward and easy to follow. My favorites are named Lyndon and Bethel. Lyndon is a sock, and I love making socks so I was really excited to find this inside the book. And Bethel is a headband which my daughters love to make different kinds of those and so now we have another pattern for those.

A lovely pattern book as expected. I'm not one to knit with luxury yarns that much. But the patterns are beautiful and are things I could really make work with the yarns I enjoy.
Lovely photography and clearly written patterns.
This gorgeous book gave me many aspirational knitting ideas. As a person who has been knitting less than six months, I felt like most of the patterns were beyond my skill. That being said, I understood the pictures and the descriptions, so it seems like something I will want to circle back to in a year or so!
The world is filled with knitting books - one for every kind and every level of knitter. There are those that feature many kinds of yarn and those that focus on one yarn. Books by the season and books by any other category you can think of. But every once in a while there will be knitting book that is so beautiful, filled with gorgeous projects, that you just can't wait to get one of them on your needles. "Plum Dandi Knits" by Alicia Plummer is one such a book. Beautifully shot, with a wide variety of projects, I wanted to knit each and every one of them.
I am a sucker for cardigans and Genesee looks so cozy that I fell in love immediately. Upon closer inspection the lace detailing around the bottom and under the pockets make it that more special and unique of an item. There is a traditional pair of legwarmers should you want and then there is Fennimer. Almost like a long pair of lacy socks, these legwarmers could be worn in an updated version under a midi skirt, with a pair of heels and everyone can admire your handiwork. I also love the new cape silhouettes that she is showing. There is such a variety of projects that whether you are a beginner or an advanced knitter there is something for everyone.
The book itself is shot beautifully and I would recommend getting it in hardcopy rather than ebook. There are many shots of each project so you can see the item from different angles. If I had to say, the only negative is that as an ebook, some of the pictures were small and I wanted them bigger and to fill the page. The patterns are written out and have charts to again, accommodate every type of knitter. The patterns read logically and are easy to understand. I haven't yet knit any projects so I can only speak to how it is to read them through.
Knitting books are an investment and Plum Dandi Knits is worth it. The patterns are classic that they won't feel dated years from now yet have enough detail to make them interesting. You will want to cast on each and every project in this new book.
This is a great collection of patterns. They all look so soft and cozy. The styling is nice and the photographs show off each piece well. Instructions are clear and easy to follow. If you are looking for a cozy and warm garment or accessory to knit this is the collection for you.
My review: Gorgeous collection of snuggly warm patterns. The photography is wonderful, the patterns look clear, and I have almost all of them in my knitting queue to try. There are also handy hints at the back of the book with drawings for different cast-ons and other techniques. Highly recommended.

My rating: 5/5
All of the patterns in this book are classy and timeless. I saw several that made me want to jump up and run to my yarn stash! I appreciated that every pattern had several pictures to accompany it from every angle. Most importantly, every pattern was well and clearly written. A majority of the patterns were for intermediate knitters with a few patterns for advanced beginners. I definitely recommend this book to all my fellow knitters.
This book has really beautiful pictures. The patterns are gorgeous and for the most part not to hard. There are shawls, sweaters, hats. A very good variety of skills and designs. For the most part they are warm weather items. The patterns are well written and concise.
I don't normally review knitting books that I have never knit from, but saw this one & thought I would check it out. It has quite a range of knitting items that already have given me several ideas of things to knit. You have leg warmers, cardigans, cowls, socks, shawls, finger-less mitts (you can never have enough of those), headbands, sweaters, scarves, etc. The patterns are easy to understand & the charts are simple to follow. I wouldn't put these patterns for a complete beginner but I think if you know the basics you would be able to make any of these patterns. The only thing I would have liked to see would have been a few more plus size items, but I am not disappointed in the book in any way.
I would check the book out and read it. I like the patterns, just not the colors she used in them all. But like all good patterns you can change the color of the yarn.
