Thank You to both Bold Stroke Books and Net Galley for an ARC copy of this book in exchange of honest review.

I love Georgia Beers books. I've read most of them. I own most of them and this title did not disappoint and is among my top 5 favorites by her. I actually read up to 62% of this book probably at least 3 years ago, got distracted by something else in my life and never went back to finishing it. So I started again from the beginning because so much of what I'd previously read was not fresh in my mind. Well I knew it would be like revisiting two friends and it was just that. I just adored the two main characters Lacey Chamberlain and Alicia Wright. Ms Beers descriptions of Lacey and how she talks about herself in her head as well as the great dialogue between Lacey and actually all the characters in the book was so well done. Supporting characters were top-notch too. I loved Mary, Giselle, Lacey's mom, and of course Leo was a stand out character. The build up of Lacey and Alicia's relationship from new neighbors to friends to more than friends was displayed so seamlessly. I'm not going to reveal spoilers but I will say that chapters 16 and 17 were painful, sad and stormy to read and reveal a lot about one of the main characters. This was so well written and entertaining though I will give it a 4 ½ stars instead of 5 stars because I felt that the story ended without enough closure. What kind of punishment did Nascar Kyle get and did he finally learn from his behavior? The build up of Lacey's and Alicia's relationship was done so well until the end I felt it just stopped without a finale. We figure because of this being a romance that they will be together a long time but at the end they still hadn't even stated that they were girlfriends or that they loved each other so it seemed like it ended without it reaching a real conclusion. Even so, this book is definitely one to read. Ms Beers is one of the best lesbian romance writers out there so pick up this book and enjoy the wonderful writing.

Lacey Chamberlain has never felt good enough, she’s taken over her fathers’ accountancy and works her fingers to the bone trying to prove she can cope, especially during filing season. She has a well ordered and controlled life, and seriously doesn’t appreciate the marketing firm who move in next door to her quiet office.

The gorgeous and outgoing Alicia Wight leads a creative team who want to play kickball in the hall, listen to loud music, eat pizza – and who never return the bathroom key. She couldn’t be more different than the buttoned-up Lacey, but seems determined to bring her round and drag her out of her shell.

This is a classic ‘opposites attract” romance done by one of the best in the business. The characters are well developed, there’s a decent sized cast with clear and detailed personalities. There’s a romantic sub plot, enough angst to make it work but not so much it drags with the ‘will she wont she roundabout’, a few unexpected twists and a dog who almost steals the show.

Georgia Beers is one of the best in the business and this is her at her best. A five star traditional romance, well written, great story arc and likeable characters. It transports you into another world, makes you care about the people who come feel like friends, and gives off that warm fuzzy feeling of an exceedingly good book.

Beers writes great romances. Right Here, Right Now is a fun read - compelling characters, lots of humour and a great dog. Just the thing to read on a lazy summer day. Told from Lacey's POV, the story is an opposites attract romance with Lacey, the buttoned up workaholic accountant, and Alicia the fly by the seat of your pants owner of an up an coming advertising firm. When Alicia and her staff move into the office next to Lacey's the sparks fly - both professionally and romantically. The romance follows the standard course, but Beers is an excellent writer and the humour and characters make a familar storyline shine. I quite enjoyed this one.

2.5 stars. This story had a cute premise and likeable characters but it was just boring. The MC, Lacey, is an accountant who is set in her ways. Much of the book documents those very set ways of doing things, her love of her dog and unnecessary details about her clients. Because of the first person point of view the other characters are hard to connect with. I would try another book by this author but I really cannot recommend this one (unless you are a dog loving accountant).

I was pretty underwhelmed by this romance. I missed mostly the switched perspective. Not being able to see things from Alicia's point of view rendered the resolution of her trauma quite surface-level and unsatisfying. It felt forced since we didn't get to see her experience of a world beyond Lacey.

Lacey and Alicia just didn't work for me!
As characters they seemed pretty one dimensional and perhaps the title of the book should've enlightened me that what was to come wasn't necessarily deep. Previously I have quite enjoyed the Georgia Beers' writing and character so it was a bit of a surprise.

Georgia Beers has better books, I thought that the chracters were flat and two-dimensional and the story was way too predictable.

I like Beers but for me this was an ok read. I loved the dog he kind of made the book for me.

You have Lacey an accountant and Alicia who is in advertising. I know one of the characters is in accounting but I found some of the narrative kind of hard to read. Did we really need all that information. It was very over powering. Also was it me or was Brandon really annoying.

I really enjoyed the last quarter of the book. It really did start to pick up and then it just ended and I felt I had missed something. If you like Beers I'm sure you will enjoy this. But the accounting really dulled my view of the book. Enjoy!

I'm not sure how I haven't yet actually read a Beers novel (I think I own 96 Hours and maybe one other, but I haven't had time to read them yet). She has so many books, I think that means I'm a bad lesfic reader.

And while I'm looking forward to reading some of her other books I was not a great fan of this one.

The two main characters are Lacey and Alicia. Lacey is a financial advisor/accountant and Alicia owns a marketing/graphic design firm that moves in next door. Lacey doesn't mesh well with how they work, but slowly they fall in love I guess with mostly the regular sorts of twists and turns.

And what is it with one of the characters in all the recent stories I've read taking it metaphorically up the ass? When really they have every right to be pissed about something?

I can't say I liked a lot of the other characters either. Except Lacey's Mom and Dad and Brother. As well as Giselle. I would have loved to see an entire book about her (maybe she's a little bit bi?? Heh.)

It wasn't a horrible book, but, I found myself annoyed more often than not while reading which was a bummer.

I was given this ARC by Netgalley on behalf of Bold Strokes Books.

I will usually read anything this author puts out, but their sometimes hit or miss. This one was somewhere in the middle for me. I really liked one of the characters (Alicia) but found some of both leads' desicion making unrelatable, and Lacey was a bit hard to like but I was rooting for a happy ending nevertheless!

I have read all of Georgia Beers’ romance books over the years. This book follows the typical storyline. Lacey Chamberlain owns her own tax accounting firm. Most accounts are organized, neat, and have a need to follow a routine. Lacey is no exception to this rule. Alicia Wright runs her own marketing company which is located in the office next to Lacey’s. As one might expect, Alicia is creative, driven, and enjoys living in the moment.

Alicia and Lacey meet and there is attraction immediately. However, neither acts on it until after several weeks of convenient bumping into each other then finally a kiss occurs. However, there are still more weeks of shy looks, some flirting, and company group gatherings at the nearby by bar.

The storyline is good. Unfortunately, I felt it dragged at times. There seemed to be too much narrative regarding the day-to-day tax season regime. I enjoy a good romance and the highs and lows that a new couple encounter. This story, however, had too many accounting details. It is still a romance that someone would enjoy, just not the best of Ms. Beers.

I give this book 3-1/2 out of 5 stars.

I was given this ARC in return for a fair and honest review.

ARC received via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I’m a Beers fan, but the last few of her books I’ve read weren’t my favourites, this one isnt perfect, but I liked it more than her other more recent stories. This reminded me of Starting from Scratch in tone.

It’s told from Lacey’s POV and that does present some issues, in that Lacey is an accountant and it’s tax time when the book starts, which does lead to more descriptions of taxation related things than I ever wanted to know.

First person POV also means you don’t get a great handle on the other main character, which happens here, but Alicia is still an interesting character, who breathes life into the story.

I found the romance between the two to be very sweet and charming, which off-set some of the taxation stuff. Alicia’s ‘secret’ wasn’t hard to guess (I thought Lacey should have been able to figure it out herself) and the drama that plays out around it provided some interest and didn’t seem contrived, which the usual ‘issues’ that pop up at the 3/4 mark usually do. I also enjoyed the secondary characters (and because I’m a sucker for dogs, loved Leo).

Not Beers best, but I still enjoyed it. 3.5 stars.

This was my first book from Georgia Beers, but it will not be my last. This is a refreshing story in the FF genre. it is full of humor (yep I laughed out loud), romance, and kick-a$$ characters!

It is very well written and a story with both a plot and characters you can get invested in and lose yourself. Highly recommended

RIght Here, Right Now is an entertaining romance without too much angst, but it's not the author's best work. The writing flows, the tone is witty and engaging. Alicia is a very likeable character. However, I found Lacey too needy. The plot isn't particularly intriguing, the ending is abrupt and the chemistry between the two leads doesn't quite come across. Overall a pleasant read but I expected more from this author.

I love this author. This was an easy pick for me, as I like to own her books in both ebook and audiobook form. Not a lot of authors are like that for me, but her books are typically good in both formats. This one actually is one of my favorites by her. I loved the characters, including the secondary ones. They made the book enjoyable, and I liked the writing. I spent my holidays reading new releases and this was my favorite out of the bunch. I will for sure read this one again in the future.

I’m not a big romance reader, and have never read anything by Georgia Beers before, so I was in two minds about whether to read this book. Something about it appealed to me, though. Maybe the cover? Anyway I’m glad I did, because I really enjoyed it.

Lacey, an accountant and financial adviser running her own business, likes her life predictable, planned and controlled - she prefers to stay well within her comfort zone. When Alicia Wright’s marketing company moves in to the office next door - noisy, colourful and apparently always eating, playing games and cluttering up the hallway - it’s a bit of a shock to her system. But Alicia herself - spontaneous, warm and dedicated to living in the moment - has a tendency to make Lacey abandon her better judgement...

I found both main characters to be delightful and the writing style - the story is narrated by Lacey - very engaging. While not a vast amount actually happens it’s still a very entertaining read as the two women get to know each other and overcome some personal hurdles. The minor characters are also very well drawn (I loved Gisele) and of course most delightful of all was Leo, Lacey’s dog, who comes to work with her every day and plays a significant role in the development of Lacey and Alicia’s relationship. As a fairly recent and besotted dog owner myself I could totally relate to Lacey’s love for her little dog! (Luckily for Lacey, he’s also possibly the world’s most low maintenance dog...)

It was refreshing to read a romance between two intelligent, professional women, both committed to their work, and who don’t for the most part act like idiots. I found both characters to be believable and could picture them clearly (particularly Alicia, thanks to Lacey’s descriptions!). The way their relationship develops also feels natural and believable. I thoroughly enjoyed this read and would definitely consider reading more by Georgia Beers (I’m aware she has quite a back catalogue...)

Thanks to the publishers and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review.

I have to say this one goes up the list of my favs from Georgia Beers, a long with Too close to touch, A little bit of spice and Run to you. I also found myself congratulating Lacey on her patience, because if I had so much noise in the office next to me, I’d probably have a nervous breakdown!!! Of course, having Alicia around helped a lot I guess! 🙂 I was very fond of this book because it starts funny and casual but ends up being so emotional and heart-wrenching. Alícia has had so much hurt and pain in her life, it makes you wonder how can she stay so positive and fun to be around. Her actions made me sad but you have to understand and forgive her because of her life story. I really liked this book, and I would gladly recommend it to anyone, especially now the the holidays are coming. So, grab a couple of tea with rum, and start reading!

I loved this book! For some reason it took me a couple chapters to really get use to Lacey's voice, but once I did I loved her. She became one of my favorite characters in recent books and equally as charming was Alicia. I thought their interactions from the book's description was going to be cantankerous, but it wasn't like that at all. Yes they are different people with different outlooks on life, but it didn't get on either or their nerves. Instead they found attraction to those differences and helped each other grow and get outside their own boxes, which was lovely to "watch".

Georgia Beers has this very smooth writing style and this is one of her better ones on display. I'm a sucker for a show build up of friends to more, and this had it in spades. With her books, I also end up wanting another dog for some reason...

I would definetly recommend buying this one.

An honest review thanks to NetGalley. I could not put this book down, it felt like only an hour went by and I was done. It felt so real, the situations, the connection between the two characters. The only thing that prevented this book from becoming a five star out of this world read was Alicia. I loved her but once May hit I was taken by surprise. I didn't think there was enough lead up for me to expect that she might pull away, it was a surprise and not a good one. It sullied the ending and rest of the book for me. But... this book was still an awesome read, and I will be coming back for more later!
