It was an interesting concept, but the story just wasn't what I expected.
It has it's fair share of ups and downs, but the characters weren't strong enough for me to form scarring opinion on this story.

Wyoming Winter is the latest book to be released by Diana Palmer. I have to admit I love this author and am currently working my way through her whole collection! So this book is about J.C Calhoun and Colie Jackson. Now these two don't follow the normal romance rules because they have a rather interesting history. Colie is a mum, who always protects those she loves. J.C on the other hand only cares about his ranch. However fate has other ideas. This book is full of romance, misunderstandings and upset. The best thing about Diana Palmer's books is that she gets you invested in her story and the characters. A prime example of this is the fact that this book involves a rancher/businessman called Ren Colter. Ren has his own story in 'Wyoming Brave'. Then that book is connected to another and so on.I found that even my emotions got involved when reading this story to the point that I may have even shed a tear. Whether that was because of sadness or happiness you will just have to read the book to find out. A warning about this book. Once you have read one Diana Palmer book there is no telling whether that book will be your last.

The storyline of this sounded interesting but unfortunately, by the time I had read about 12% of the book, I knew that it definitely wasn’t for me.
The book is supposed to be set in the 21st century but the attitudes of it are like something out of a rural area in the 1950s! The heroine is so naive as to be unbelievable and she isn’t – or rather the author hasn’t allowed her to be - a modern woman. Instead she’s working full time, and also doing all the work in her preacher father’s home. The hero is obviously supposed to be complex but from the bit I read, he instead comes across as cruel and a user of women.
I’m afraid I felt the prejudices against modern life far too overt and in some way unpleasant to read on any more.

When love come knocking, who are we to reject it. It started as a hit and run relationship that ended up being forever. This story got me angry, disappointed and happy. Angry and disappointed on behalf of Colie and happy at the way the story ended. I feel sympathy towards JC due to his foolishness but he learnt his lesson the hard way. I love the way his relationship with Colie's father developed through out the story. Half way through the story, i was screaming for justice and couldn't wait to teach Rob a lesson or two (lol). I really enjoyed reading this story.

I liked the plot of this novel but thought the characters were not three-dimensional enough to be believable (apart from the heroine’s father who was very realistic). I liked the Christian values but found the characters too naive for me.

Whilst I love Diana Palmer and I have been reading her books since I was 14 years old this one just wasn't her best it seemed like a story she had written years ago.

So was a bit of a hit and miss for me.
