This book did not play out the plot or point if it at all. the first half was like re-reading the same chapter over and over. I don't even really know which part if this book was supposed to be the plot. Too many different scenarios. It didn't go together. it didn't flow well. I am unimpressed.
I felt zero connection to the main character, or even the supporting characters. While it was descriptive, there was nothing emotional to pull me in. I couldn't really get into the story line, mainly, because I couldn't tell what that was. It felt very jumpy to me. Parts of the story (eg, like the dog, the daughter) that I thought would play a bigger role, had only a handful of pages here and there. I also couldn't stand the end. The flip flop between wife and his "new friend" was a rebound story. And those never play out well. It really wasn't a book that I would recommend for a book club, or as a top pick for my friends.
