I tried to get into this, I really did, but each chapter I read left me more and more confused. Unfortunately, this just was not for me.

Quite a good read. Entertaining and plenty of storyline to keep me entertained.

Dark, addictive and bleak in the best possible way. I have really been enjoying GrimDark fiction of late and this is a worthy addition. The plot is fast paced and Everus is an awesome character. I love the way this was basically a mystery as well as a dark fantasy.

This is a compelling read that I never saw coming. Not only is this a fresh take on standard character tropes, but a thought-provoking journey that drives the reader to take a long, hard look at themselves and their own assumptions. I found this book challenging me in ways that a fantasy story simply does not typically do for me, and I loved every minute of it. This is an exciting read that is part of a trilogy. I cannot wait to get started on the second installment!
