A gripping read with plenty of intrigue. An excellent cast of characters who were very well developed.
This is the 3rd book that I have read by this author and I really enjoy the way she writes. If you like psychological thrillers which go in lots of different directions, leaving you guessing ,then I would recommend reading this book.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I was so excited to receive a review copy of this book, having read and loved her first two books I couldn’t wait to get stuck into this one .

Unfortunately this book didn’t live up to my expectations and I struggled with it. I was 70% into it before I started to get any excitement from it and only then could I feel some suspense. It just wasn’t the fast paced thriller I was expecting from this author.

I started reading this book on Wednesday night, Thursday night I stayed up until 3am reading, Friday morning breakfast was cancelled as I had to find out what happens. A wonderful thriller, I did not guess the end until it crept up on me. Layla vanishes at a rest stop in France, her boyfriend Finn returns to the UK, twelve years later Layla returns leaving a trail of Russian dolls for Finn to follow. I really could not put this book down.

This is the second book I've read by B.A. Paris through Netgalley. Thanks for being able to read it before publication. Intriguing story and I didn't guess the ending until very near the end.Excellent book which you don't want to put down.

Another 5 star winner from this author who has fast become my favourite writer.
Hands down one of the best books I've read in quite some time.

Many thanks to Netgalley for an ARC of this book - I was so excited to get my hands on it after loving her past work. Ultimately I was disappointed and having read some 5* star reviews I had to check we were all talking about the same book :-(. Don't get me wrong, it started off brilliantly - the mystery disappearance of a young women (Layla) whilst on holiday in France, no sign of her, no witnesses and no leads as to her whereabouts for the following 10 years....Her boyfriend at the time is now set to marry the Layla's sister, Ellen after becoming very close to her in the aftermath of Layla's disappearance. Intrigue, suspicion and a sense of 'what really did happen to Layla' follow, then a bizarre item turns up on their doorstep, followed by more of the same and the story unravels...

I have to say I pretty much guessed what was going on straightaway but perhaps that is because I have read something similar ... maybe that is why others have rated this higher than me as the outcome came as a surprise to them. Not to say that this isn't well written - it is for the most part, but I was just left wanting something else, something to fulful the expectation I had from the first few pages.

What can I say? Yet another triumph from B A Paris and the #ForgetSleep tagline is completely accurate. 12 years ago whilst travelling through France Finn's beautiful girlfriend Layla disappeared without a trace and to this day has never been found. We learn very quickly that Finn did not tell the investigating Police the whole truth about what happened on the night of Layla's disappearance and indeed falls under suspicion of wrong doing himself for a time. With no sign of Layla and no evidence of any wrongdoing Finn heads back to the UK. In the present day Finn has a new life - he is successful in his career, and is engaged to Ellen who just happens to be the sister of Layla. Before long however his happy existence is shattered when the past comes back with a vengeance - is Layla alive and well after all this time or does someone just want Finn to believe that? The story is told from the POV of both Finn and Layla and shifts between events leading up to Layla's disappearance and present day seamlessly and skilfully. I enjoyed watching Finn's control being taken away from him as he was definitely not the most likeable of characters and found myself really questioning who's narrative could be trusted as more secrets and lies were exposed. The ending was a joy - shocking and so cleverly done with all loose ends wrapped up nicely. Thanks to Netgalley UK and HQ for the advance copy in exchange for review and bravo to Ms Paris! Can't wait for the next one!

I would like to thank Harlequin UK and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read ‘Bring Me Back’ by B A Paris in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
In 2006 Finn and his girlfriend Layla are in France on a skiing holiday. On their way home to England Layla disappears and although the police believe Finn is responsible no trace of her is ever found.
Twelve years later Finn has moved on with his life and is now living with Layla’s sister Ellen. A small Russian doll is found outside the gate of their home which has great significance to Ellen, then Finn starts getting emails, supposedly from Layla. Has Layla returned or is it somebody pretending to be her?
B A Paris has written yet another gripping psychological thriller with enough twists and turns in the plot to keep me on the edge of my seat. As the chapters progress between Finn and Layla, the tension mounts until I have to remind myself to breathe. The conclusion is shocking and totally unexpected. ‘Bring Me Back’ is unbelievably chilling and I can guarantee that once started the reader will be unable to put it down.

I had read the previous outing by B A Paris and recalled it (incorrect;y as it turns out) as being something with a twist ( I read roughly 100 books a year so always struggle to remember the details of books from a while ago) so when I read this one, I think I had confused it with a different book and author. Not to say that this didn't have its moments but it was obvious from very early on what the 'twist' would be, largely because of the lexical choices made when writing in the voice of Layla.
Generally there was enough to keep me reading but there were some aspects that infuriated me - like why did each and every woman who had ever been out with the main character fall obsessively in love with him and mourn his cruel dumping of them, despite him being utterly devoid of any positive qualities?? His job is a soulless money-grubbing exercise which involves his interaction with a total of one human in his entire adult life; he physically threatens or verbally assaults almost every single other character in the book, male and female; he lies to the police on the opening page and then throughout; he isn't even described as particularly ood friend, or especially handsome, much less an attentive or kind person (he spends most of his days in his home office, having to be fetched for lunch by Emma, rather than him ever initiating contact) So I pretty much despised him as a character, which made it difficult for me to root for a good outcome.

Whoop whoop this authors done it again, shes brought me to my reading knees.

This authors view on domestic noir is amazing, never seems to fail making my spine tingle and that hairs on the back of my neck come up on end. I always feel a chill when I read B A Paris books.

Finns girlfriend went missing while they were travelling on holiday some 12 years ago.
Never found.

Time has moved on for Finn now, he is engaged to Emma who happens to be his missing girlfriends sister!

What a well weaved story. Then we find that Finn left out some things when reporting his girlfriend missing.

I did guess a few things as the story went on, it didn't detract from the enjoyment one iota, it enhanced it I thought.

Its laid out in alternating chapters between two main characters.

The tension sure build brick upon solid brick.

Dark secrets.
Gripping storyline.

I 100% assure you, you won't get much sleep.

Sleep with the lights ON.

My thanks to HQ and Net Galley or my early copy.

Thanks Netgalley and the Publisher. I have read all the booked by this author and this was equally as good as the other 2. This is a real page turner full of twists and turns and keeps you guessing right to the end.

A fab page turner just like previous books by this author, full of twists that keep you guessing!

When you have had 2 million plus seller books in the past few years, as this author has, its then very difficult to keep this momentum going and produce another, the bar has been set and needs to be reached and surpassed.......
This book is quite good, by any other author I would probably say good however judging it on her prev 2 books it is just quite
good
My main disappointment was part due to the title and part by the story itself I guessed the outcome very early on, way too early on, this didn’t ruin the story for me but did take the surprise twist away!!!
The story itself, complete with twist, is kinda unbelievable and I will leave that at that so as not to give anything away
There are quite a few plot flaws that dont marry up in the story and the Russian dolls are infuriating!!!!!!
The characters are on the whole good but some very one dimensional and gave me a ‘couldn’t care a less’ feel about them
It is saying all that a good read and you will enjoy it but for me just didn’t hit the mark, which I found disappointing
7/10 3 stars

Bring me Back by B.A. Paris a five-star read that you won’t forget. This is my first read by this author and it won’t be the last, my mum kept telling me I should pick her up and I’m so glad I finally listened. This is such a thrilling read, there are twists and turns that will turn your head. The way the book is told by the two main storytellers telling alternate chapters has been done before but this author has done it and as I was reading it I could hear each voice telling me a different part of their story. Each voice builds the tension and pulls you deeper into the story, as each secret is revealed you get sucked more into the story. Finn and Layla will tell their story and you won’t want to put it down, as characters they had so much going on your brain was constantly running in the background like oohh what about this and that and did that mean anything.
What a story, you won’t be able to put it down. I can’t say more without ruining the drama, you need to check this book out.

B.A. Paris has done it again!!! Having devoured her previous books I was unsure whether another book could make me stay on the sofa reading from start to finish - this one did exactly that!! And what a ride of a read it is! It had me swearing at characters, shocked, disturbed and the next time I see a russian doll I'm going to feel a little unnerved!!

The book starts with a flashback to 12 years ago and the disappearance of Layla while away with her partner Finn in France. He left the car at a service station and she was gone when he got back. But the story he told the police wasn't the entire truth and we begin to find out what really happened that night as the story unfolds.

His life now is settled - he's doing well in business and is engaged to be married to Ellen, Layla's sister! But the past is about to make an unwelcome return to his present life and what follows is a pulsating page turner as cracks begin to appear in his controlling persona and the truth of what happened that night Layla went missing becomes clearer.

This book was so cleverly written as I had my mind changed a number of times as to where it was going, who to trust and just what the frig was going on! I love the fact that the unlikeable characters - namely Finn! - were made to feel threatened and scared by what was unfolding around him. His whole outlook on life was to be in control and you see that when he loses that he doesn't know how to act.

Having the story told by Finn and Layla, in the past and the present was also a massive help in building the tension and intrigue and made for a truly addictive reading experience!! It looks back on how they met and the impact that had on one another in the short time they were together before that trip.

The phrase 'just one more chapter' never seems to work for a B.A. Paris book!! Once you start you just can't stop reading!! Highly recommended!

Thank you to the publishers for the advance copy in return for a fair and honest review.

While the previous two books by the author have been very well received, I must admit I didn't really care for them. I decided to give the third book a chance though and I'm glad I did because Bring Me Back is a fantastic novel. Finn's girlfriend vanished twelve years ago and he didn't give the police the full story about the moments leading up to her disappearance. Fast forward to present day and Finn is in a relationship with his former girlfriend's sister when he starts receiving emails that indicate his ex is alive. It's a very tense book and quite the page turner.

Although I enjoyed .many aspects of this book I did find it lost its way a few times and I got irritated with Finn. I got the idea what was going on white early on but was overall an enjoyable read

This is the 3rd book I have read by this talented author BA Paris and she is quickly becoming one of my must reads.
12 years ago while travelling through France on holiday, Finns girlfriend Layla disappeared. He never told the police the total truth of what happened on that night and her disappearance was never solved. Now Finn has a new life and is engaged to Emma the sister of Layla his missing girlfriend. All is fine until Finn becomes disturbed when replicas of Layla's missing Russian doll start to appear and this is followed by an email from Layla.
This is a fast paced thriller that will encourage you to quicken your reading in an effort to find out what will happen next.
I would like to thank Net Galley and HQ for supplying a copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review.
