Lovely book written for children, but amazing for all ages. I loved the illustrations and the writing, and I smiled for most of the book. I would definitely gift a young child this book.

Great illustrations and a wonderful teaching tool! Chloe like most kids don't realize at first all the great stuff in nature! Great way to introduce kids to the outdoors! I received this ARC from Netgalley for an honest review

Beautiful illustrations which made this book a joy to read. The story was very enchanting, about a girl oblivious to nature to start with. Felt like it really would capture any child's imagination beautiful story, beautiful book

A beautiful book that shares a meaningful lesson about taking the time to notice the beauty in everyday things. The Magic Garden goes through the beautiful changes in nature throughout the four seasons. The story was well written, and the illustrations were beautiful. I will be on the lookout for this one in stores.
I received a digital copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Beautiful book to inspire children to explore nature around them. Lovely illustrations too!

Fun and entertaining book. Great illistrations. Would recommend.

This book is about Chloe, the girl who get curious with her surrounding, especially with things in her garden. I think it's a good book for children below 5 y.o, as parents can read it to them and get help to explain the science stuff with the narrative on the book.

This is an adorable children's book; a perfect introduction to the magic of the natural world and the wonders you can find in your garden. The Magic Garden discusses the many marvels of nature throughout the year, with nature itself telling a young girl, Chloe, about all the creatures and plants and how they change and survive. I especially liked the extra information at the end of the story, where different aspects of the natural world – how caterpillars become butterflies, why spiders weave webs, what pollination is – are explained in an accessible way. The illustrations are lovely – both delicate and vibrantly coloured – and show off the beauty that can be found in nature, complementing the text perfectly.

As Chloe walks through her garden the wind whispers to her, beckoning her to pay attention to all the magic around her. From the leaves to the bees to the bugs to the snakes and more, there is so much to see and learn about in Chloe's garden.

I could not keep the kids in my read aloud to stay interested. It might be better one on one before a nature walk.

Life is a type of magic. A tree and a garden growing together. Every little thing perpetuating the life cycle. A lovely and simple story. It has information in the end about some of the elements of the story, like why snakes can eat things bigger than they are, etc. Overall not bad, and it includes some lovely illustrations.

Chloe is a little girl who doesn't pay much attention to nature until the wind and the trees start to whisper to her. They explain all about the magic in the garden such as the transformations of the plants and animals throughout the seasons. The illustrations were colourful and the text was simple but there was not a lot of detail. When you get to the back of the book, there are facts that explain the why and the how of the many changes in the book. Nice for children to think about nature and when talking about animals and their adaptations. The publisher generously provided me with a copy of this book via Netgalley.

What a sweet story about a little girl's discoveries as she walks through her garden. My 4 year old really enjoyed it. I especially enjoyed the artwork. It was very unique. I also liked the animal facts at the end of the story.
Thanks to Netgalley and to the publisher for a copy of this book, which I voluntarily reviewed.

Adorable book about what happens in the garden, like fruit falling to the ground with seeds inside, and then the seeds in turn grow into trees to grow more fruit... It also talks about animals in the garden and the things they do, like spider spinning webs and bees finding nectar to make honey. I really love that the end of the book has a few pages with facts about the various topics touched on in the story, for example a section on how do caterpillars transform into butterflies? and why do fireflies flow?

A beautifully illustrated story about the magic of nature as told by the wind. It has great back material. Perfect for backyard explorers though I do find the "She doesn't see the beauty around her" narrative a smidge unnecessary. You can see and not understand :)

"Chloe lives in a magic garden,
but she doesn't even know it."
This charming book chronicles Chloe's awakening to the wonders of nature that are all around her. One day the whispering wind encourages her to open wide her eyes, ears, mind, and heart and observe the forever changing transformations that are taking place right in her very own her garden.
She instantly becomes aware of the seasonal changes taking place. She looks closely and soon discovers caterpillars changing into butterflies, a night garden that is aglow with insects that shine in the night and choirs that sing to the moon, shy creatures that are camouflaged and borrow the colours around them, birds that weave wonderful nests, spiders that spin spectacular webs and bees that collect nectar from flowers and turn it into sweet honey, just to name a few. She is mesmerized by the wonderment that she is witnessing. Who knew?
The lovely illustrations are a beautiful visual to enrich those mysteries found in the garden. At the end of the book is a section devoted to further explanations of these marvels that the author cited in the story:
* Why do animals camouflage themselves?
* Why do animals have bright colours?
* How can snakes eat meals that are bigger than they are?
* How and why do spiders and birds spin and weave?
* What is pollination?
* Why do bees dance?
I would highly recommend this book to parents and teachers. It is the perfect segue to an adventurous trip to your own garden and also a gentle nudge to encourage us to take time to stop and smell the roses.

The illustrations in this book were beautiful They were colorful and interesting. The text was not too long, so it would be suitable for pre-k and young children. This would be a great book to read about before doing a nature walk or if you have a child that enjoys learning about nature. I really liked it.

Thank you to Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.
The Magic Garden is a beautifully illustrated story about what we can find in nature if we only take time to look. Informative and with language that is both simple and descriptive, children are introduced to the plants and animals that live outside.

The Magic Garden is a simple book of lovely illustrations that delves into the mysteries that exist right outside our doorsteps. It takes the reader on a little tour of an ordinary garden, pointing out some of the amazing creatures that live and work there, regardless of whether we notice them or not.
From snakes to spiders, bees to birds, we are encouraged to take a closer look at some of the more "shy" creatures that surround us every day. While I'm not really a fan of the word "magic" being used to describe nature, I do think the book is simply trying to communicate how intricate and mysterious some of the everyday facets of nature can be, even when they're ignored.
At the end of the book, there are some more detailed paragraphs about many of the creatures that are mentioned -- how they live, eat, weave, spin, etc.
(Thanks to NetGalley for the review copy.)

What a lovely gem of a book A magic Garden by Lemniscates. Chloe is a sweet young girl who lives in a house that has a garden. Chloe watches her garden change seasons and then watches a caterpillar transform into a beautiful butterfly. She notices that everything is changing around her. This book has wonderful bright illustrations throughout and tells a wonderful story of nature.
The magic Garden is a lovely delight for young children, it explains why bees are magical, What happens if a seed falls to the ground, Why some animals are bright colours, Why bee's are so important in the garden etc.
I found I could use this for my classes and make seasonal projects which will involve all my pupils.
5 Stars from me.
