Having read this first chapter I am now really looking forward to reading the whole book! I find Lou very relatable as a character and cannot wait to see what adventures she gets up to in New York!

I haven't read the second book, the first had such an impact on me I have been holding off reading it as I don't want anything to take away the feels from the first. I rate all the books I read on the emotions that Me Before You caused. Why get the first chapter of this one then? I wanted a taster, wanted to see if Lou was OK and you know what? She was just as I remembered. The scene in the airport - typical Lou. Her dress sense - typical Lou. There was mention of Will and we get to see Nathan again! It looks like Lou is going to rediscover herself in NYC and have a great time doing it. She is going to live in the moment, just like Will wanted her to. I will be reading this one - not sure whether I will read the second but you never know.

Jojo Moyes has a way with words. In this first Chapter we meet Louisa as she steps onto New York soil. It's not so much the narrative that fascinated me, but the way it is written. One immediately knows the feelings of her panic coupled with excitement as she faces the Immigration officer, the tongue twistng , slightly dizzy replies that she makes, whilst the Officer remains stoic and somewhat bewildered. Haven't we all been in that situation?

Her joys as she explores the city...horse drawn carriages!...Yellow taxis! Manhattan, enormous, suntipped, glowing and teeming. We have experienced with her the 'internal monologue' (I am drinking New York coffee in a New York Coffee house...) I remember feeling just like that the first time I ate Wiener schnitzel in Vienna, unreal but oh so real!
If the rest of the book is as clever, as beautifully described as this first chapter, there is much to look forward to.

I liked Me Before You and I loved After You. This first chapter of Still Me tells me this is going to get another resounding love from me. This first chapter made me laugh out loud, cry real tears and grin like the Cheshire Cat. If I ever get to New York I think I’m going to be lot like Lou. I can’t wait to see how she continues to grow when I finally get my hands on the rest of this book. Is it January yet?

I was very excited to get the first chapter of Still Me continuing the story of Lou Clark because I absolutely loved the first two books Me Before You and After You. Lou is still as mad as ever I loved the way her mouth ran away with her with the immigration officer and her excitement at being in New York. I can't wait to meet the other characters and especially see more of the housekeeper, I am sure Lou will win her over!

A great start and tantalising insight of what is to come...... I have read all ofJoJo Moyes books and loved every one of them so can't wait to read the full book

Still Me is the third instalment of Louisa Clark’s story, which began with the hugely successful Me Before You and continued with After You. I’ve read and very much enjoyed both, but must confess I can’t now remember much about the second one. The first is much fresher in my memory - probably due to having read the book twice and also watched the film not that long ago.

Anyway, here we open with Lou in an airport, on her way to a new job in New York as companion to a depressed, rich American woman, and disclosing way more about herself than necessary at passport control. This grated on me a bit, because who spills intimate details of their life story to an immigration official, let alone one with a slightly alarming moustache? I mean, I appreciate that it’s a handy way to get all that exposition out of the way early on. But this seemed unrealistic even for a character like Lou who doesn’t have much of a filter.

Leaving that aside though, once Lou arrives in her new home in a grand old building on Fifth Avenue, this is an intriguing first chapter which promises a highly enjoyable story to come. So far we only have her first impressions of the city, the duplex and the unfriendly housekeeper.... I can’t wait to find out about Lou’s new employers and read more about her life in New York - and how her quirky dress sense will cope with an uninspiring-sounding uniform! I’m sure there will be plenty of drama, intrigue and fun along the way.

I have followed Lou's story since the beginning and am so excited to be back in her world. Lou is like an old friend . With Jojo's amazing writing, it feels like a wonderful catch up with a beloved friend. This time Louisa is in New York. I love this as a setting as it is one of my favourite cities I've visited. Even though this was just a first chapter sample so far,I already am completely hooked and cannot wait to read more. I truly loved this first chapter and know so many people will feel the same way. Charming and wonderfully heartwarming.

This small taster gives the promise of another great Jojo Moyes story. It begins with her heroine of the previous two books at her bubbly best, babbling to a stern faced custom official, (haven’t we all been there), at passport control in New York. Through Lou , Jojo Moyes captures all the wonder and excitement of that first encounter with New York. I remember rushing around, eyes bulging and quite likely mouth open, not properly believing that I was actually here. This is the sensation that this skilled author gives us. And it’s only the beginning. What next ?

A little taster of what is to come in this new book by Jojo Moyes. We catch up with Lou Clark as she takes up a new job in Manhattan courtesy of Nathan, Will's carer in the first book, Me before You. So far so good and we are reminded of Lou's quirkiness in this first chapter as she negotiates US immigration. I shall look toward to reading the whole book which is tantalisingly out after Christmas and I know will be a sort after read amongst friends and family.

So a new life for our favourite Lou. In New York and with a very upper crust family, even down to uniforms.

Lou finds herself in a new place with lots to find out about her new life and is excited for her new job.

This review is just about the first chapter of Jo Jo Moyes new book. NetGalley hasn't released the remainder yet, but from what I have read it sounds good and gently humorous. As yet i cannot say whether it will make me cry like Me Before You did but who knows. I wait to read more!

I think I speak for everyone when I say that we all wish Louisa Clark was our best friend. After 'Me Before You', I was so emotionally connected to her character and that only increased with 'After You'. The first chapter of 'Still Me' has left me so giddy to read the next book and see how Louisa is getting on. I'm so happy she's going back into care, a career that is clearly made for her. I love the addition of us getting to know Nathan a bit more too, as we didn't get lots of information in the other two books. Overall I'm marking 25th January in my calendar, so I can immerse myself into Lou's world, and hope that she finds true happiness!

Still Me follows on from the moment where we left Louisa Clark in After You. She is still the ditzy, unique Louisa I loved from Me Before You and After You and I love that Will has already been mentioned. I can't wait to see how the rest of the story unfolds as reading just the one chapter isn't enough. It's clear that Louisa still has a long way to go before she is at peace with her past and Will's memory but I am sure that we won't be disappointed with how the story unfolds. I can't wait to read the rest of the story.

I was so happy to see that Jojo Moyes was continuing with the adventures of Lou Clark - Me Before You and After You were both such wonderful works of escapism and I can't wait to read Still Me. From this sample chapter it looks like Lou is in for quite a ride! (Although I really hope her and Sam work out, I'm rooting for them!).

I enjoyed both the previous books and can't wait to see how Lou's life pans out now that she's making a new start in New York. The first chapters sets the story up nicely with lots of potential for conflict and things to go wrong. And right, we hope. I love Jojo Moyes's writing style and this series is a gem. Can't wait to read the whole thing.

Thanks to Net Galley and Penguin for an ARC copy in return for an honest review.

Me Before You was one of my all time favourite reads, I cried, I laughed and mourned the loss and end of wonderful characters, so when I heard about the release of After You I admit I was a little wary, would I be able to deal with a world without Will? Of course, Louisa deserved her happiness and her moment to experience life to the fullest as Will would have wanted, but my heart was still a little raw and achy after Me Before You. But once again Moyes didn’t disappoint with her follow up book, I was still slightly a little teary at times, but thrilled to be back with Louisa’s character once more! You can say I was totally ecstatic to find out we would be getting even more Louisa in Still me. I really have come to appreciate just how far Louisa has come has a character since Me Before You, she has grown so much, still has so much to experience, but is still the hardworking loving Louisa that we all fell for in Me Before You.

This opening chapter of Still Me was just everything I could have hoped for, Louisa talking a mile a minute at the airport and holding up the customs line was what I would have expected, but I loved seeing this side of her once more. I did feel a bit sad with everything Louisa had left behind; her family and Sam, but I was happy that she was finally going out there and trying out new opportunities. I for one can’t wait to see what adventures she gets up to in New York, and the challenges she will face with the new family that she will be working with. It was also a delight to see a familiar face in Nathan, his appearance really bought out a longing in me for the good old days with him, Louisa and Will!

This opening chapter in Still Me was an absolute delight to read, I for one can’t wait to get my hands on the rest of the book and be a part of Louisa’s world once more!

Loveable Lou Clark is back - what a truly pleasant surprise! It's funny how you can find yourself missing a character from a book, but what JoJo Moyes does so well is to create a lead character that we can all truly relate to in some way or another - opening the pages to another instalment of the 'Me Before You' stories is like welcoming back a long lost friend - you get that warm and fuzzy feeling in the pit of your stomach, along with the sense of anticipation for the good times ahead. This time, Lou is in New York, starting her new job. As we start the first chapter, we join Lou in the airport queue for immigration. Within the first few lines, it is evident that there are going to be plenty of belly laughs over the coming pages - Moyes' fantastic sense of humour shines through with Lou's awkwardness, and we're plummeted straight back into the world of the loveable Lou.

Hooked after just 18 pages - eagerly anticipating the release of this one!
