The first chapter of this long awaited follow up did not disappoint. Louisa arriving for the first time in New York on a new venture, meeting up with Nathan and looking forward to her new position, certainly whets the appetite for more and I am sure what follows will also not disappoint. Looking forward to the rest of the story which I am sure will be funny, poignant and a joy to read.

Having enjoyed Me Before You and After You, I loved this taster of the third book in the series. As with the other two books I loved Lou's character and the humorous way the story is told. It was an enjoyable read and it definitely made me look forward to reading the rest of the book.

Thanks to Jojo Moyes and Michael Joseph Publishing for trusting me to read and review the first chapter of 'Still Me' I have purchased and devoured both 'Me Before You' and 'After You' and I have desperately waiting for Lou to start living again. I loved the honest and emotional acknowledgement in this opening chapter of Lou's love for Will, and the impact that her loss and the absence of him has had on her. I invested in her openness in casting her mind back to him constantly and allowing her still raw emotion to come through to the surface and be brave enough to accept and deal with these emotions more practically. She has come full circle, and is now ready to face her life head on and tackle her life bravely and more confidently by instigating new and exciting opportunities that Will always tried to encourage her to embrace. This first chapter was a fabulous introduction to Lou's brave new adventure and I didn't want it to end !! I want her to take a big juicy bite out of the big apple and inspire others to boldly follow. I'm counting the days until the full release!!!

I really loved this first chapter!! Was sad to have finished and wetted my appetite to read more!! Loved catching up with Lou again and finding out she was pulling through and start new adventures. The setting of the book in New York is fantastic and adds a new dimension to Lou's story. Jojo Moyes has written another winner in my opinion and I can't wait to continue reading the rest of this book.

I absolutely loved this first chapter and it has made me look forward even more to the publishing date for Still Me. I didn't know if I'd just want to read one chapter, but I'm very pleased I did as it was so lovely to find out what's been happening to Lou. Im so pleased with the positive steps in her life and the chapter made me smile, laugh and feel warm and excited for the book to come. The style is perfectly aligned to the other two books and it looks like it will be just as brilliant. I cannot wait!

This review is based on an advance copy of the first chapter provided to me by NetGalley.
I was in two minds about reading it; I was desperate to know what was happening in the would of Lou Clarke but at the same time knowing I would have to wait for the remaining chapters until the rest the book is published on 25th January 2018.
However, I was delighted I took a brave leap (like Lou) and read the first chapter. It gave me a warm glow like catching up with an old friend. Lou’s encounter with the passport official at New York (so true to life) made me laugh out loud, her reunion with Nathan brought a tear to my eye. I was entrigued to find out more about the Gopnik family ( Lou will be working for) and the testy Ilaria, (the Gopnik’s housekeeper). Further, why is the lady of the house not Mrs Gopnik and what will happen between Sam and Lou?
So many questions!
I throughly enjoyed the first chapter of Still Me. It sated my appetite and now I will wait patiently until 25th January for the full book - something to look forward to on the new year. Bring on 2018!

This is an anticipatory review of the new book by Jojo Moyes as all I have read so far is an introductory sample chapter, but I'm going to stick my neck out and give it 5 stars because from the few lines I have read I know for me this is going to be an unmissable and wholly satisfying immersive read.

It's a given that this will be one of the most anticipated books of 2018 and I was delighted to receive this sampler.
Which I began reading immediately and almost couldn't bear that it is only a sampler and I couldn't continue.

I loved the character of Lou Clark in "Me before you" and was thrilled to read "After You" which followed her life after the massive events in Me Before you, but it did leave me dangling somewhat so I am thrilled to be able to follow Lou's adventures as she sets off for a new life in New York. The first chapter was just enough to have me screaming "How can you DO this to me" as all I wanted to do was keep on reading. I predict it will be massive and cannot wait to read more.

Jojo Moyes is a terrific writer and creates the most believable and relatable characters imaginable.

We meet Lou again... at long last!! This time we are transported to the Big Apple awaiting for Lou’s next chapter to begin. This first chapter has me hooked from the beginning, Lou’s endearing and lovable nature just springs from the pages. Moyes has worked her magic and I’ve only read the first chapter!

I was excited to see how Louisa got on in New York and the first chapter picked up right where you left off in After you with Louisa on the way to New York. Only one chapter in I am hooked reading of Louisa’s experience of New York as well as the Gopnik residence and can’t wait to read the rest of the book

Lou Clark certainly makes an impact. I haven't read the previous books in the series, but there are enough clues in the first few pages of this chapter to let me know Lou has had her heart broken. Even though her new boyfriend is still in England, she is in New York for the first time and determined to enjoy and experience everything to the full, just as Will would have wanted her to.

There is plenty of humour and definite poignancy in this story. There is going to be a mix of quirky characters in Lou's new life, and I can't wait to meet them with her.

I received this first chapter sampler from Penguin UK - Michael Joseph via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

Me Before You is a real favourite of mine, so I was pleased to learn that JoJo Moyes was continuing Lou's story with Still Me. The first chapter introduces us to Lou as she joins Nathan in New York at a new job. Her references to Will show that he is never far from her thoughts, but her excitement at being in the city that never sleeps is clear. The descriptions of New York are vivid, and added to the fact that I can't wait to see where the story takes Lou next means I can't wait to read the rest of this book!

Jojo Moyes has the undeniable ability to engage you wholeheartedly from the first chapter of the book. I felt like I was going home when I started reading about Lou again and was championing her as she starts a new life, new job in New York. My emotions were up and down as I felt the ache from losing Will but Lou's unique personality was bringing a smile to my face. One chapter wasn't enough .... desperately waiting for publication day for lots more from Lou in the city that never sleeps.

As someone who doesn't tend to read "grown-up" books, it says a lot about how incredible Jojo Moyes is as an author that I am keen to give anything she writes a go. With a writing style bearing resemblance to that of Sophie Kinsella (massive compliment!), the Me Before You series is one that has kept me captivated with its humour and emotion, so naturally I was very excited to get to read the first chapter in advance! The only downside is that it's left me desperate to read the whole thing!

Still Me takes us across the pond to New York where Lou has just got a new job, is to reunite with Nathan and will have to wear a uniform, which I can't quite imagine going well! This first chapter is full of Lou's wit and chattiness, but also some hints to her past and Will, as she makes her way through airport security and to her new place, ready to start the next chapter.

I started reading the first chapter of this book and immediately felt happy to be back in Louisa’s world; like catching up with an old friend to hear about her adventures. The descriptions of New York through Louisa’s enthusiastic eyes were great to read and I can’t wait to get my hands on the rest of the book.

Me Before you ranks amongst my favourite books ever- so I am positive this is going to be a real treat.

I was delighted to get a chance to read the first Chapter of Still Me! I cannot wait to read the rest of the book. Having followed Lou’s journey (using lots of hankies along the way) I can’t wait to see what is in store for her in New York. I could imagine I was right there with her as she walked along to the coffee shop! I always feel Jojo Moyes knows how to suck me right into the story, feeling I am right here feeling what they are feeling. Lou Clark I cannot wait to travel back to New York to finish the adventure! I have already packed my tissue’s.

Even with just one chapter I am hooked, I cannot wait to see what’s in store for Louise in her new job in New York! Will she find her happily ever after? Who knows, cannot wait to read the full book :-)
