I did not read this book but would like to in the future. Unfortunately for me, it was archived before I could download it.

Family secrets and lies always make for. good read and that's the case here. A well written novel with good characters.

Very fast paced and very intriguing. I enjoyed how it kept me hooked and it was an original story. Nowadays so many books read the same. Highly recommend. Just beautiful

DI Alex Hartman is investigating High Court Judge Lionel Franklin and in the process falls in love with the judge's niece Catherine. She is an innocent being manipulated by her uncle. The two lovers marry with out the judge knowing. They have a son, Peter. During this time Alex is still putting together the info he and his partner Dougie have been able to find in their investigation. Alex & Catherine are killed leaving Peter. Now the uncle has a new generation to control. Peter starts to figure out things have not been as they should be and with help from those close to him he starts to investigate his great uncle to see what happened 24 years ago. This is a very involved story with many twists & turns. I highly recommend this book.

I enjoyed this book although it was difficult to decide what genre it was - romantic fiction, crime fiction or a historical novel. I decided not to bother about that, but just enjoy the story.
I loved the characters and the passionate love story of Catherine and Alex and how their love transforms them. Sarah's character and her faithfulness to her friend, Catherine is also very endearing.
The book was slightly unevenly paced at times - with Part 1 slow and then Part 2 and 3 picking up pace.
Altogether an engaging read.

Generation of Love by Nancy Pulford is a book in 3 parts . It is about two generations, Alex and his son Peter. Both find love but both have to struggle with the influence of judge Lionel Franklin who is at the centre of an evil network. The story is divided in three parts and part three finally picks up the pace and suspense is building up. However, the first parts are slow reading and I almost gave up after part one. It was confusing what genre this book represented was it a family story , a love story or a crime story? In the end the book is a bit of all of them. So it is all in all and easy read with some suspense at the end. I would recommend it for an easy entertaining holiday read.
