I have followed Marcus Waring when he worked for Gordon Ramsey through to Materchef the Professionals. I have many cook books but I am happy to add this to my repitoire
The recipes are well research, the photos are professional and keep saying to the reader cook me. Loved the ginger and fig cheese cake - seasonal but a wonderful treat, the slow cooked pork belly with burnt pear and nutmeg is to die for espcially in the autumn when pears are in abundance.
Well thought out and realistic we can all cook these recipes.

A sample of Marcus Wareing's new cookbook but not enough to get stuck into. The sample provided seems to show quite easy to follow recipes.

Fabulous recipes from an amazing chef.
Great photos of some of the recipes
Ive tried a few it gives you great instructions which are easy to follow
Would highly recommend
Thank you to Netgalley for a copy for an honest review.

Received a sample copy of this via NetGalley - as always Marcus Wareing delivers. A highly accomplished chef, he uses good quality ingredients & his ideas come from heart. The cheesecake recipe is sensational.

I never actually received a copy of this, so therefore I can not actually review it. I tried multiple times to download it and even sent a note informing NetGalley of this. I heard nothing back,

I have enjoyed trying some of the recipes from this book. I particularly enjoyed the tomato, goats' cheese and black olive salad - very tasty, especially with the addition of the tangy capers. I do love a traditional Greek salad and this was a very nice twist on a classic. The pork and chorizo burgers are also a family favourite now.
I do find some of the recipes a bit fiddly to prepare, so I do cut corners at times, and purchasing the ingredients for the first time can be a bit costly (such as the capers), although the overall cost is not too bad once spread over several meals. I like that, in the current climate, this is book that focuses on taste and enjoyment, rather than calories and fad-diets. I would happily purchase this as a gift or recommend to other food lovers.

From what I saw and read this is another nice recipe book. Pictures look amazing with plenty of descriptions and handy to have recipes on the side for a quick reference. Recipes themselves looked rather unique.

The recipes are in a slightly strange order making it more difficult to browse when looking for particular type of recipe, so instead of having all the starters, mains and desserts together in different chapters they are split into categories such as Midweek, Weekend and Entertaining. Nevertheless, there are some excellent recipes which are easy to follow, with easily obtainable ingredients and not too many different stages to follow. Not every recipe has an accompanying photo, but those that do look appetising and give a good idea as to how the finished dish should look. Particular recipe favourites were the spicy summer salad in the Midweek section and Lemon Fudge Puddings in the Weekend section.

Many thanks to the author, publishers and Netgalley for a free ARC of this ebook sample.
I find it difficult to give a comprehensive review of this ebook as only a small sample is made available giving 3 recipes. They are very nice recipes by the look of them, well photographed and appealing. However it's not really enough to be able to determine whether or not the full book would be worth buying.
I'll give 3.5 stars.

Sorry but I have not been able to download this book ☹️ but I am sure it is full of lovely recipes....

I hadn't realised this was a sample of the book. Unfortuntaly there isn't enough to form a proper opinion as nost of the pages are the index and introduction. There was a couple of recipes with photgraphs that looked good.

Interesting recipes written using simple language that make them accessible to beginners or more advanced cooks.

Great range of recipes for all levels to cook and although some may find the odd 'fiddly one' , some recipes are meant to ease out of your comfort zone and experiment. Love trying out new ones!

The sad thing about this review is that it is based on sight of three recipes (excerpts from the book): one recipe is for honey baked feta with lavender, thyme and rye bread crisps; the second is slow cooked pork belly with burnt pears down nutmeg and finally fig and ginger cheesecake. For this reason it’s hard to give a top score of 4-5 stars.
The theme of the book is looking at ‘modern classics’ and some of Wareing’s own classic recipes, based around the four areas of the garden, the farm, the sea and the store cupboard. He stresses the importance of using good quality ingredients and mentions the importance of food and cooking as part of life at home. The book is designed for all skill levels, from beginner up, which is reassuring and the sample recipes reflect this.
The photos are beautiful and make your mouth water. Enough now, off to buy some feta!

Marcus, this book is amazing. Features a variety of fantastic recipes that are not too difficult when explained and structured as well as these. Incorporates many techniques, I have already learnt a few new ones from this book.
Recipes you can actually follow at home with every day ingredients. Where a technique is required he tells you about it first, and the recipes are all broken down into easy to follow and logical steps.

I will definitely try two out of the three of the sample recipes. I may even try the third just for me. The layout is clear and a joy to engage with. I cannot wait for the title to land in stores.

This is a short sampler with just a handful of recipes. Based on this alone, there are lovely photos that make the dishes look hugely appetising. Simple to follow recipes, with some interesting ideas that I certainly wouldn't have thought of otherwise. I'd definitely pick up a copy of this book to check out a few more of Marcus' recipes, based on this sampler.

Easy to follow recipes that always turn out quite.
Some techniques can be a little complex or take a while to follow correctly, so it's not a book for 'after work cooking' but very much worth it for Sunday lunch or occasions to show off.
Less 'chef' and more 'cook' in his approach which made for good reading.

This is only a sample, with very few recipes in it. They sound delicious, but it’s difficult to review a book when you only get 3 recipes.

This is such a great little sample of some fantastic classic Marcus Wareing dishes. Detailed enough without being over complex with some fantastic photos included.
