I know of Robert Harris through adaptations of his fictional works based in fact.
Harris has an intriguing knack of taking reality, and twisting it just enough to make you believe his version is reality, much to the ire of purists who's wrath he (amusingly I hope) has to bare.
The combination of novel and film adaptation with such a stellar cast makes for excellent ready and watching, though likely should occur some time apart for maximum satisfaction
