This is a cute collection of funny poems with children as its intended audience, although adults could find this somewhat entertaining.
I received a free electronic copy from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I was unable to read this one, however, as there were some technical difficulties. I will be happy to try again when the issues are resolved!
I enjoyed this book of silly, nonsensical, and irreverent poems. It is so reminiscent of Edward Lear's limericks. A fun and entertaining read.
This is a cute poetry book targeted towards children that I thought was pretty cute. The poems are all about various random topics but all things that are appropriate for kids. Depending on your definition of cursing, there may be considered some mild cursing in here but it's very brief. For this reason, and the fact there are some harder vocabulary words in it, I'd probably not recommend this for kids just learning to read, but more for kids growing into chapter books. Sadly I didn't feel I could rate the book higher than 3 of 5 stars because I didn't feel like there was much to set the poems apart from other contemporary works but they were cute and I enjoyed the book.
I would like to thank the publisher, author, and Netgalley for providing me with a copy in exchange for an honest review.
An adorably illustrated and written children's collection that is very useful for teachers.
These were okay. We're dealing with a collection of silly poetry targeted at children, and it was okay for that purpose. I don't know if they are humorous to really keep the attention of the kids who pick it up, though. also, the illustrations being a bunch of stylistically inconsistent clip art was a little disappointing.
I love "bad " poetry that's good! Not sure what age would enjoy this, I'm an old woman and I'd buy it for a grandchild whom I thought would appreciate it! Adults might like them just as well and they might well study them in college someday - who can tell? Just plain silliness! Kudos to the mattress and pillows, etc... as they helped the author write this funny little book!
